  1. AR Gold and Trigger Tech are my favorites. Very consistent and super reliable.
  2. That’s way cool, and you know your comp is doing it’s job!
  3. Yep, hard to beat Burris customer service. Haven’t had much go wrong with their products I use, but when I did have an issue they were stellar.
  4. I’ve never rolled my 9 major brass, but I only use the same brand. I just sort out the Blaser cases from my range pickups. Size them in my RCBS sizer, but run them through a Lee crimp die with the carbide sizer ring in it. I’ve never had a feed issue yet. I use them once or maybe twice then dump them. I only use the Blaser brass for my 9 major loads, that way I don’t mistakenly use them in any other 9mm pistols by mistake.
  5. Some of us at my local club are going to try this through the winter, hopefully get some improvement.
  6. Try EGW, if they aren't listed on the website give them a call. they might be able to direct you to someone that has them.
  7. This /\. I run Burris FF3’s on all my rim fire guns and C-More Slide Ride on all centerfire guns. No issues yet, knock on wood.
  8. Double duty, excellent, I'll have to try that this weekend.
  9. This /\ I've run a light modified for many years now. I have others in my bag but never found the need to swap. If you know where your pattern and slug impacts are at different distances you should be fine. A lot of people never test their pattern and miss, then think they should be changing chokes.
  10. Mag pouches for anything other than the 5 rounders are a real pain in the ass. I would recommend you look at the mag hooks from Dissident Arms or the Hayes set up from Advanced Tactical. I use the simple mag hooks and they work great. They just slid down over your belt and you can position them anywhere that is best for you.
  11. That’s one beautiful pistol! Going from SS to Open is like going from go karts to Indy cars! Enjoy, open is a blast.
  12. The biggest reason for decline in 3 gun attendance in my area (at least for local club matches) has been the shortage of ammo. I load everything, but still am selective as to what matches I shoot because my component supply is going down and even though some powder and bullets are becoming available, primers will soon be the biggest issue for me in early next year.
  13. I was going to say it looks a lot like a Leofoto. I have the 364C and have been happy with it. My ball head it’s as large, the LH-36 but works well. That one looks a lot beefier. Let us know what you conclude on the comparison. I don’t compete enough yet to warrant the cost of a RRS set up, lol.
  14. My best guess would be either a 2 part epoxy or one of the stronger hot melt glue materials. Gluing anything in relation to firearms is a bit of a risk. Between the materials used, recoil, cleaning solvents, etc. Glue is not a great choice. Good luck with the project.
  15. I’ve been running the Atlas with rubber feet for a year now. I have a set of cleats to swap out, but I think I only did it once and that was mainly just to try them out on a tire prop. Also, like Tony said, most matches I’ve been to around here you use it about one of the ten stages. I’d just run what you have until you see a real need for something else, like if it cost you hits.
  16. I’ve never polished mine actually, but I do clean the outside with a silicone cloth after using them and every month or so clean the inside with a mag brush and solvent. Then a cloth with a little dry lube like moly.
  17. I’m running 1.155 with the Hornady 125 action pistol JHP.
  18. Great video, thanks for sharing. I love the "forgot the screws" segment, lol.
  19. I haven’t really thought much about weight reduction. Saving a few ounces here and there won’t make much difference when you hang a magazine off the bottom with almost a box of 12ga. Shot shells in it.
  20. One other thing you might want to try as part of your dry fire drills is movement, if you have the room to do so. A lot of the time you will be moving while reloading which saves time if done efficiently. You can practice that easily at home. Run from point A to point B while changing mags. Also there will be times when it is advantageous to actually shoot while moving. Some stages will be better shot by running to a specific position and then shooting, some will be better shooting as you move. Set up a few targets and practice walking parallel to them, or coming forward towards them while getting a good sight picture and dry firing.
  21. A few of mine had real heavy paint on them. After an extended period of use the paint wore off and they started dropping better. Now I just buff the paint off of new mags. If you shove them in and out a few times you will see where they are hanging up.
  22. They have worked well for me. They are reasonably priced (a plus when you need three) and have a great warranty that I’ve never had to use. They don’t have the auto shut off that some other makes have, so I shut them off between stages. I also carry extra batteries because it’s almost guaranteed that when one goes dead it will be at the worst possible time, lol.
