  1. Not yet. It's on my Rimfire Open gun for steel and will be going on my centerfire open when it's finished. I don't have much range time with it yet. Shot one Steel Challenge match last fall with it. I have the 7.5moa triangle. Seems to be plenty bright enough. A bit of a pain to adjust the brightness. The button is right in the line of sight. You have to hold it down for 2 seconds to change direction (brighter to dimmer and dimmer to brighter). Other than that it seems like a solid sight.
  2. 147gr factory loads that chrono @ 130pf for Limited. Faster recovery (for me). Don't have time and space to handload right now. Open gun is in the works will decide after some experimenting.
  3. I wish .... because of their current stupid weight limits I can't play with my CZ Shadow like I had planned to ..... and the real name of the division is:Plastic Carry Optics ...... Rules change And they did New rules approved by the board raises the weight limit to 45oz with empty mag.
  4. Is that a weight hanging way out front.
  5. Capt2045 says Oxford, NC for 2016. Being part of the Pro-Am management team, Capt should know.
  6. OH, HELL NO! If I saw someone wearing those I would assume they lost a bet or reach down and unclip them from their sock so that they DO get smacked in the balls. And exactly how would you know someone was wearing them without looking down their pants .....? If they are wearing shorts it's obvious. Read Chills1994's post. I ain't no pervert, I'm just an a_-hole.

  8. I don't know about battery life but, with its questionable reliability, l would be looking at a different optic for a carry gun. Many of these failures seem to be on frame mounted units. A slide mount would seem, to me, only to make things worse. There are better suited units into this price range.
  9. I had a problem with my 930 locking up when firing any heavy load. Took it back on warranty they replaced something in the lifter assembly but, didn't tell me what. No problems since then. On the rare occasion I need slugs I've been running Remington Reduced Recoil (easy to find locally).
  10. I think bringing in women and youth in is the key. I'm in my mid 30s and there aren't many regular shooters around my age or younger. Bringing in more women to our sports can help. How many guys drop out after getting married and starting a family?
  11. The RTS2 and Deltapoint Pro use different mounts. Cheely Custom Gunworks and Arredondo both have mounts compatible with the Pro. The Arredondo mount is for the JPoint but the DP Pro uses the same mounting pattern and comes with adapter plates for RTS2/STS2 and Doctor sights.
  12. I am going to give them the "benefit of the doubt" and hope they took 2015 as a learning experience and that the match being closer to home makes a difference as well. I would hate to see it die before they really have a chance to get their feet under them. There are always issues under new management. The "you f-ed up last year and I'm never coming back and no one else should either" is why some match directors throw up their hands and say "SCREW THIS! I'M DONE!" Being a match director/owner can be a thankless job at the local level then, add the stress of putting on a major match that people plan for all year and you wonder why anyone would do it. I hope they've received more CONSTRUCTIVE criticism than I've seen on this forum. I know I'll either catch hell or be completely ignored, I really don't care. Yes, they made mistakes. Don't judge it on one match. If they don't correct those mistakes, people don't show and it dies. If you don't think it's worth your time and money, don't go.
  13. The way I understand it, last year was the first year the new match owners ran it on their own without Phil Strader (previous owner) to help. This year it is also closer to their home.
  14. Stay away from the Ghost Carbon belt. It flexes WAY too much. DAA and CR Speed are good to go. Don't have any first hand experience with the Shooter's Connection belt. Love my DAA Racemaster magnetic holster.
  15. The SVI/Infinity interchangeable trigger shoe insert is held in by a screw accessed through the front with an Allen wrench.
  16. October 13-16 2016. The Range 5027 Hancock rd Oxford, NC. More info to come.
  17. Just looked at the Google satellite view. Have the facilities been expanded recently? It doesn't look like a big enough range for a match this size.
  18. Nothing that I've seen or heard. I was going to give them another week or so then shoot them another email.
  19. I don't see where it specifies hammer up or down for Production. You have to cross reference to USPSA rules to figure that out. The rulebook should be able to stand on its own or combine the rulebooks.
  20. You are correct. In Prod.it must be shot DA first shot in each string. The only problem I have encountered with prod guns is the shooters don't understand that ULSC new shooters will use a decocker to drop the hammer. You have to watch them and make sure they drop the hammer with the trigger on the empty chamber. Usually after explaining the reason for this they understand. I've cought this many times with new shooters and make them repeat the ULSC. I do explain why and don't remember anyone having a problem with it.
  21. I just read through the Steel Challenge rules and it is vague but, we have always defaulted to USPSA start conditions for the respective divisions. DA Production guns start hammer down. If someone can show me where I'm wrong, please do so.
  22. ...or longer. Or they debut something that they are nowhere near ready to bring to market and it never does make it to market.
  23. Not that I've heard. I was told via email that they hoped to have a date locked down by Dec 6. That's come and gone and no word yet. The only thing they would say is end of Sept beginning of Oct.
  24. Jesus! Where are you shopping, Macy's?!?Sight is between 3-400 and mounts less than a hundred HOLY $#!+!!! Is it a special gold plated edition? $420 is the highest I've seen. Mounts around $100 or so. About $525 or less for everything.
