  1. We had a texas Star at our local match a few months ago that was completely covered by hard targets on the top half... its was excruciating to watch people shoot it..
  2. Grip is so important to being able to shoot correctly and accurately. It’s how the body connects to the gun.... obviously. So if there’s problems with grip it’ll manifest into multiple other problems.
  3. I disengage right when the gun is horizontal to the ground as im punching out. Since I ride the safety it only takes a small amount of pressure when i decide to disengage
  4. Yes steel challenge is definitely helpful with USPSA. It helps with draw skills, target acquistion, Speed, and your putting rounds down range. How could it not help? Plus its a ton of fun! I honestly like shooting steel challenge more than i like USPSA.
  5. If anybody is looking for a custom made leather holster check out Flatland Leather company out of Lubbock, Texas. Garrott has made a few items for me and everything is top notch leather craftmenship. https://www.instagram.com/flatland_leather_co/?hl=en
  6. Does anyone have an SV airsoft pistol? Are they worth the money? Who actually makes them? are they just using the SV grip?
  7. Does anyone have any suggestions for reloading when you’re shooting at a target that’s close to or on the 180 degree plain. Most of the the time I would never reload at this point but I missed the point where I should have and ran out of ammo. What would be the proper way to reload this?
  8. I still have trouble keeping both eyes open. It’s a mental war that I continuously think about whole shooting. I have gotten much better the more I shoot.
  9. Atlas make absolutely wonderufl guns. Ive got to play with one a few weeks ago and its ran so nice. Its also nie because the wait on them isnt as bad as some of the other custom guns out there. Id also look at a CK Arms Hardcore or a Shay Acai thats in stock somewhere.

  11. Wilson are the best 1911 mags out there in my opinion. They are a little bit more expensive but worth every penny.
  12. i try to shoot atleast 4-5 matches a month. thats steel challenge, IDPA, and USPSA combined.
  13. some people still run glocks in the open devision. Although they are heavily customized, they still have theyre polymer frame. In the carry optics devision the #1 gun is the M&P C.O.R.E. which is a polymer framed pistol. I dont think they are going anywhere anytime soon.
  14. Correction powder valley is back in stock on AA#7 ill have to pick some up.
  15. what do you start off with on your 38super load grain wise?
  16. what do you start off with on your 38super load grain wise?
  17. AA#7 is kind of hard to fine. Midway is sold out. powder valley is out. cabelas is out. Im sure i can find it somewhere but then the shipping gets kind of high!
  18. Does anybody use longshot in their 38sc load? I'm still pretty new to the open guns and reloading so ive only had a chance to use a few different powders. Autocomp and 3N38 are the only two I've experimented with. Ive heard longshot is another one to consider. My main goal is to find a powder that really works the comp and creates a load that shoots very flat.
  19. taking some time off and really thinking about what you need to improve on is probably a good bet. All of us go through slumps. they suck but push through it and keep shooting!
  20. I do a combination of the things you talked about. I shrug it off to a bad day, try to figure out why things went wrong, and implement in my practise what i need to work on. Everyone has those bad matches and just coming back and working on your weaknesses is the main thing.
  21. i do the same thing. The first stage is always my worst one.
  22. i dont count my shots when im shooting a stage. Theres already to many things going on. I just make sure i reload where ive decided to when running through each stage.
  23. being in the present and almost meditating before a stage is one of the most helpful things to me. When i get put in the hole i stop taping targets and start getting in the mode. when i move to on deck i prefer people to stop talking to me so i can run through the course of fire in my head. This helps clear out all the distractions so i can shoot to the best of my abilities.
  24. I have a bad habit of pushing myself to be better than everybody else and at the end of eveything i end up hating the whole sport. its better to just relax and enjoy the finer aspects of shooting. Im really trying to just do this for me and not be so competitive right now.
