  1. After every stage of limited or open, I always pull the baseplate, spring, and follower - run a micro fiber through the tube and re-assymble. I know many people that do the same. Disclaimer: we shoot in very dry and dusty conditions.
  2. The one piece sear means the trigger bar is only pushing back one leg, instead of two.
  3. $40 and a day or so turn around. Patriot is knee deep in the hurricane right now, so you'll have to wait.
  4. Some of the chambers and throats are really tight. It's been widely discussed on here. Patriot Defense will ream your barrel, and you never have an issue with it.
  5. Pull your firing pin and block out. Take pictures. Upload them here. We will be able to determine your next course of action. There's nothing wrong with the sear. Don't touch the bolo.
  6. The tear down isn't bad, it's going back in. The hammer/strut, etc. assembly come out in one piece; kind of like a Lego block of parts. Trying to reinstall that Lego block of parts, with a roll pin, is nearly impossible. The alignment is really wierd. I did it on a pair of tanfo Force 9mm for a local guy. If he wasn't a good friend, I'd have drove past his house, dropped down to 35mph, and chucked them on his front lawn... in pieces. I refuse to work on them now. Any gunsmith would be smart to charge a double hourly rate when R&R the hammer group. You get what you pay for, though... I'm guessing around the high 5 or low 6 at retail. Haven't gotten that far yet. I wouldn't own one for free.
  7. Neither. It has the same garbage hammer group housing as the Force models. The worst platform to work on/with. Sorry for pic quality, I had to lighten them up.
  8. If you're feeling like playing gunsmith, you can fit a bolo in there. But t3 will be about a close as you can come to a drop in, if you want to go that route. Good luck.
  9. I do the same mod for SAO CZ's, too. If you're wanting a drop-in, go with the CGW T3 or Custom shop pre-b. If you want a full fit, 1911 style break and reset, grab a bolo from patriot defense. Like I said, keep the over travel screw, ditch the pretravel screw.
  10. Good luck with your set-up. I'm just giving you a better option than what you're currently running. You asked... You'll never get a better SAO trigger using pre/post screws vs a t3 or full fit disco.
  11. If you have the race hammer already, get a T3 disco. Take the pre travel screw out of the trigger, but leave the over travel in.
  12. Titan has a better hammer hook design. The Unica line is Tanfo parts is Tanfos way of creating some space between itself and the extreme line. Decipher that as you may... There's a lot going on at Tanfo. That being said, the titan still reigns.
  13. It's the unica, and you're better off with the titan. Trust me.
  14. Yes, it's the pluger assembly that keeps positive tension on the trigger bar. That being saod, it's a superior design to the CZ spring - if you've had a CZ and had to mess with that spring, you know how much of a pain in the sack it is.
  15. Yup, exactly. Congrats. You'll freaking love that thing. You'll be the loudest kid at the playground. Male sure to double up, plugs/muffs. Lol
  16. Joe and his family are hunkering down for the hurricane. He's expecting Sunday to be the worst. Store front is boarded up. Shipping will be a little delayed.
  17. That's how they come. No sights and a non-v12 barrel with an un-ported comp.
  18. Armiger solutions on a Boss hanger. The workmanship is second to none... And I've had them all. The boss hanger contact point is molded different, with better support, and lower.
  19. Acme holds their coating. Turned a couple buddies onto them too. No issues out of their open platforms either. Not that it needs it, but you can run a spray shot of Pam in/on the comp if you're worried about it.
  20. Thanks man. Just easier to get on target and transition (for me). I noticed though, a lot of my friends that started the game in Limited prefer the S3, though. Again, to ME, the S2 feels like a true production gun; the S3, more like a limited. If that makes sense, lol.
