Heading back home to it's rightful owner today.
  2. Bingo. We could lighten a BCG easily, but the time it would take to draw it and set it up would just about run what an already lightened bolt is.
  3. Hope this is not too late to stop you. I have a FF3 on mu P-09 and it is now on my Turkey. I hated the shape of the lens, the dust cover the automatic setting. Just be warned that if you have it in auto mode it will turn off 80 % of the time after the second or third stage. I just installed a doctor sight and have fired 300 rounds through it. it is freakin awesome. I was ready to scrap the whole idea of CO but with this sight I feel I can start to get better instead of worrying about equipment issues. My .02, My wife and I have been using Doctor sights for about 18 months, they are great. Hard to believe it is not the GO -TO dot for CO Not hard to believe at all. You can buy 2 FF3's for the price of 1 Docter. Not to mention the FF III's have a great track record overall. For every 1 person complaining about one, there's probably 100 others out there having zero issues. I would venture to say that the FF III is probably THE single most popular reflex optic out there right now. At least that's definitely the case from what we see come through our shop.
  4. We've removed and replaced sights on every popular make and model gun out there in our shop. Xd's are EASILY the hardest sights to remove. I have heard different things about how Springfield installs them, but one thing is for sure, they're no fun getting out!

This looks awesome, and light. How much for just the cut? I've got a 24 slide that is in need of lightening.Check messages. And thanks, we're very proud of it. I've shot custom Glocks from every big company out there and this is the flatest shooting Glock any one of us at the shop has ever handled without a comp.

Small group photo. Some we milled for Fastfire III's, some underwent weight loss programs, and one got some front cocking serrations. All finished off with cerakote. Ignore the pesky Sig that snuck in. Images removed.
  10. Some of you guys have $550 Glocks out shooting $5,000 match 1911's. If true, very, very impressive.
  11. 3"-4" with factory ammo. Might be able to get into the 2" area if you're using hand loads tuned to that gun. Of course, Glock tolerances vary quite a bit from gun to gun as far as barrel fit. Your particular gun may do a bit better, might do a bit worse.
  12. FF III is a very solid optic. I posted this on another forum when asked about my opinions on popular reflex sights as we mill slides and handle dozens of them daily.FF III. - Best out there for the money. Simply can't be touched for ~$250-$275. Most last many thousands of rounds +. If yours happens to die, Burris has no problem replacing them, no questions asked. DP Gen 1 - Solid optic, be careful with the tiny torx screws stripping as it is a very common issue. DP Pro - TANKS. The most solid optic I've personally had in hand and used by far. They haven't been out long, but I have heard of only one customer of ours having an issue with one out of probably about 30-40ish or so we've milled so far since they've been out. RMR - I have nothing specifically against them, other than people have the misconception that since they're made by Trijicon, they're gods gift to reflex sights. And that's just wrong. They fail as much (more in our experience from reports) than the rest. Maybe it's just that they're more popular so naturally we will hear of them failing more, I don't know. Various C-More's - Same stuff you hear from everyone. Hit and miss. Some seem to be unkillable, some crap out quickly. The rest out there, we haven't milled very many, nor do I have a lot of experience with them to comment. This is the only one I have. Unfortunately taking pics isn't always something we have a lot of time to think about doing.

    Slide milling

Primary Arms, I don't think anyone else can beat them for quality of work, cost and turn around time combined. My FFIII fits like a glove.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I want to see some more pics of your 85 we did! Everyone at the shop was talking about the color scheme when we were milling it.

    Slide milling

In the last few days we have been flooded with emails for people sending CZ and Tanfo slides to be milled for optics. Can't wait to see so many of them out there.
  16. All I see is a ruined production gun.... *weeps* Then you, sir, must never have experienced how fun shooting a pistol with a red dot is.
  17. As soon as it looks like these are going to be imported, I will be on a wait list with CZC for one. Without a doubt.
  18. You're thinking like an iron sight shooter .... What happens to open guys when their optics fail? can you say backup gun? Haven't heard of someone's optic failing in the middle of a match .... I'm sure it has happened but probably quite rare .... Then you should read about RTS2 owners hahaha They seem to fail in a match weekly. Wanna know a secret? They can ALL fail. Some more than others. RMR's...you name it.

    Slide milling

We've done Shadows and maaany other CZ's.
  20. We handle all the popular reflex sights out there daily in our shop. The DP Pro is the king of them all IMO. It just comes with a hefty price tag. If price isn't an issue, I'd pick the DP Pro over the RMR or any other any day. The thing is just built like a damn tank and we already have customers approaching the 10k round mark on some with zero issues - that's mounted on the slide which everyone claims "abuses" the optic.

Couple customer guns. G 43 w/ stippled frame, angled serrations, Dawson Precision fiber optic carry sights, and burnt bronze finish. G 17 w/ stippled frame, angled serrations, radius vents, Trijicon night sights, and satin aluminum finish.
  22. All we use is blue and have never had a customer tell us their bolts ever came loose. Torquing to recommended spec goes a long ways as well.
  23. Customer 97B he had hard chromed after we milled for the DP Pro.
