What distance do you zero at?
Hoosiershooter replied to Bluemooncricket's topic in Pistol Caliber Carbine
I zeroed at 15. For the local matches that's more than fine. I'm about 3" high at 50 for bay style 3 gun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I've got another Triggertech coming. I know a few running them with good results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Practice is the best tip. And I don't say that to be rude. Offhand eats people's lunch. 4x10 knock overs are great practice. But don't just stand and deliver. Get your heart rate up and practice coming into position and engaging targets. Strive for first round hits. Run a drill until you can clean it. Don't compromise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How to spin MGM vertical dual target ("spinner")
Hoosiershooter replied to NicVerAZ's topic in Handgun Techniques
I'd love to see that. Because I'm going to say it's not possible. It takes 2 seconds to spin it with a shotgun and prairie storm at 12yds almost. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
There's this option too. It sticks on with vhb tape. Leave the stock sight in case it comes https://www.amazon.com/Champion-EasyHit-2-5mm-Diameter-Shotgun/dp/B004U8M52E Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had pretty good results with CFE loaded at moderate velocities. Makes loading easier as well on a progressive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Look at the Geissele Super precision. It's tailor made for the Razor. Awesome mount for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Help Trick Out My Franchi Affinity
Hoosiershooter replied to Independence's topic in Shotgun - Technical
+6 on most 26" guns will come up about .75" short of a bare muzzle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Looks like a burr in the chamber. You can check headspace without gauges. You have to strip your bolt of the ejector, you can then take a known good cartridge fit it to the bolt and make sure it will lock up in the extension. Poor mans way but it should tell you if you're good or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Heat, the factory tube has a thread locker on it. A hot hair dryer should be enough. If you don't plan to reuse it drill a hole perpendicular to the tube slide a screw driver in and use the leverage to break it free. There is a plastic spacer so be cautious around it. I've had good luck with the Odin adjustable. And worst case they have rebuild kits that are affordable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's what I ordered. The Noveske was too big to mount and I didn't like how the grovtec was basically just threaded in. A loop of 550 over the mag tube worked just fine though through Blue ridge Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Red dot for shells around 1200, green dot for 1250 and up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Necessary, no. But it would be nice to have. Then I can use my rifle sling for both. I have a paracord loop now and would prefer a more solid attachment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks. I've seen that one. I'm wanting it permanent in the forearm. Might be out of luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I searched on here and found some alternative. Is there a way to install the Noveske qd in a Benelli forearm? Or do you need to epoxy a grovtec in? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Appropriate Choke for local club 3 Gun
Hoosiershooter replied to theautobahn's topic in Shotgun - Technical
Find your local trap range. They should have a grease board you can pattern on. Just step off your distance and shoot. You can see you pattern density with different chokes and different distance. With that said I carry 3 chokes. Skeet, IC and LM. Not much you can't do with all of those. And my slugs all hit an AC zone at 50 yards using the same hold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Tag to follow. I just found a 24@ SBE 2 for a price I couldn't pass up. I'm looking for info on recoil spring changes to help run lighter loads. Hope there are some answers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
