  1. it's cut just like the stock one but extended. I can flip it. I went ahead and ordered one along with a high power striker spring. I reload with a buddy and we just received 10,000 CCI primers , I have the Apex forward set sear flat faced trigger kit in mine and have experienced some light primer hits using Winchester primers. I understand CCi are harder than the Winchester, so ..........................might as well grab one
  2. I decided I'm going to give carry optics a try for my next match and went to the site to order some extended base pads and saw this Extended mag release I wonder if it's ambidextrous(I'm left handed) and if they are reliable. anyone here got these on their M&P?

    Shadow 2 Safeties

it sure is I clicked mine on mid stage last week during a match. I thought I had a squib or some kind of jam. Luckily the RO that was standing next to me also shoots a shadow 2 and yelled "Check your Safety!". I had pushed it up during a reload I may take the extended one off and go back to the flush one, I rarely use it.
  5. Oh ya , me and my shooting bud are reloading 135's and 145's now
  6. ran my second USPSA match today.............and D'Q'd LOl! oh well better to get it over with, got to stage 4 of 6 (the classifier unfortunately) and stepped into the start box. I drew my CZ and started lining up my first shots and heard "STOP!" I drew before the RO said "make ready" .....DOH!!! Ironically one stage later the RO that Dq'd me DQ'd as well. He was shooting an STI and forgot to put the safety on. As he drew for his first shot he fired a shot right into the dirt 5 feet in front of him.......................................Done oh well a day of lessons learned
  7. Aquila 124 and S&b 124 were the two loads I was using the most before we started reloading. . now we're going back and forth between the ACME 135's and 145's. both shoot well and we've had no issues with them yet.
  8. I use the 13# with the extended firing pin. been shooting Acme 135 lipstick rounds using win 231 powder and Winchester primers. No problems of yet.
  9. ^ this , we made 1000 rounds of Acme 135 with 3.6gr of winchester 231 cam in at at PF of 133 and shot a steel challenge today. very nice, no issues , soft kick and spot on. I hosed my first 2 stages but the last 3 I did pretty well.
  10. I believe I may have one , I'll take a look tonight , where are you located?

      Thanks for checking!

  11. ^ this I have a Shadow2 and an M&P 9l performance Center with a shield mini sight on it. Equipment wise I am all set. I'm a pretty accurate shooter (I don't like to waste shots) I've gotten smoked at my first 2 USPSA matches and the Walls of Steel match I participated in last weekend. It doesn't bother me because I'm just starting out but it's been very eye opening. thank god it's so much fun otherwise I may be looking at getting into bowling of something LOL! Go with what you've got and get your feet wet, you'll have a blast
  12. and they lock up the slide on my S2 40 rounds fired 5 jams where I couldn't even get the slide to move What a shame as the ones that did fire were nice and soft and accurate as all get out. Luckily my M&P 9L is not being as finicky
  13. we're using the Acme "Lipstick" rounds now for these 145's and 135's we're loading. Very interested to see what they leave behind in my gun and my magazines
  14. I'm working with a buddy of mine doing some experimenting now he got in some 145 and 135 rounds this past week and we loaded them with win 231 and went from 3.2 grains up to 3.7 The 145's with 3.2 felt like .22's, if they make a PF of 130 ....that's my round. the 135's with 3.5 were also very nice. We didn't Chrono them yet , but I've gotten some rounds from JJrAmmo in CT recently and shot a couple of matches with them. he rolled me 147's that went at 890FPS with a 130 PF. I love em! if we can reproduce what he made for me ,we'll make a few thousand rounds of them. We've got a lot of the 135 bullets so we may focus on those first. 3.5-3.7gr of the 231 felt great , we need to check PF on them though. (we're using these red rounds , he calls them "lipstick rounds") Now that I'm getting used to using "tuned rounds" the stuff off the shelf feels super hot to me (I usually shoot S&B 124)
  15. anyone use Hornady XTP 147gr bullets for their rounds? any plus/minus to these? I did a site search but most hornady searches come up with reloading "gear" My buddy just made a couple 100 rounds of these and I'm curious as whether these are considered "premium" bullet heads or not
  16. yes I have Performance center 9L. I swapped out the barrel for a kkm non ported and now I can use it in Carry Optics.
  17. I shot a "walls of steel" match this weekend and used some tuned 124 instead of 47 and found that 124 did kick a little bit more but didn't notice a huge difference. I did notice that I am better with fast follow ups (double tap) with 147 but I could go with either one and just train with it Off the shelve ammo is a different story all together though, when comparing S&B 124 vs AE 147 the difference is substantial
  18. yup that's what the RO told me as well. I'm new to this game so trying to suck in as much "good advice" as possible. I'm so focused on actually hitting my targets, that I'm not thinking about the clock as much as I should be.
  19. Just started this month (just joined USPSA and shot my first matches) but for the next 4 months schedules I have minimum 2-4 a month. if personal time allows I can easily shoot 2 a week for the next few months.
  20. I had a blast but I also learned quite a bit about my shooting when a timer is going. #1 I'm pretty accurate, I don't waste a lot of shots, each stage had 25 plates , I don't think I shot more than 32 rounds in any stage except for one that I tanked and shot 43 My buddy videoed me and I him so we could watch ourselves. # 2 I am slow as hell....no wonder I don't waste shots. I didn't feel like I was going that slow until i saw myself Oh and the other people in my squad were smoking me for the most part. (most of them, a couple I did beat) #3 I lose a lot of time reloading. production rules for this match 10 round mags. I probably lost 2 -3 seconds per reload. Unacceptable on the clock. Need to work on that. I was told I wait for the plate to fall before moving on to the next one by the RO that stayed with our squad stage to stage. I'll have to work on that as well.
  21. please do , that's exactly what I am planning the 6 moa venom. I hope they lighten it enough to make carry Optics down here. If they don't I may have to pass on it hopefully theylls sell just the slides so I can use the same lower all the time. (dreaming)
  22. ^^^ this oh please. I could ditch my M&P 9L and just shoot shadow 2's in Production or CO whichever mood strikes me
  23. you've got an optics ready Shadow 2? is this one of the new ones or did you have one milled? pics please??
  24. red hill tactical Lok grips VZ grips both are great
