  1. I’ll have to look when I get home but I think I was a touch over 1300fps with a 6” barrel and 16.5gr h110
  2. i made 1/2" spacers and a thigh pad for my IDPA holsters and I've made it through equipment check at 2 Level IV matches. They questioned it and got the MD involved but he said it was good to go.
  3. I had to get to about 114pf to get a good accurate load that was consistent. 124gr FMJ and 3.6gr Sport Pistol out of a glock 19.
  4. Recently picked up an Akai 38sc from a member in our gun club. It came with 30lbs of 3n37. I have 115 and 124 MG projectiles to use. I also have some 3n38 and HS6 on hand. Is it even worth using the 3n37 when I have 2 other potentially better powders?
  5. I have seen remington 1 1/2's bump up velocity over 20fps over the years with 9mm minor loads. Multiple different batches. Also, depends on the powder too. When loading 357 mag, when using 2400, I get higher more consistent velocities using standard SPP rather than with magnum SPP
  6. I’ve never cleaned a 2011 mag during a match. Never cleaned any mag during a match. Maybe I’m just lucky
  7. Update: Made MA in SSP and CCP this year both with match bumps. made Master in Production USPSA this year as well.
  8. just following up on this. I had to bump by load up to 3.6gr. The gun was functioning and cycling the 3.4gr load fine but I was getting some super inconsistent burns. Probably had 20% that were really low. Like 400fps.. I bumped up to 3.6gr and have gone through 4-500 round with zero issues. Same brick of primers, same bottle of powder...
  9. I've shot them a ton in other 1911 platforms. 18lb spring is what I use too. Zero issues. good primers
  10. you can install the factory trigger shoe on the GPT. Good to go! Feels much better too.
  11. I’ve been playing with a load for ccp with my Gen 5 G19. 124gr FMJ 3.4ft sport pistol 1.115 is 110pf and really soft. Ejects and locks back 13lb recoil and 4.5 striker.
  12. I was going to mill that slot in my slide but just modified my mags. Might still stick it in the lathe and try it. Mine has no slot at all.
  13. My gun doesn’t have that notch milled out in the slide. Yours must be a newer model? Basically right where your arrow is pointed.
  14. I got the same email about my mag catch. "Some confusion between departments"
  15. I build racing engines and we have to modify every single part. No matter how high end the part is. I'm just assume I am going to have to do it on gun stuff too.
  16. Sorry I am just now seeing this. Yeah I just did a little at a time until it cleared. I've got probably 1,000 rounds on it now and zero issues. Working like a champ. I can't get it to mess up if I want to.
  17. I use 125 BBI 3.8gr sport pistol 1.100” 134pf. both my rivals shoot lights out. It’s really amazing how accurate they are. this same load is ridiculously accurate in my gen 5 17 and shadow 2 as well.
  18. Just modify the top lips of the mags. That’s what I did. Problem solved. I filed, polished, reblued. You would never even tell by looking at them.
  19. Spoke with canik on the phone today. I’ve had a warranty claim for a replacement mag release since June 14th. He said there was some confusion amongst the different divisions within canik and they are trying to get it all sorted before they start shipping mag releases to the customers. he was very interested in how I had already remedied the issue with my gun. Kind of like they were still researching the actual “fix”
  20. I sent canik an email and they are sending me a new mag release. I’ve already modified all my mags so I don’t have the issue anymore but it will be good to have the updated part.
  21. S2 with empty mag is 46oz. I don’t like anything heavier than that. tried brass grips and took them off after 1 match.
  22. I wound up making a box and it fits by a good bit
  23. i just volunteered to help out and next thing you know I was the MD. not sure how I got here.......
