  1. +2 for the Apex flat faced forward set sear kit. changed my Performance Center 9L from a "do I want to keep this"? gun to a "god I love this gun"
  2. I'm actually very pleased with where the trigger is right now, the only thing I want to lose is that takeup/creep in single action mode If I can get rid of that I am good to go
  3. I meant polishing in general not the disco itself, it's pretty buffed out as is , if It drops right in I won't do anything to it (S2 Disco) I mean the trigger bar etc
  4. I was just watching a video on polishing and when I do the disco I think I will do some polishing as well.
  5. didn't add the Disco yet , but I must say this thing ran like a champ last night at a USPSA practice session. The 11# main spring really made a difference with my trigger pull. Last night was the first time I shot at speed where my first shot was right on with my SA follow up shot
  6. S2 disco just arrived from Cajun. I don't have any files or a dremel what do you guys recommend in case I do have to fit it?
  7. a few people have stated the trigger feels "mushy" with the reduced power trigger spring
  8. I ran into a guy at the "walls of Steel" match this past weekend that had a Shadow 2 with the full competition kit in it, and he let me check it out. His trigger was a little bit nicer than mine and he said he did all of the work himself. So... I manned up and decided to see if I can do any of this stuff myself. I replaced the recoil spring with an 11# the hammer Spring with an 11.5#, put in extended firing pin , all relatively simple. I have an extended safety on mine and I noticed that I keep hitting it when I do mag changes and it locks me up, so I decided this needs to come off ( I don't really ever use it anyway) taking this off spooked me because of how small some of the parts are but it went smoothly , so I ordered an S2 disconnect and I'm going to drop that in this week as well. I know this is no big deal to you guys who work on these guns all the time but this is the first time I've really ventured down this road at this level, and I must say it's pretty gratifying . Even with the changes I made yesterday the trigger is noticeably better. I ran about 50 rounds of my homegrown 147s that use CCi primers and all went boom with no light hits. Yay! the little creep in the take up is what needs to go. I also have the reduced trigger spring but I keep reading mixed reviews on that so I 'm going to hold off on swapping that out yet.
  9. 5 to K? I think you're going to get some sludge build up at those numbers regardless of what you use. we use Winchester 231 it burns cleaner than Titegroup, but I think after 5000 rounds my shadow would be pretty filthy too.
  10. I have a Performance Center 9L with all Apex internals and a KKM non ported barrel, talon grips. I ran into a guy at the range that has a 2.0 and I let him shoot mine. the Flat faced forward set sear trigger package in mine smokes his trigger, and he cannot auto slide forward when inserting a mag. I love that ability (my CZ Shadow 2 does that as well) I'd just stick with what you have, you'd have to redo the 2.0 trigger to get it as good as an Apex
  11. Sweeeet!!! cool looking gun Congrats!!!! the orange bling looks killer
  12. Target II also comes with 11 pound recoil spring.
  13. put 300 rounds through mine tonight (warm up for the "Walls of Steel" match I have tomorrow. sight is on there nice and tight stayed zero'd....good to go
  14. just shot 200 rounds went with the 11 pounder, with our ammo shot super flat and little to zero nose dip
  15. I just took receipt of the 13 an d1 pound springs from cajun today. I'm using 147 Ibejiheads that come in right at 130 Pf, any one have preferences for these things or is it more of "gun by gun" specific type of thing? I got my 11 pound hammer spring now too, (13 is in there now) and extended firing pin etc. I want to tune this thing up a little more now that I got my CO slide back from CZC Disco is probably next
  16. the slide I just got back from CZC feels considerably lighter than my stock slide
  17. 6 with one of the stages (at least ) being a classifier. In June they ran an "all classifier" match , all 6 were classifier, that was different.
  18. some pics of mine stock slide on top Czc Milled slide underneath shield sight sits very low easy to co-witness without even trying, with stock front sight took me about 10 shots to zero in , once I started hitting the same hole, I figured good enough. At 35 feet
  19. got my slide back from CZC today, it feels considerably lighter than my stock S2 slide. I don't have an appropriate scale on hand to compare the 2, but I am curious as to how much they lightened it. got the jpoint/shield mini sight mounted and zero'd in. Going to use it tomorrow at a local USPSA practice session and "break in the slide" I'll post pics up tomorrow of both slides so people who are interested can see what CZC takes off and where they take it off.
  20. they wouldn't work for me either, so I switched to Ibejihead 147's , and after about 4000 between me and my shooting buddy we've had zero jams.
  21. what base pads did you decide on?
  22. CZ Custom shop did the work on mine. it's delivery date back to me is tomorrow so I will update with thoughts /pictures etc later this week. I'm going with the Shield mini sight (JPoint) I have one on my M&P 9L and really like it. It sits low, is very easy to pick up, and holds zero quite well.
  23. my Carry optics milled S2 slide is on it's way back from CZC. I already have the lighter hammer springs in there, and just ordered 11 and 13 pound recoil springs We load Ibejihead 147's CCi primers 3.4 grams win231 powrder, comes in right at 130PF. I've been using these with my M&P 9L because that has on optic on it but will be switching back to my Shadow 2 now, so i am going to be in full "tune" mode. disco may be up next
  24. Nice! that shoots real flat what ammo you using (PF?)
