  1. Thank you JThompson I sent you a picture. Chris that was my next question is which one to buy?
  2. Thanks I am trying to add a picture but dont know how yet.
  3. I think the firing pin stop is cracked in the lower left corner? What do you think and if it is how hard is it to fit a new one. I have an Aftec extractor and have never done this before. The gun has 12,239 rounds on it. It is and STI Edge in 40.
  4. YES go shoot now. Take it slow and be safe, you will be hooked the first match.
  5. Same thing here, I have been running a cr speed for about 2 years in Limited and wanted to try the bladtech. I am faster with the bladetech so I am sticking with it for a while.
  6. When I shipped a gun to the gunsmith, Fedex never asked me if he was an FFL. It just has to go overnight
  7. You might could look into having him ship them Fedex?
  8. Ok I went to the range today and I played with the holsters. I set a target at 10 yards, draw 10 times with A zone hits. CR speed holster avg. time 1.33, switched to the DOH avg. time 1.19. I know Iam not that fast but Iam working on that. I think I will use the DOH for now. Not sure why I was faster with the DOH, but for me it is working. Also dont have to worry about knocking the gun out of the DOH.
  9. I also use the GRx and single stage press. Have loaded about 6,000 with no problem
  10. Thanks for all the input, I have been shooting a CR SPEED but have been thinking of switching to a BLADETECH DOH. I dont think The Speed holster is any faster for my shooting. I have been watching all the different starts and a speed holster might help in about 25% of starts. With a hard chrome Edge finish is not a problem.
  11. If you were going to shoot Limited only with an Edge, what holster would you use a CR Speed or a Bladetech DOH? With most of the starts we do in USPSA is there an advantage to a race holster?
  12. I would go with the GRx. I have one and dont even chamber check my rounds anymore. Also when you need more brass you can buy once fired from anyone and just run the brass through the GRx and be good to go.
  13. The first belt I bought was a CR speed, Liked the belt so I havent tried anything else. I have bought 3 more belts since.
  14. I use a CR Speed for limited, and Sidearmor for production. I have been thinking of switching to the DAA for limited.
  15. I would start in production, shoot different matches, learn how to shoot a stage. While at diffrent matches look around and talk to open shooters. There are so many different open gun configurations that it would be nice to know what you like or want so you buy 1 instead of 2 or 3 diffrent guns
  16. I started out shooting glocks, made a change to a STI Edge about 2 years ago. Love the STI, so last night I shoot a local match with the glock in production, I sucked. By the end of the night I was better but by that time the match is over and I didnt shoot as good as I normaly do. I still have several glock and still like them, but I think switching between different gun will only hurt your score in both divisions.

    Guide rod jump

I have a G21 with a KKM barrel and wolff guide rod 15# spring. It does the same thing every time I take the slide off. Never had any trouble with function. I beleve this is a normal thing to happen when removing the slide, that is why you have to be careful with the factory guide rod, you can chip the edge when reinstalling the slide if you don't reset the guide rod.
  18. I checked and my SD is 14. Good link to the SD, I will load some more test rounds with 5.0gr at 1.200 and 5.1gr at 1.200 and 1.220 and see what that does and if the SD is lower. If I go lower on the OAL say around 1.180 can that affect accuracy? I will also load up some at 1.190 and 1.180 and see.
  19. Thank you for the help. I will chrono the rounds again and see what happens.
  20. N320 fills the case about 1\2 way. I was searching diffrent loads and it seems that not to many people load that long. Most load in the 1.180 to 1.200 range. That is what got me thinking about setting the oal to 1.200 instead of going up to 5.1gr
  21. The load was from Brazos it has work on my chrono. The accuracy is the same on both loads. As for making major at other matches, this was my first major match. Nothing has changed in the load, the temp was about 68* my chrono data temp was 72* Both loads function 100% in the gun, I was just wondering which way to go. Eather up the charge to 5.1gr or shorten the oal to 1.200
  22. Iam shooting a Brazos SC Limited. My load has chroned at 171 several times. Shot the Florida Open in Feb. and my load chroned at 165.0 to close for me. My Load is Win brass 5.0 N320 WSR primers MG 180 jhp 1.220 My question is should I bump the charge up to 5.1 or lower the Oal down to 1.200 With 5.0gr at 1.200 the pf is at 175, and With 5.1gr at 1.220 its at 173 The gun will feed both oal fine.
  23. I have done some chrono with a glock 21 and kkm barrel. My load just made major 165.6 average of 720 fps Clays 4.0 cci large pistol hornady 230 haps oal 1.230 crimp .470
  24. I read about g-manbart grips and they look great and was wanting to try a stipple grip and undercut. The aftec grip from derek looks good but I might try one myself, just not sure yet. I shoot a brazos sc limited I got in oct. I was thinking about a red grip.
