  1. Is that a standard Kensight? Did you have to do any fitting? Thinking about one for my Springer loaded.
  2. Norinco .45 with STI T.A.S rear sight ( Kensight), VZ grips and Ed Brown Maxi-well
  3. Try these from brownells $16 a pieceI have just got some for an M&P and they work fine. 098-000-193WB Revolution SMP-1911 .45 Single Stack Mfr Part: 845879015331
  4. Get some less aggressive grips the have plenty of options, Being in Australia we don't have much choice other than to buy and see if you like them. I'm a sucker for their grips and have purchased probably 8 different set to finally settle on the ones I like. Luckily they are easy to sell off down here.
  5. Sorry Mike IPSC has allowed the HS/ XD from when they first got released I used a HS2000 from around 2007 IIRC until last year there was never a time they weren't on the Production list. Just reviewing the IPSC forum and the HS2000/ Springfield XD were approved back in 2005
  6. The rules do prohibit S/A pistols, because to shoot Production the guns must be on the lis,t as they are not on it they are prohibited by exception. Try using a S/A and let me know if you are allowed?

First shot attempted must be double action. Competitors in this Division who, after the issuance of the start signal and prior to attempting the first shot, cock the hammer on a handgun which has a loaded chamber, will incur one procedural penalty per occurrence. Note that a procedural penalty will not be assessed in respect of courses of fire where the ready condition requires the competitor to prepare the handgun with an empty chamber. In these cases, the competitor may fire the first shot single action. Original parts and components offered by the OFM as standard equipment, or as an option, for a specific model handgun on the IPSC approved handgun list are permitted, subject to the following: Modifications to them, other than minor detailing (the removal of burrs and/or adjustments unavoidably required in order to fit replacement OFM parts or components), are prohibited. 8. IPSC does not consider the XD a single action if you look on the Production list you will find them list there. From the IPSC Production list - P9, XD, XD(M) (except ported models), XDS45 Not Approved: XDM 5.25 Series - XD/XDM Production model, XD/XDM Custom Competition model
  9. If your looking for a competition and CC belt try the 5.11 Arc belt and use Bladetech holster and gear http://www.511tactical.com/arc-leather-belt-1-12-wide.html
  10. I've been using a single pouch behind the gun for a couple of years now it's just the barney/start mag for me. It's not a long reach, it's over the top of the ass pocket in pants so no problem at all. Usually load one round with behind the gun mag and then use #5 mag for stage which gives me either 11 in the gun for minor or 9 if I'm shooting major.
  11. 5 x Double Alpha Racer pouches and 1 magnet ( IPSC in Australia) bullets forward. And an Uncle Mikes mag pouch right side behind the gun for Barney
  12. should be able to use STI mags with a possible change of the mag release or a bit of work on it anyway
  13. How did they work? I'm interested myself
  14. Depends on the persons build, and the fact we shoot IPSC they get away with it only after the buzzer goes as they are then allowed to put mags on it.
  15. I've seen plenty over here that haven't Sarge
  16. The only issue is if you put them on mag pouches is complying with the 2in rule
  17. You don't need to make Division capacity rules for States with capacity limits. Down here in Aust we are by limited to 10 round magazines we shoot IPSC and the rules don't change for us. If guy's go overseas they use higher capacity mags to shoot those matches. Your USPSA rule book could do away with Limited 10 as a division and not effect anyone, as those in states with restrictions shoot xxxx 10 anyway like we do. We just abide by the law of the land, in my State we are allowed up to .45 for IPSC Classic but as yet the other States are not, so in my State I shoot .45 major PF and when I do interstate I shoot 9mm minor PF. The 15 round limit for Production was bought in to stop the perceived capacity race in Production from manufacturers selling greater capacity OEM mags like the Sig Tac Ops 226 that has a 20 rnd capacity, personally it wouldn't bother me if they dropped the limit and allowed factory capacities.
  18. Or the JR Holsters belt, I'm using one and it compares well to the CR.
  19. Shooting IPSC Classic here using a Springfield Loaded .45 parkerized with the fixed rear sight, have thrown on VZ EDC grips a Techwell XT and an extended mag release. No issues as yet
  20. i was going to buy one for sh#ts and giggles but haven't been able to down here.
  21. I used to see 5.11 advertising what they called tactical kilts were they a real for sale item or a prank? anyone know?
  22. I have recently picked up some of the Tru-Spec Simply Tactical Cargo shorts from US Patriot Tactical, going to grab some of their trousers to try them out. Good quality and at $23 a pair (shorts) and $33 for trousers a good deal I think. http://uspatriottactical.com/tru-spec-24-7-series-simply-tactical-cargo-shorts/
