  1. If you read up a page or two in this thread Dillon explains how to adjust it to cure that problem. He did it for my machine as well.
  2. I am not sure I understand, as the mags in my CZ75b drop free and I have no problem with them? You might want to contact Angus Hobdell www.ghostholster.com about your question though.
  3. I use both the 9mm and 125JHP 38 super in my 9mm CZ and both work well. :-) Close enough that I really can't see a difference.
  4. Hey Lily! Long time no hear....now if we can just get both you and Lorrie in town for Area 2!!!! Can't wait to see you guys again. Heard you made 'B' class. Way to go!
  5. and those Arizonans really like guns!!!! Gee not sure why you would say that??? Hmmm first weekend of the month is a Cactus match, second/third/fourth weekends are matches out at Rio and the third weekend at Rio is matches on BOTH Saturday and Sunday. There is every Tuesday night at Rio and every Thursday at both Cactus and Phoenix Rod and Gun. Did I mention the Wednesday night matches at the Scottsdale Gun Club? .....Gee there just isn't enough matches in this town....Made you jealous yet? Gotta love the Valley of the Sun! Come shoot with us!
  6. Just got back from the ladies camp and Lorrie is an incredible shooter! Watch out she is coming home with some great skills! Ladies, if you have not had a chance to make it to one of Kay's camps GO!!!! I cannot tell you how valuable this has been and how much fun we had. Hmmmm there are pictures floating around of Jerry M in a hula skirt The camp was great and the ladies were even more fun. I can't wait for the next one in Tucson before Area 2.
  7. Great match...Debbie Ferns did an awesome job and there was not a single PINK PRINCESS Stage. We really want to thank Mel, Salim and her whole crew for just a fun match. Being handed a Smith and Wesson range bag with ear muffs and glasses in it as you checked in was really nice as well. I had the job of keeping Deb in line at the Shot Show as she was on the hunt for prizes and I have to tell you, vendors were throwing stuff at her to make her go away..Just KIDDING DEB! You know I was in awe of your sales skills there. I had trouble with one stage where a popper wouldn't fall but the re-shoot made up for the fact that I dumped two mags at the same time and would have run dry. There is a stage fairy looking out for us! Don't remember all the winners but the local Rio folks were well represented in the bunch we were happy to see. All and all it was a great time by all on and off the range...hmmmmm you can ask Steve Redies 'aka the Love Dog" about all his ladies!!! He brought two to the match and came home with three.... :-) Thats why we love him! We had a great squad which included Rochelle Canfield from American Handgunner who shot her first match ever and did really well. She was very proud of herself for the fact that she didn't embarrass herself OR shoot an RO..What a girl! It was also really nice to see the number of women shooters out there. We were very well represented at all levels of shooters which made the match even more fun. One of the best parts was the $5 DVD that you could purchase so hopefully some of the pics will be posted here in the coming weeks once we get them. It was a great match and I will definitely be there next year.
  8. Sorry for those with Phoenix envy. We lost our sunshine and are looking at partly cloudy and maybe a little rain this weekend....but it should be in the 80s by next week again :-) Have fun!

    Day By Day

I shot a stage that ended in a seated position and ended up with a hot piece of brass down my tank top. As soon as I was holstered I stepped back and pulled my shirt down to get the brass out because it was HOT and I knew I had a pretty bad burn. When the guys saw the burns on my chest they all asked me why I didn't stop to avoid that kind of burn....my response..."I wasn't done shooting the stage yet!" So....NOT all of us will drop a gun to get hot brass out!!!
  10. Here in Phoenix they do have them hung on the pegboard. I think that is pretty funny actually but you are able to see a huge selection right in front of you that way.
  11. When I bought my first CZ from Angus Hobdell (Ghostholster.com) he actually recommended that I use the 38 super out of my 9mm for a more accurate load. I haven't seen any issue and that is all I load with now is the 125gr JHP in the 38 super.
  12. RWMagnus....I experienced the exact same problems that you seemed to be having. After I got thru the first 'oh shit' moment when I saw the directions I got it together and promptly hated the case feeder. The bounce back of the brass was causing me to throw away too many rounds due to smashed primers. It turned out to be a simple adjustment of the cam. Also Gary at Dillon replaced my EGW die with a new Dillon die and also tighted my shellplate. He said all 3 were causing the issues that I was experiencing. He is "Dillon" on this site if you want to give him a holler and is great to work with. I am lucky enough to be local to Dillon so I just brought my machine in and had them do all the tweaks on it and now LOVE my casefeeder. Don't sweat it out...call and they can fix it easily.
  13. Ok I know my blonde roots are showing now but...... Three women go down to Mexico one night to celebrate college graduation, get drunk, and wake up in jail, only to find that they are to be executed in the morning, though none of them can remember what they did the night before. The first one, a redhead, is strapped in the electric chair, and is asked if she has any last words. She ! says, I just graduated from a Catholic Seminary and believe in the almighty power of God to intervene on the behalf of the innocent." They throw the switch and nothing happens. They all immediately fall to the floor on their knees; beg for her forgiveness, and release her. The second one, a brunette, is strapped in and gives her last words, "I just graduated from the Harvard School of Law, and I believe in the power of justice to intervene on the part of the innocent." They throw the switch and, again, nothing happens. Again, they all immediately fall to their knees; beg for her forgiveness, and release her. The last one, a blonde, is strapped in and says, "Well, I'm from the University of Louisville and just graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and I'll tell ya right now, y'all ain't gonna electrocute nobody until you plug this thing in."
  14. It is a great match and you will all have to come out and visit us to understand why we live and shoot in Arizona! Cool in the morning but tshirt weather by the afternoon in mid November. What more can you ask for....oh did we mention 11 killer stages and a great prize table? You get to see some of the best around shoot the match as well.....Just make sure you get that app in by the deadline or make sure Barb has chocolate :-)
  15. I use the blade tech dropped for both my cz75 and sp01 and the crspeed mag pouches.....both are great.
  16. This is what happens when all the boys come out to play! Welcome Rabbi, from the female side of the house.....those of us that would NEVER accessorize with a lampshade WITH RUFFLES.....that is sooooo last season in lampshade style!
  17. Ok Ian, I think I see the problem....quit CRASHING the damn things :-) That is one of the things I love about Arizona in that we can ride all year round. But my shooting is definitely limiting my riding time!
  18. I always hated using a timer during dry fire because it always seemed to throw me off pushing the button for myself. Ok so I am not the most coordinated in the world..... A great thing I found was the dryfire drills on Matt Burketts web page www.mattburkett.com. He has all sorts of targets, moving and stationary with timers on them where you can adjust the par time etc. As long as you don't mind dry firing at your computer it is a great way to practice! Though I have to admit the buzzers drive my dogs nuts! Anyone else use these to practice?
  19. The rain was wonderful but did it need to snow in CaveCreek? :-) Arizona drivers don't know what to do with weather other than sit and stare at it through their windows!
  20. Congrats on the win! Bikes and guns....my two favorite things in the world Mine is a Harley Low Rider...
  21. Well.....I am a major flirt as all the guys at Rio can tell you but there is an Irish temper that goes with that red hair!
  22. This question coming from the person whose pic is a kid sticking a knife in a light socket????? Well......mine is cause I'm a firm believer that eyes don't lie! If I put a pic of a sexy young thing up there some of you would have a great chuckle.....this one below is more me. Hope you find out the answers to your quest!
