  1. Funny, you know I have had that 650 off my bench since then. I was just about to build a new table to hold it and the 1050's if I change my mind I'll let you know. In my minds eye I saw the brass look just like that picture, but I never could find it. I also found that there was a sharp burr on the ejector which I think aided in the problem. I just want to point out again to never cover the ejection port when you rack the slide, it might never happen to you but why take the chance.
  2. Yep, Matt Cheely built it. It is built on a standard STI frame, 6 inch slide with some serious lightening, 6 inch sight tracker .355 barrel chambered in 9mm with some serious lightening, EGW hammer, Brazos micro dot front sight, etc. The important thing is, it balances better than anything I have ever shot or handled. My favorite minor load is with a 124 MG JHP and I have started to use a 95 gr JHP for a steel load. As soon as anybody picks it up and handles it they start looking for the missing weight.
  3. This is my dream gun for steel, iron sights. 6 inch 9mm sight tracker that is lighter than any 5 inch gun I have ever had. It weighs 36 ounces as pictured.
  4. Oh yeah, notice I didn't say the one I use but the one in town. I go to the next town north of me.
  5. It is not so much the cost incurred as it is that they lost their profit on a sale of one of their guns. They figure if you want to shop on line and find the lowest price, they will make it up in the FFL transfer. The local shop here charges $60 a pop also.
  6. I think that front sight even had how he mods his Cmore to avoid the thumb issue. I am about to take a sanding wheel to one of my older cmores and see how that works.
  7. I'm shooting 95's right now. They go about 1200 FPS for limited and 1375 for my open gun.
  8. My wife has the same issues alot. The pump does help though.
  9. Man, every time I see Ken's modified gun it makes me want one in 9mm.
  10. I got my extensions from Speed Shooter Specialtiesquick shipping and good selection.
  11. OK, lets see a picture of this please.
  12. Also, don't let a tube lay down flat that has primers in it. I just toss the brass and the primer, the risk for me is not worth the 7 cents I save.
  13. For steel challenge you only need 25 rounds per stage( if you don't miss) so the heat should not be a factor. I don't think TG gets all that hot with minor loads anyway.
  14. How about an open division optic? I have a Meopta, but have been told I might need more magnification for open. For my local matches I can use a 9mm AR with a cmore( we can only get about 60 yards here) I would like to do some bigger matches this year, so I'm shopping for a new optic.
  15. Kenny at Speed Shooter Specialties has them in stock. My link did not work, but he is in the dealer section.
  16. There is also the saving the wear and tear on your elbow to consider. After an hour of hand cranking on the 1050 or 650 my tennis elbow hurts for a week. With this there is no pain to reloading. Well, other than the cost of components.
  17. OK, there are only a couple of things someone could do. They could locate your service provider and they could possibly find your physical location, but service providers only give this information out if they have a court order. Someone could overload your computer with data since your IP address is just a place to send the information, they still will not know where you are. There is no way to keep your address hidden since every website you visit needs this info to know where to send the data. Also, every email you send out has your IP address in the header information. The tech people I work with tell me to not worry about it and to keep my anti virus up to date.
  18. That gun has become my favorite open gun to shoot. I am thinking about having a duplicate made as a back up gun.
  19. Like there are not real crimes going on everyday that affect our lives more that these 250 agents could have been working on.
  20. I am, a center hold on all targets gets me a good hit. I set up some plates at the different distances, painted them and check the POI for the different distances. With the 35 yard zero it is not far off at any distance in SC.
  21. I zeroed mine for the longest shot in the set of stages. Without looking them up, I think it is 35 yards.
  22. Yep and if that doesn't work try a 20 gauge
  23. Phil, I told you at the match what the problem was....eat more so the gun does not push you around.
  24. alright, I see a new 9mm single stack in my future.
