  1. I use the Hi-Viz magnetic sight. Attaches right over top your original bead. It stays in place and is really bright.
  2. Another shout out for Taylor Freelance. Simple, rigid, easy to switch out for different set ups.
  3. Federal has a "Black Pack" bulk ammo special going. You get a $20 rebate per box up to $100. They have bulk 9mm, 223 and 22lr. Most ammo sellers have them, Palmeto, Target Sports, etc
  4. Plus they have the funniest videos to promote their products. They make great gear but obviously don't take themselves too seriously.
  5. That's a great looking vise block. I might have to get one. Have you used it much, does it fit the uppers without a lot of slop?
  6. Does your PCC have a ramped barrel? A buddy has a Goliath and has had zero issues. He's running a Tacom ramped barrel. I think my issues might be the PSA barrel that just has a full diameter chamfer as a feed ramp. I'm doing some more testing this week.
  7. So, spent a lot more time at the range today playing with the Goliath. One issue I had was that with rounds loaded in the 1.125-1.300 range I was having some jams with a fully loaded mag. Not sure if it's the tolerances of the plastic Glock mag or the fact that I running them in a PSA lower or tolerance issues between the two. There is a lot of pressure on the mag catch with a fully sprung Goliath and my mag literally can move in and out about .03-.04 while locked in the lower. That with the short OAL was causing the round nose bullets to jam on the edge where the barrel is tapered to act as a feed ramp. Not sure if all barrels are cut the same and it may just be an issue with this style of barrel. I increased the OAL a bit to 1.150. The rounds still fit in the extension but I still experienced a few jamming of the nose into the edge, just not as often as before. I tried the same OAL rounds with about 25 rds. in the mag and had no issues. This leads me to believe that the spring pressure of the fully loaded mag is just forcing my mag down and with the tolerances it's sitting to low in the receiver to function reliably. I am going to find the maximum OAL that will fit in the extension and then try it again tomorrow. I need to look also, or get some input from others as to the configuration of the "feed ramp" area of different companies barrels. I am thinking maybe a slight modification of my barrel to remove the sharp edge a bit might help also.
  8. Robin said that because of the wall thickness of the 20 rd. extension he recommends the OAL. I have gone longer with no issues. I did more range time today with some issues and info, so read below.
  9. Nope, just a standard 31 rd. Glock mag. No trimming needed, you do need to press the sides in considerably to slide it on the extension but TF has a video that shows everything.
  10. Yes to both! Took all of 5 minutes tops to put together.
  11. Took mine to the range today, ran great. Assembly was pretty simple and cleaning is a breeze with the spring pin base plate. Be careful though. I wanted to test sliding off the base to clean it and in the process of putting it back together managed to launch my spring across the bay. One thing you should be aware of is that Robin recommends your ammo be around 1.125 OAL. Heavier bullets with longer lengths will hang up in the extension. Most guys that I know who are running PCC use 115’s so it’s not much of an issue. I loaded my 125 blue bullets at 1.140 OAL and they ran fine.
  12. I have the Zulu stock from Odin on my PCC. I really like it with all it’s adjustablilty and being fairly light weight. Only issue I’ve had is that my cheek weld when firing is on the metal part and not the foam pad. I’m just not comfortable with my head that far forward.
  13. Just got an email says mine has shipped. I'll post a review when I get some time with it.
  14. I was told that they are hoping to have them available end of this month.
  15. That’s one sweet looking revolver!
  16. I pre-ordered one. If they are anything like Robin's other stuff they should be sweet.
  17. Not to get too far off topic, but is there a significant difference in weight between the Feather Weight and ULW barrels? I'm assuming it stands for "ultra light weight".
  18. I waver back and forth between rim fire and center fire. Usually it comes down to an issue of time. It's super easy to just grab a box of 22's and head to the match. No holster, don't have to load ammo, etc. I love shooting my PCC and Open gun, but the 22's are just plan fun to do and easy.
  19. Oh Man...............if I was only 20 yrs. younger!!! Thanks for posting the videos. Looks like a blast.
  20. Great stuff guys. Thanks for all the detail. I have made some gains this year doing a small scale version of this theory. I pretty much stumbled upon it. Most of my Steel shooting was with rimfire and when I tried to step my centerfire game up a bit I figured my weak link would be the draw from the holster. After a few weeks of just doing holster draw drills my centerfire times improved dramatically. The drills weren't just practice the whole draw and shoot thing. I broke them down into segments like reaction to the buzzer, grip position. finding the dot as I extended the pistol, etc.
  21. Wow, that is REALLY run and gun. At first I thought you were asking if any of the Steel Challenge folks shot USPSA or 3Gun in addition to Steel. That does look like a lot of fun though. Back in my younger days (when I could actually run) I use to shoot a local summer biathlon series during the summer with guys that were Biathlon shooters, training with no snow. It's amazing what being out of breath will do to your sight picture.
  22. Are other manufactures 9mm barrels threaded 1/2-28? I'm only familiar with the PSA PCC's but thought all 9mm barrels where that thread size. Mainly so you didn't screw on a .223 brake by accident.
  23. I used WSP in my Steel gun and had a bunch, so when I started loading for my Open gun to make major I tried them. Maybe it's my load but they seemed to flatten way to much for my liking so I switched to Fed. small rifle for my major loads.
