Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Can someone post a pic of what the bet down lifter looks like, I'm trying to figure out where exactly to bend it as I'm having the same problem with my welded lifter. Thanks, Bill
  2. The last few times I've been reloading on my 1050 I've had primer issues. Up until recently it has worked flawlessly. Tonight I started loading and in my first 100 rounds I had quite a few bad primers, smeared if you will like they are catching an edge. I put them all in a plastic case holder and low and behold all the problems are with Federal NT 40 S&W cases. Upon closer inspection it's almost like the primers are crimped but it's really hard to tell. I adjusted my decrimping station down and instead of a 30% problem it's cut down to 10%. It seems I'll have to seperate them out and adjust the decrimper for this brass only and run them all through at once. Anyone else having this problem with this particular brass? Bill
  3. I tried shooting some laser cast lead bullets out of my 300 whisper and they didn't feed very well at all. The bullets were to soft for using in a semi auto and the bullets would get quite scared up. If you were shooting single shot style they work just fine. Shooting jacketed bullets out of mine has not ever been a problem with feeding. Bill
  4. I also have an EGW 4 caliber case gage and my 40 S&W rounds won't fit all the way in whether I'm using Precisions or Montana Golds. I just figured it was cut to short because if I try to force a lead bullet in I can see where the gage marks the bullet. All of my rounds will fit with the primer end in even though the bullet end won't seat all the way. And with this gage it's only this way on 40, 9mm and 45 both work just fine. Bill
  5. Hi, I'll be shooting this match next weekend and was wondering if there were any updates? Bill
  6. Its on....you're in Squad 6 along with Yong Lee. Its going to be HOT this weekend! Thank you very much for info. Bill
  7. I haven't heard anything about this lately and I sent in my match fees, is it still a go? Bill
  8. I read the title to this thread and got all excited, I guess I'll just have to put the breaks on my excitement until October. Bill
  9. Are you giving up on open and moving to limited now? Bill
  10. The part that I don't understand is how the whole stack goes off if it happens while the new primer is going in. After all it isn't in line with the stack and is in it's own "compartment" I have a 1050 and have read the posts about it happening although I just can't see how it does. And I'm hoping I never find out how it does either. Bill
  11. Powder Valley is showing Federal small magnum pistol in stock. Bill
  12. I've been shooting USPSA for a little over a year now. Before that I did a little bit of bullseye shooting but not much, I only did it because I liked to shoot and it was the only thing going on in my area that I knew of. I'd seen USPSA and 3 gun on TV but never knew where or how to get involved. One day surfing the internet I found a club in my area with a beginners match and decided to go. I had a 1911 with 5 8 round mags but I only had mag holders for 2 of them and a not so good holster. The match was 6 stages and on the last stage there was a Texas Star. Now to say I was worried about what would happen when I got to the star was an under statement since out of the 20 people shooting the match I was in 20th place. Well long story short I cleared the star with 6 shots, the only highlight of my day and I still came in 20th. I'll bet you can guess what my favorite steel target is to this day a little over a year later. The star didn't drive away this shooter and when I get a chance to shoot the Evil Star I welcome it. Bill
  13. Craig, I'm not switching to open, at least not yet. I just want a bi pod for sighting in purposes. Bill
  14. Like the title says, which bipod do you guys feel works the best? Thanks, Bill
  15. Great guy to do business with. Thanks Bill!!
