  1. Me and my buddy shot them for a bit , but we've switched to Ibejiheads 147 flat nosed. Zero issues and very accurate we just bought 10,000 rounds that we're going to split. the Ame's were good but 145 was not awe inspiring or anything. Kind of like 135 was ......meh not terrible but nothing special

    No found it privately

    CZC multi optic cut

And I just found an S2 complete slide and it is on it's way to CZC

    CZC multi optic cut

I'm so close to doing the same thing, but I think I will buy a 2nd Shadow 2 so i can still shoot Production if I like
  5. hmmm I have been using my S2 in production and recently switched to my M&P 9L for the same reason ..Carry Optics. I found my draw faster but my accuracy was noticeably worse. I find the heavier weight makes it a bit easier to stay on target for my quick double taps. Even with the Apex flat faced trigger sear set (which allows for very fast follow ups) . I switched back to my S2 this past Sunday , just shooting drills with silhouettes and I was a little bit slower but many more "Alphas" on my 2nd shots. At some point I am getting a 2nd S2 and having it milled at CZC so I can stay on the same platform for Production or CO Also I'm 6 foot 215 and a big weight lifter , so the weight may seem like less of an issue to me than to someone of more "slight" stature
  6. couldn't you just got SAO on the trigger and get a compensator on this? flared magwell and mag extensions and you're there. I'm thinking of buying a 2nd shadow 2 and having CZC do this job on it as well. If I feel I'm getting good enough to go against the "open" guys I'll just soup this one up to start with.
  7. I've been running my shadow 2 in Production and having a blast. I've got a Performance Center M&P 9L with a shield mini sight on it, and the Apex flat faced trigger forward set sear kit on it. It had been sitting idle until a couple of weeks ago when i decided I may want to give this a go in Carry optics. I shot a match today , moved up 5 places from my last match and shaved off an entire minute from my total time. Now I'm beginning to see why so many people shoot open. This was a blast, if the Carry Optics version of the Shadow 2 makes CO weight I will definitely pick one up , as I do like shooting my Shadow 2 more than the M&P. I prefer shooting all Steel guns over polymer and the Shadow 2 with an optic would be a great CO gun. I don't have the funds to go all out open right now and I'm still way to slow so I'll stick with CO for a while
  8. ^ this , my Performance Center 9L dos it almost everytime , I just have to slap in the mag "just right" and it goes. I love it, my shadow 2 does it as well but not quite as easily as my 9L does
  9. me and my buddy have switched to ibejiheads 147 flat nosed. With 3.4 of W231 we make 130 and above PF and they shoot nice and accurate. RMR's were the fav's but no one seems to have the 147 flat heads anymore
  10. I actually flipped it back over so it's on the left side now. it was snagging on the feed ramp of my mags and locking up consistently with 4 rounds to go. It was driving me nuts trying to figure what was going on, I thought it was the striker spring.......nope. I did some searching and this guy was having the exact same issue I was , so I flipped back for a righty and now It's all working great. I may file it down like this guy did at some point as I'd rather have it on the right side. M&P Failure to feed
  11. mystery solved. I got an extended mag release from Speed shooters and flipped it (being a lefty) this is exactly what I was seeing. i just flipped it back to it's on the left side and problem solved (for nowI want it on the right side I'll have to grind this piece down a bit) gotta love the internet
  12. I have tried several different off the shelf rounds (S&B, Aguila, American Eagle, Lawman) I might have a couple of bad mags as my stock 10 rounders (6 of them) all work with no issues. the 3 17 rounders I have I bought from a store out of state a while back. they 3 of them may have been from a bad batch of Mags? I don't know will test more tonight with the new firing pin assembly in there. Hopefully that will help
  13. factory followers. I received a new firing pin assembly from speed shooters on Saturday I threw it in last night as I was at the range yesterday and still saw the same problem, even with a 17 rounder I have not modified yet. I'm beginning to wonder if these 3 mags are dogs as I got them all at the same time from the same shop will test more tonight.
  14. I ve been getting light hits wit my M&P as well (I also have the flat faced trigger "kit" in mine) same ammo does fine in my CZ shadow2 and my buddy's Target II so I ordered the extra power striker spring (it's one pound heavier than stock) from speed shooter specialties. it's coming today, I'll drop it in and hopefully that will take care of that. striker spring **** update*** I've shot about 600 rounds with the extra power spring in there and had only 2 light hits. I also ordered a complete striker assembly as a back up. having more problems with my Precision mas extensions now than light hits
  15. I just recieved a couple of these and I finally got to try them out today at the range. When loaded up (23 ronds ) without fail when I have 4 rounds left , the round doesn't feed all the way and my gun jams. It happened with both of the mags I put these on today and it happened like clockwork , 4 rounds left? jam. Do these new springs need to break in or something. Very disappointed and they are not cheap either. I have a Steel match coming up on the 24th and I was going to use them. Now I can't trust them and feel like going back to 17 rounds. anyone else have these?
  16. A buggy of mine just sent me pics of his SA converted to SAO, He's using it for steel challenges only. uses an Accushadow for Production USPSA matches. It got me thinking about maybe trying it with mine as well who's done this here and how did it go? better /not worth it/ problem free?
  17. I flipped it over , it works great, ambi would normally mean both sides, but it's only one side at a time.
  18. I love the weight, the gun is so easy to keep on target. Weak hand is a bit more work but besides that ....all good
  19. well the extra power striker spring wouldn't let the slide seat back correctly, so out it goes. anyone have any other suggestion on how to fix light primer hits ? ***edit*** whoops had the little plastic retainer clip on upside down. I hope that was the problem cycling snap caps right now ....seems to be better *** edit** shot about 200 rounds through it last night. Used Magtech 124, AE 147, and a bunch of our own loads (all 147) light hits basically gone and the gun cycled well (for the most part , I had a mag issue) but the HP spring seems to be working now.
  20. just installed in mine as well as the extra power striker spring. hitting the range later tonight to test it with some new 147's fresh off the Dillon hats off to speed shooter specialties. they ship really quick on the East coast.
  21. yes 9mm getting the last one in is tight but it gets in. I'm not clear what that little hex bolt is supposed to do? tighten it down when the mag is on? or back it out? I don't get it
  22. just put a couple of these on my M&P mags today and I can get 23 rounds into them right off the bat.
  23. I don't have the Apex striker spring I have the stock one as well as the stock Recoil spring in there. We rolled a couple of hundred today using titegroup(there's a first for us) Ibejihead 147 3.0 and 3.2 grains. I'm going to test tomorrow through my CZ shadow 2 and my M&P 9L fingers crossed as my buddy shot some of th e3.2 through his target II tonight and loved them.
  24. ^this , I just starting shooting USPSA I had previously taken a whole slew of 4 hour classes for conceal carry that involved drawing , mag changes, shooting while moving etc, but I opted to take a 2 day USPSA "training class" at the club near me that holds monthly matches. They went over all of the rules 'extensively" on day one and the morning of day 2. the afternoon of day 2 we ran a couple of stages. You would've been amazed how many people DQ'd while running those stage....even after having all of this stuff fresh in their minds. Fingers in the trigger guard was the number one reason. People get "too comfortable" and don't pay enough attention.
