  1. Great to hear, hope you're enjoying it!
  2. You have zero idea what you're talking about. While the single action hooks in any aftermarket hammer will help, the bolo will drop SAO tigger weight. The EGD or Henning trigger will not do the same thing, because you can not get a pre/over screw travel to meet in the middle. You can with a bolo and post travel screw. Early on, we tried to make the bolo work with the pre/post, but it couldn't get anywhere near what the bolo/post set-up achieved. I think that's why some people are anti-bolo in a SAO gun; they tried running it with the pre/post. Every single person I've put in a bolo/post set-up has not looked back...
  3. Sorry, the hurricane shut down the shop for a good week and a half. It just so happened to coincide with our bolo run. That being said, there are mods you cam do to the bolo to get some monstrous throw in DA. But yes, it's good to sort your gat out.
  4. You'll love that gun, until you need to reassemble it, lol. Good looking collection.
  5. Put a bolo in it. Trim some material off the tip of the bolo and get your DA stroke DEEP. You should have not put all those extreme parts in it, but what's done is done. Also, you need to seat your primers deeper, but you did say that already... but if you want a quick fix, put a modified bolo in. I'm guessing you didn't put a bolo in because you were worried about light strikes, etc.?
  6. The nose of the disco that rides the frame is too long/tall. The frame is forcing the disco up and off the tigger bar too early. The disco needs to ride that portion a little more before its pushed off. If you take, say, 008 - 010" off the nose of the disco, I can guarantee you, you'll get a DA hammer that goes back and damn near touches the beaver tail. That being said, .008 - .010" is just my personal experience. If you decide to do this, I'd go in .004 increments.
  7. Not much out of the box. Just make sure your pre travel and post travel screws are set decent.
  8. IIRC they were one of the first to use a marking substance aka, gun shot residue to help forensics. Other than that, not much (I could be wrong, though).
  9. Here's my welded 170 next to MBX, and an up close of the weld job. I sent two to Joe, and he said they run flawless run of his GT, too.
  10. It wasn't until recently folks were actually able to source 38 super, large frame big sticks. Either from EAA or across the pond. EAA is now stocking them. There is a reason the EAA or welded tubes work better than MBX - there are no guide indentations on the MBX. The amount you have to play around with the different OAL before you get your gun to actually feed right or stop nose dives will drive you crazy. Also, you'd better be using RN if you have the slightest hope of having confidence in an MBX. The factory mags, whether you buy the big stick now, or weld two tubes together, they have the indentations that make reliability excellent.
  11. Kind of. It was really about the GT v12 discontinuation for the Domina... but, I understand what you're saying. I think the reason other brand 9M guns go quick is because most people aren't even paying for 9 brass. So they figure they can take a little more of the intimate hit on the purchase, since they won't be spending any money on brass.
  12. If the price of 38s (c) brass keeps you from shooting an open gun, you shouldn't be in open. 9major should be a preference, not a necessity. No different than urethane, five layer golf balls; or these ridiculously expensive GP4000II tires for my road bike... Want to play fast, it costs.
  13. Because they needed a platform that would run 9 major without the v12 craziness. Also, it looks better using the limited frame instead of the s2 frame. If you're a little boy, then stick to the GT... The v12 in 38 super is a great platform. The MBX mags are hit or miss, as they'll likely need to be tuned to your gun. I beta tested them with Adrian, so I've been around the block with those in 140 and 170. That being said, you'd be better off buying 38 super mags and welding 2 together...
  14. I can't really understand what you're describing. Can you post a quick video, please?
  15. You either live near an ocean, or sweat sea salt...
  16. If you have a Gen 1 trigger bar, the titan and bolo will (99%) drop in, with your current set up.
  17. They should be in stock soon. Our machine shop took a massive hit from the hurricane, and put us back a few weeks. Is your DA short? There's a mod to get a longer DA throw, if that's your issue?
  18. I literally just laughed out loud! Glad you got it figured out.
  19. You can't polish extreme parts. You might as well just put them in as is.
  20. Lol 'Cause you don't know what you're talking about. ??
  21. Plus the trigger is better on the tanfo.
