You're still wrong at least when it comes to USPSA. The course of fire begins at the Make Ready command. There are certain things that you cannot do during the CoF without a penalty. One of those actions that will incur a penalty is lowering the hammer of a selective action DA/SA pistol to any position except all the way down when competing in P or CO. The penalty is a bump to open. The start signal, in this particular case, is meaningless.
  2. Why? It's completely unnecessary. The only reason some have it is because the US Army can't grasp the fact that handguns are safe without it.
  3. Sure you can. You can use literally almost any belt that is stiff enough in compression to hang a holstered pistol and 3 - 5 full magazines. Here in the US many (possibly hundreds of thousands) choose to carry a handgun for self defense and our normal belts are designed to do just that. They'll work just fine in USPSA. In fact, that's what I used for my first few matches.
  4. They are #4-40 screws going into aluminum threads. They need very little torque because the optic (at least mine) fit very snugly on the front recoil bosses and on the threaded posts of the plate. 10 in-lb would be as high as I go, and with medium strength thread locker.
  5. I have no idea why they say that. I've never had one of their products. What I can tell you is that I have a CZ P-09 and P-07 and Glocks 17 and 19 all milled for Trijicon RDS and my Holosun 507 fits just fine. It also fits just fine on both the CZ and CHPWS Trijicon optic plates for my CZ P-10s.
  6. I have a CHPWS plate on my P-10C. It holds the optic extremely snugly, to the point that the optic's screws need to do very little work. It's an excellent design and well executed. I base my opinion on 26 years of manufacturing experience. I've heard some drama going on around the internet with their name on it. I don't really care as I don't pay attention to that. I have a good product from them and that's all I care about.
  7. The Holosun 407C, 507C, and 508T reflex sights have a Trijicon footprint and will fit any plate meant for the RMR or SRO.
  8. Take measurements and then order what you need from McMaster Carr.
  9. That's why I've stopped trying to help in threads like these. People come here asking questions without doing one second's worth of research on their own. The IDPA subform is the absolute worst for those. On top of that the OP never came back to engage in dialog, never clearing up if his intention was to use a the same belt system for both sports or not. If he doesn't care that much, why should anyone else?
  10. I have over twice that many rounds on my P-10F OR, still going strong. Your failure reinforces my opinion of MOS as not good to go.
  11. Youve already been told that's not how it works.
  12. Sometimes risky plans come with big rewards and even one more round can provide some extra confidence. I shoot CO and I plus 1 every single time, both for consistency's sake and because there is zero downside.
  13. If I were you I'd just buy Strike Industries +5's. They are half the price, include a new spring, and definitely pass the gage. Personally I don't care how they look.
  14. Plated all day every day and twice on Sunday Smoke and leading are the reasons why
  15. I don't of anyone who ever complained of having too much ammo on them.
  16. LOL enjoy your long time stuck in C class
  17. It's 9X19.....learn how to properly grip a pistol and the choice of ammo won't matter. As has been said you're wasting time and effort focusing on trivial differences in ammunition. Time and effort that should be used to improve your grip.
  18. So this is an academic question with zero practical value. Got it.
