Yeah I thought about that. I’m very happy with the vortex Venom and I couldn’t justify the added cost of the optic plate milling job on a pistol that cost $358 new. I had a dovetail mount on this gun before I decided to mill it. Didn’t care for the added height(about .250” higher than it is now)

Couldn’t wait on a factory 2.0 Core so I sent my slide to DP Custom and had them mill my slide for a Vortex Venom. They did a really good job. Only $82 too! Caught it on sale.

I’ve never slugged my Barrel. I’ve shot thousands(15k) of summers enterprises that come out .356 with zero leading. These gallants are .355 and lead every couple hundred rounds.

My Brazos .356" 125gr came in today. They look good. Haven't measured any yet. Will load some tonight. I am getting pretty good leading with the Gallants I have been using. Have to scrub my bore after every practice or match. The 125gr gallants also are 128-130gr. Very inconsistent. Might have just gotten a bad batch.

No one seems to run the Apex parts. Is the GG kit that much better?

I use my optic to rack the slide as well. Seems to be holding up. Not easy on it. I don’t mind the fingerprints since I look “through” the dot. Don’t ever notice the window being dirty

DAA single stack racers. Polymer ones. Work perfect.

Just ordered 3,360 of the 124’s from Brazos this afternoon. Can’t wait to try them out.

I’m going to have to try these Brazos bullets. Might put in an order for some 124’s tomorrow.

I’ve done it both ways. I’ve put my Core slide on my 2.0 frame and the 2.0 slide on the 2.0 frame. I’m unfamiliar with your trigger work. All of mine have the apex kit

Is the slide stop pushed all the way down? It will almost click in place until you file the back of the tab down. You can can also remove the detent mechanism. I’m out of town right now but I’ll get some when I get back home. There is a YouTube video I’ll link here too

I never have an issue with a 13lb spring in a 1.0 or 2.0. Several thousand rounds through both of mine with no issues. I don’t like the 11 or 12 though. Had the failure to completely return to battery several times. Odd that one pound makes such a difference. To answer your question though, I don’t know. I’ve never seen any excessive wear on mine.

Yep. Works perfect. Just need to file the inside of the thumb tab that contacts the new detent. Takes 5 min.

You can Install and slide lock lever from a 1.0 and it will even auto forward. You have to file on the back of it so it doesn’t engage the detent on the new 2.0 frame.

I love the Remington 1 1/2’s for 9mm minor. I get 20 extra FPS with them over CCI and Winchester. I have had zero light strikes or malfunctions with remingtons. Out of multiple different pistols. I think people get the 1 1/2 and 5 1/2 mixed up. I would buy more but I can’t ever find them cheaper than CCI or Winchester

I have two of the 22/45’s. If you installed the MKII hammer bushing and remove the magazine disconnect, they are just as simple as a MKII to take apart and clean(and reassemble) that being said, I hope my dad sells me his MKIV target soon. That’s a sweet pistol!

I wound up modifying my safety dingus and it’s much better now. I still prefer the curved but I think this will grow on me Still works as it should

Ok. I can do that. As long as it still has a functioning trigger safety, it’s ok to modify that. I just didn’t want to screw myself at a level 2 if they did an equipment check.

So..... I have a 1.0 M&P with the polymer curved FSS trigger. Love it Now, I have a 2.0 M&P with the flat FSS and hate it. The safety dingus sticks out 3 times as far. You really have to press perfectly straight back and towards the bottom of the trigger. Doesnt that defeat feat the whole purpose of a flat faced trigger? I wish they they would come out with a polymer curved trigger for 2.0. Sorry for the rant.

Yeah I have decided against getting it milled for a specific sight. I have a Core with a venom mounted and I ordered a dovetail mount for my 2.0. I don’t want to be married to a certain red dot. I’ll wait til they release a 2.0 Core model.

Had a guy at a match yesterday with a brand new DPP. Dot kept shutting off mid stage. I’m gonna stick with my $200 vortex that seems to always work until something more reliable hits the market.

I run 4.1gr with a 125gr Coated and 4.4gr with 124 plated
