  1. Current rumor is that it will be in Montgomery. CMP will not be hosting it again.
  2. One of them was run at classic nationals, and they probably used production HF's to guess for L10/SS/Revo. For PCC, probably CO or Open based?

Thanks, but that is for the housing itself, not the actual spring.

I am really, really sorry to resurrect such an old thread. But... how in the world do you change the mainspring on a Mk III? I bought a new one from Ruger hoping to solve some ignition issues (already changed the firing pin) with Eley Force ammo, but I cannot figure out how to take the mainspring out of the housing.
  5. It would be nice for expectations regarding reset to be spelled out in the rulebook, so that people who are truly not helping with reset are punished appropriately. One of my friends at A6 this year was behind a squad where 4-5 shooters simply refused to help reset, even when staff told them to.
  6. Pretty sure it's legal, as long as the original gun is started life as is on the production list.
  7. I meant remove the broken side, not removing the entire mechanism
  8. What rule states you cannot change from an ambi safety to a one sided safety?
  9. No chance at replacing (or just flat out remove) beforehand? Better to spend that bit of time and money to avoid being told you can't use that gun.
  10. No, you should not touch the timer or the tablet if you can't remain objective when you are ROing someone. I don't give a damn who I am running, I set everything else aside during the course of fire so I can focus on being fair and safe.
  11. For my club, we post results to Practiscore as soon as everything is synced and good to go. They get posted and paid the next day. Other clubs usually post to practiscore same day but then can take days or even more than a week to get them into USPSA>
  12. Depends on who milled it. Romeo 1 Pro will not fit on my M&P slides milled by Primary Machine.
  13. We made that part of the shooter's meeting - we have a list that we read from (yes it's canned/scripted but it means no excuses) to remind folks that everyone is expected to help with reset and at the end of the match, packing up.
  14. We use iPad minis, and during the hot months we have sun shades for keeping them from overheating. They work well for us - we also have otter box cases for them.
  15. Welcome! What part of Georgia?
  16. Sounds like your area is in need of an RO course. Have any of the MD's thought about getting a class?
  17. That's part of the reason we do our match setup the day before with a smaller crew.
  18. If you're there early, and they need the help, you should pitch in to help. I can say with almost 100% certainty that the folks doing the setup are well aware of you walking through and not helping, and there's probably some judging going on.
  19. The reason that advice (focus on points, be safe) is given because most of us have seen a brand new shooter trying to shoot too quickly and do something unsafe by mistake (ie they throw 2 shots on a target, realize they missed as they leave the position, then lead with the gun coming back and break 180). The reason that I personally recommend limited to new shooters is to reduce the number of magazines required (not everyone shows up with 5 mags, I've seen folks turn up with 2 15 round mags, luckily we can usually scrounge extras) and the number of reloads they have to do (another potential for unsafe action). The key point that some folks leave out is: shoot slow and accurate for your first couple of matches and then work on turning up the speed, and potentially shoot a different division. Get some experience under your belt and then start cranking it up.
  20. Registration for Dothan's Endless Summer Blast is now open! The match will take place on Saturday October 10th. It's a level 1 match, 10 stages (say around 300 rounds, stages are TBD). Lunch is provided, and there's a prize drawing after the match! Cost is $100, and you (or your delegate) must be present to win prizes. https://practiscore.com/2020-endless-summer-blast/register
  21. (speaking for USPSA) - under what rule?
  22. USPSA is not really a spectator friendly sport, because without a lot of editing or commentary you can't tell what's going on unless you know what to look for. Maybe a channel/group that provides that could build more interest.
  23. As fun as that might be... I intend to take it seriously.
  24. I use powerpoint for mine - i can strip out our club info and post it up if you want. We have it set up to print onto a letter sized piece of paper.
  25. Ha! Out of curiosity, how common is arbitration these days? I have not been around that long, but the closest I've seen was at a sectional a few years ago, but that was avoided.
