  1. Do you think its possible that you read the requirements wrong with the pistole ? I can not think of any one that can hit 50% at 200 yards with a 9 mm iron sights handgun. my Ballistic program says you need 47" of hold over for a 9mm at 200 yards If you had a Custom handgun and you could shoot prone = thin thats doable I try-ed it at 160 yards on a 18X24 steel I did not hit but Carina hit it more than once, after she found her hold over.
  2. Well the American thin is to drink a Beer wile you -Golf , bowl, and Fish I certainly hope we do not end up with some attractive young girl in a golf cart providing cold Beer to us between stations
  3. If you put a cap full of Mineral spirits in the media the dust will stick to a dryer sheet = Dryer sheet like you use in the clothes dryer. - I am cheep and I save the old ones . I put four in the large Dillon Tumbler and throw them away after each tumble. they also Collete the carbon. I have never had a problem with "The Dust" in my dies . keep in mind you have to lube the 223 brass. I will Cleon my dies after 10,000 and before 20,000 rounds
  4. I run the 24" with a tube that sticks out past the barrel. I would have suggested to you to get the M2 over the M1 as there is some improvements in the M2 in the barrel chokes = longer. The CT stock is an improvement too. I think you would be fine with the 26" If you can get it at the cost savings you listed at $800. $1,100 -Was- the going price for a new M2 with a 24" or 21" with the CT stock. If you end up shooting it allot thin think about getting the 24" latter at the higher price. BUT get the mag extension Now
  5. This is a new tape form a Hurst county home invasion a 15 yr old boy used dads AR to defend his sister http://www.ktrh.com/pages/michaelberry.html?article=10688128
  6. This is a work of Fiction! No way you went to the grocery store and only spent $9.81
  7. It would be .... "nice surprise" if a new reticle was presented at the 2014 shot show
  8. - the focus adjust was a bit weird at first, i will admit. But read the directions on focusing the eye piece and it is very clear and a 1x power. it says to adjust the eye piece fast so your eye doesn't have time to adjust. * i have a tip- turn the adjustment a small amount and then look through the scope. better or worse, take your eye off of the glass and look and focus on something outside. adjust again and then look through the glass. better or worse, REPEAT. Strals09 hit it. and that part of look away or close your eye when setting it is correct. when you get the diopter / Ocular eye box set rite - put a marker witness mark on the scope. So that you can get it back to the sweat spot. one advantage the Razor has over the SwarO is the - ON /Off - and lock off so that the battery does not drain when the gun is in the case. I still have not replaced my original battery that came with my 1-6 back in July. The second advantage is the forgiving eye relief of the Vortex Razor. you can make a much fast mount with the Razor. The Draw back of the Razor to me is the Reticle = I want more information , and the 10" wide 600 yard mark can be hard to see in low light. My Score cards love the Reticle though= giving me good match placements in spite of my lacking skills.
  9. one more reason to hate me.
  10. My wife and I have to rewind prime time TV shows in order to understand what is be said almost every time we watch show. I think the worst one she likes to watch is "The Mentalist" we have even resorted to closed caption because of the mumbly mouth dialog.
  11. I used a 41 in STC for many years with an optic . the very first thing we do is cut off the rear sight hood. That lets you clear a jamb much faster and keeps most of them from starting. Check the top of the slide & bottom of the barrel , it must be slick. on some gun-barrel combinations the fit is too tight and the slide drags on the bottom of the barrel. The most common cause of a 41 jambing is the left thumb slowing the slide down. as the speed gets up the thumb drifts into the slide, but its so slick the shooter does not feel it. CCI are the best choice. I run the min-mag when I want faster transitions = the extra bump pushes the gun into the next target. I like the CCI standards for the 2" targets in the combo event. one of my 41s has shot in at least 15 STC nat & 9 SC world events - so it has a few rounds on it.
  12. OK this is now crazy http://www.ebay.com/itm/MAGPUL-PMAG-30-ROUND-P-MAG-30rd-Magazine-AR-15-223-5-56-556-NIP-2-/330849553404?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d082b8bfc
  13. Well yes the Vortex cost more the first time , But I think they say the same thing about the Dillon loaders
  14. a Mtac and a Vortex both get dropped off a table to the concrete floor. = What shooter is the most upset when that happens?
  15. I have both mounts and put my 1-6 on the 2" mounted to last notch in the upper. I just liked the way the 2" looked better balanced in it, and I don't put my nose on the charge handle so the ER worked fine. But 3" would be the most -versatile I have not had my hands on a Mark 6 - so no help from me. But most shooters I found that are drawn to the V1-6 like the bright fast center red dot and the M6 does not have that. The M6 is FFP and the Vortex 1-6 is SFP I don't think the scopes are comparable. If you wanted a FFP scope it won't be available from Vortex in the 1-6 for over a year from what I heard any way. I still love the Vortex1-4 in the FFP , and if I was to shoot a team event ware I hade to range targets at unknown distance on the clock I would use it over the 1-6 in SFP.
  16. depending on your scope & mount & cheek weld , the normal charge handle can make it not work. Like with a long range scope and extra high mount. It would be nice to have a raised cheek piece on the stock. I could see it being an advantage from a prone position too. With all that I did not spend the extra cash to get one for my self when I ordered a new upper from JP its looks like all new BC come with the side charge cut now. = Both of my new ones have the cut , even though the upper is plain
  17. IN 1993 I was told by an old time shooter that "competitive shooting will not last three more years" And that was when each shooting sport did not see the validity of the 'other guys' shooting sport.
  18. IF, the Mayans were better at predicting the future, there would still be Mayans .
  19. I think its the best thing out of the NRA in a very long time. and I will send $$ so that I can be part of a solution I think WLP is correct and twisted pond scum of sick heads are planning for copy cat. its just a mater of time.
