  1. The logos are machined in but, the color is a decal. The body and hanger only come in black. You can order it without the decal or peel it out.
  2. Try shooting Open... In USPSA and 3-gun.
  3. I love my Racemaster. I want this for my 3-gun open division belt.
  4. I hear that the original KMRs had a problem with the alloy being too soft and bending, so, they switched to a more traditional aluminum alloy.
  5. On the left at the barrel nut end, the "A" preceding the 15 (length) designates that it is an Alpha. A non-Alpha would read BCM-KMR-15.
  6. The lightest buffer for the A5 system is Vltor's A5H0 buffer (3.8oz). JP's LMOS rifle length buffer weighs 3.0oz.
  7. By the time you take factory STI mags and replace the guts and basepads for max capacity and then tune them for optimal feeding and reliability you will be at around the same price as an MBX mag.
  8. I loved both my dogs (they passed 2 and 4 years ago this month) and that is the biggest reason for me to NEVER bring them to the the range, let alone a match. The potential for injury is too high. Hearing damage, eye damage from fragments, bits of sharp bullet jacket cutting a paw, shall I keep going? And, letting them run loose? With bullets flying, what's wrong with these people?
  9. Same mechanism with an improved, stronger mount. Would be a good Open Division holster for 3-gun.
  10. My pair Open pistol: Built by Ryan at Spencer Race Guns. Stainless grip. DLC coated slide and frame. Titanium comp. Dawson magwell. Limited pistol: STI Edge 9mm. Factory hard chrome. PT ambi safety. Dawson magwell.
  11. 3 options that I know of that aren't drums. 1.) 12rd SGM mag with 3rd Taccom extension. 15rd total. $32.95 + shipping and cost of 12rd mag. 2.) Dissident Arms 20rd mag. $180 + shipping. 3.) Dissident Arms 15rd mag. $160 + shipping
  12. Yeeesss, I don't....see...how you could...expect...something...else.
  13. Just picked it up a few weeks ago. Built by Ryan Spencer at Spencer Race Guns. PT Stainless grip, PT 4140 SDC frame and PT ambi safety. Cheely titanium comp. Cheely mount. Deltapoint Pro. 9mm major. 3 popple holes. DLC coated frame and Slide.
  14. On my Open pistol: Lucas extreme gun grease on the barrel and either Lucas gun oil or Mobil 1 on everything else. (Recommended by my gunsmith) All other guns: Either Lucas gun oil or Mobil 1
  15. I had the same problem. Mine had a high spot inside where the mainspring housing meets the grip. Take the slide off. Insert a mag and shine a flashlight from the bottom while looking around the front, back and sides of the mag. Wiggle the mag slightly. If there is a spot where the mag remains in constant contact with the inside of the grip lightly file/sand that spot down until the mag drops free. File a little then check. Repeat as necessary. It probably won't take much.
  16. Moderators feel free to move if this is the wrong place. This is Steel Challenge specific and a real scenario, not hypothetical. A female competitor goes to use the facilities. Removes her belt at the neighboring safe area but, returns to the stage with her belt off, holster and gun still attached. She places belt on the table. Husband/boyfriend/fiance is loading mags and placing them in the mag pouches, handling said belt. DQ for her for carrying gun back in this manner? DQ for him for handling the belt with gun attached? The Steel Challenge rulebook, by itself, is silent on such a scenario. The USPSA rulebook calls for both to be DQed. Her for rule 5.2.1 (removing her belt with a holstered handgun outside the safe area), him for rule 10.5.1 (handling the belt with holstered handgun without direction of an RO). Both were DQed under this interpretation. Is this the correct call? I think it is. What do you think?
  17. My Vepr wouldn't cycle the Federals reliably either. From what I could figure out the hull flexed too much in the mag. It would essentially "squish" out of round causing it to stop part way to the chamber. Switched to Winchester AA and the problem disappeared almost entirely. The box mag-fed guns tend to need a stiffer hull.
