  1. I found that to be the most insulting part of the movie. I can usually forgive the creative license hollywood takes with its movies but that was waaaaaaay over the top for me.
  2. I would have to say No, its not worth it. I tried it and for the money you can get a lot more bang for you buck with other set-ups. It was pretty cool though, the LaRue mount is slick, but not the ideal set up for your listed needs.
  3. So after all the mumbo jumbo, is there an answer to How to alter them???????
  4. The year is rolling on by and I cant find any info on this other than a rumor I heard at the FN tournament. Anybody know if it will take place this year?
  5. Order a new M2 w/comfortech stock and sell your PG stocked Tactical. Thats what I did and did not loose more than the stock would cost you.
  6. Charles, The maker is PPU in Serbia, Primer is boxer type and fully re-loadable, Non-corrosive, 75 gr Boat tail hollow point. I compared this ammo in my white oak bbl AR side by side with Black hills 75 gr match hollow point ammo. The BH was averaging .43 inch groups at 100 and the PRVI was at .53, I was very impressed with the PRVI and had no function issues. By my calculations at todays prices it is about $100.00 cheaper than BH per thousand.
  7. I do not have the true choke brand, but I have a thin wall choke system installed in my mossberg 590. It was done by Briley about 1 1/2 yrs ago in my Hvy-Mtl shotgun cause cylynder bore sucked for that sport. The bbl thickness was not enough for std chokes and briley's solution was the thin wall. They are thin indeed and I had questioned wheather they would hold up. I have had no issues at all and would recomend thin wall for bbls that need it.
  8. I tried both the amber and red triangle and, like others have mentioned the amber washes out on brown paper. I found the red to be a better choice for our sport. I did not however care for the 1.25 setting. I find a true 1 power to be less distracting, and wider field of view important enough to be worth looking at other choices.
  9. This was a great match. I am looking forward to next year. A big thank you to Ken and all the match staff. The R.O.'s were all fantastic, worked hard and treated everyone fairly. The prize table was incredible, but i too don't care for the hidden grab bag, take your chances on what you get format. Mostly because its a bummer to get something you have or dont need when something else may have been more desirable. Regardless of worth, If it is something I really need I would choose it over something more expensive. My biggest suggestion for next year comes from my stomach. Why no food offering on Sunday???I would like to have known in advance so i could have brought something with me. It was shear torture watching Kurt eat that subway sub. This match also re-inforced my eirlier opinion that Missouri has more ticks per square inch than anyplace else on the planet.

    Wii

And I have never even played it. We got a Wii and the Guitar Hero game for my son (10) and daughter(8) as a reward for doing very well in FCAT testing. Watching them jam to Foghat,KISS,Pat Benatar, The Who, The Rolling Stones etc. is incredible. I never thought my kids would enjoy the same music I grew up with. My son actually said last night "Dad, this music is awsome".
  11. I got one for my wife, now it looks like I may have to look at it myself. If I can get her off it that is. After watching her it looks promising as a tool to fine tune a few things, balance and cardio bieng two big ones. Also liked the way it keeps track of specifics about each user, like weight etc. Now if Wii would only come out with an IPSC game that included standards and classifier courses-------
  12. I just noticed the stages are posted on the website for this match. www.midwest3gun.com
  13. No i do not think they do. They only make magazines in 38/9 and in .40, the frame for their hi-cap was actually designed around the 38/9mm cartridge. Magazines in .45 would only hold 10-12 rounds.
  14. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...l=Benelli+front Try this link for my rear sight fix. So simple and it really works.
  15. Anybody compare the 1100 20 ga loading port to an M2? Are they the same size? I tried a shooters 1100 recently and found the loading port smaller than my thumb, which to say the least was a bummer. Loading it fast will be very hard for me. Not to mention the tip of my thumb was sore after only a few rounds.
  16. My kids grade school participates in the Presidents challenge physical fitness program. At last nights end of year awards program for honor roll etc. my son Dalton recieved the "Presidential physical fittness" award. He was one of only six in his grade level (4th). Man was I proud of him, he is quite an athlete. The coach said nationally the number who recieves this award is incredibly low (he said the percentage but I dont remember it). He plays baseball and football on local leauges and many of his classmates play with him, he was the only one to get this award in his group of fellow athletes. Did I mention how proud of him I am???
  17. I was undecided as to weather I thought it a good movie right up untill the end. Mostly because of the alien/area 51 influence. I wasn't sure which way they were going with it. Then the spaceship comes out. That killed it for me. Kinda Indiana Jones meets X-Files. Thats an oil and vinager mix to me.
  18. My wife and I went to Hawaii 2 yrs ago for our Anniversary. Stayed on the Big Island and Island hopped a little. Seeing lava flowing in person was a moving experiance for me. But the absolute best thing we did was hop to Molokai for an overnighter and took the mule ride down the tallest sea cliffs in the world to the famous leper colony. It was absolutely amazing. While down there you get an incredible view of some of the same terain that was filmed for one of the Jerasic park movies. And no, there is no danger of contracting Hansens disease (lepracy) by going there, there are still cases of it that are treated around the world.
  19. If she gets suspended for a day, have a day out with her and enjoy yourselves. Life is too short and making the best (for her) of it is all we can do when faced with school systems that reward bullies and punish those who stand up for themselves. It is obvious she is being tought honor, and whats right, by those of you at home. Bravo to you and your daughter.
  20. I have two and both have been defect free for two years. I did break one by dropping it on the top turret with 9 lbs of AR15 attached to it. Even though I admitted it was my fault they repaired it free of charge. it still worked by the way, I just couldn'y get the cap off. They will take care of your problem.
  21. Direct quote from my Ruger 10/22 manual dated 9/99: page 14, line #8 8. With the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, push the safety to the "off" position and pull the trigger to decock it. The rifle can be "dry fired" for practice as long as it is empty and pointed in a safe direction.
  22. I have not handled the older model mags or black ones. Mine are a matte silver color and have a cast base pad (also silver) that basepad was a real frustration to remove in order to install the EGW basepads. The welds at the seam are very inconsistant also. One had a slight bend at the nose that would catch a bullet after a couple of rounds. two seconds with the pliers fixed it and all have worked perfectly otherwise. Brownells sent me a .40 caspian mag by accident when I ordered the 9mm mags. The .40 mag and basepad is a thing of beauty. Highly polished with a basepad that was very secure yet easily removed. I would be surprised if they were made by the same supplier. I hope Caspian will model future 9mm mags after the current .40.
  23. I have one on my primary game gun. I like it for no other reason than it seems like the most bomb proof of the carbon fiber varieties. I also have a DPMS carbon fiber and had a clark (they seem prety much the same) I also have a YH aluminum on my back up gun. Both guns are 18" with adj gas and light carriers and there is a difference in heat buildup. The PRI seldom feels hot to the touch, the YH sometimes gets very hot. I have heard others claim the carbon fiber gets hot also but that has not been my experiance.
  24. For me the capacity issue was not as important as what fit me. Tried the Para (Grip to big and blocky) Tried a SIG x-5 (wouldn,t run reliably) Tried an XD, M&P and Glock (to Light, and one pointed funny) Tried a friends STI and did not like the feel (something kept hurting my thumb, a grinder might have helped) and it felt big as well. Then I held a Caspian High cap at Ft Benning last year, I knew that was what I needed. I built mine myself and could only be happier if they would make 9mm mags to the level of their .40 cal mags. And as far as grip tape bieng cheesy, well i love cheese. I like it just fine, its replacable and available in different grits. Most secure grip ive found was with grip tape.
  25. I did not vote as "Kettle Corn" was not an option (or was that what Old fasion was supposed to be). For me all other popcorn is boring. My wife loves to go to the local street fair(s) when organized. The Kettle corn is the only thing that makes them tollerable.
