  1. As if I paid any attention in physics. Shooting my stock guns one after the other to my guns with lighter slides (same models) using the same ammo - the ones with lighter slides feel significantly less snappy to me and split times are faster with them. Maybe it's in my head. Thanks for clarifying that my math is incorrect. I don't 4+4 very well.

  3. Yep. The top guys in the race gun world aren't shooting lightened slides becuase it makes recoil worse. lol
  4. We're currently working on a Stock II mount, however, it's made considerably different than the Classic II dovetail is.
  5. You can agree or disagree, but it's very simple physics. There's nothing to debate. Less moving mass = less recoil. Plain and simple.
  6. Phosphate is what AR-15 carriers are finished in, some 1911 slides, etc. When kept lightly oiled, it makes for quite a slick finish. Yes, we refinish a lot of magazines and steel muzzle devices in phosphate. It's very cost effective and does a great job.
  7. We do phosphate. This is a slide we milled and refinished in it : http://i.imgur.com/b5v7Ot0.jpg[/IMG]
  8. You're thinking about it the totally wrong way. Less slide weight = less recoil, not more/snappier.
  9. No springs exposed with our cut. Our cut is enough to wipe the dovetail completely out and still leave plenty of meat for the firing pin block area. His firing pin block spring was exposed by the factory cut of the dovetail.Ah, what model slide?

  11. Sounds good. We're here and ready to take care of you whenever you're ready.
  12. We're running around 2 weeks right now.
  13. Thank for the recommendation. We can take care of your SP-01. We mill tons of SP-01's. What optic are you wanting to mill for?
  14. We've milled a ton of slides for DP Pros and as far as I know, they're holding up perfectly fine.
  15. Hm, seems like something a lot of you guys really want, but are wanting an extended safety with it as well... We'd love to take on both fronts, but there simply isn't enough hours in a day. Or maybe just working 12-16 hours a day isn't enough. Either way, we just don't have the time right now to take it on as much as we'd love to. The whole crew working 60+ hours/wk is just enough to keep our lead times where they are.
  16. Water jet isn't going to give you nice quality cuts. If you want 100% crisp corners - it needs to be EDM'd, and likely will crack with not much use. We can do any cuts you'd like via CNC mill though. Check us out in our industry forum.
  17. I have seen two G34s crack at the front lower corner of the ejection port on the right side. Both guns had at least 50k honest round count through them and were at least a decade old. That's nothing but 9mm factory ammo and 9mm minor hand loads (titegroup and FMJs). No major ammo here - all IDPA SSP and USPSA Production. Glock warrantied the slide in both cases. Not saying they can't crack like any other slide, but I certainly don't see it near as often as some of these 1911 ans 2011 slides seem to.

  20. Hey I wouldn't have a problem sending mine. I could make these as well in my shop but I don't have a cnc so it would take me longer. If we can get a group buy together then lets do it. My first idea was to drill and thread the dovetail for the optic mount screws but after looking it over I believe the better option is to put the optic screws into the relief for the adjustable rear sight. That way the mount can set lower. The optic mount will overhang in the rear slightly but not enough to cause any interference problems. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk Sounds good, Postman! If you wouldn't mind, just post in our group buy thread that you're in for one, game for sending your slide, and what optic you need the mount for.I'm just trying to get an idea of quantities.
  21. If enough of you guys want dovetail adaptors, we could make a run of them on the CNC pretty quickly. Making several at a time would be far more cost effective than one's and two's. Hit us up in our vendor forum for a tone interested. If someone would want to donate their slide and optic for us to have on hand when we produce them, we'll do yours free. For us to make one or two wouldn't be cost effective, but 3+ I belive we can offer at an unbeatable price. We can have them hard coat anodized after or cerakoted. Either way, pricing would be right in line, if not less, than all the other dovetail mounts out there.
  22. Send it to us. We'd be happy to take care of you!
