  1. I had same problem with mine. There is a thread here in the archives somewhere with lots of pictures. Bottom line I used a dremel and ground down the inside radius of the chamber. It has fed very well ever since.
  2. Are these run on a regular schedule? I have been traveling a lot this year and missed too many matches. I could use some additional trigger time. Conroe is doable.
  3. I ordered one from DSG. It arrived yesterday. Hope to try it out at the local match this weekend.
  4. Xtreme had 185 gr plated HPs yesterday. I ordered 1000. Shipped same day. I tested some samples Freedom Munitions were giving away at the TX Multi gun in April. Very accurate out of my Schuman barreled Para.
  5. I cleaned out my parts box and sent in about a dozen items under warranty. I had the replacements in about a week after my box was received. I ordered a new powder measure assembly and powder drop tube for .223. That order took a little over two weeks to arrive.
  6. 124 gr Berry RN here. Very pleased with the accuracy so far. This gun is on par with any full house custom pistol I own.
  7. I have been on a major weight loss initiative since the first if the year. As I was nearing my goal weight last month, I ordered a 36" ELS belt to replace the 40" I had been wearing for the past year. I switched out all my hardware to attend a Team Noveske 3G class and the belt was perfect. Yesterday I shot our local match and the belt over lapped by about 1 1/2". With the TX Multigun this week, I do not have time to order another belt and rearranging all the hardware at this late date is out too. I am going to try cutting down the belt. Just wondering if anyone here has tried this before.........
  8. Does not seem to be much chatter considering we are in the home stretch for this event. Why so? I'll be staying at the Country Inn and Suites on North IH-35. Anybody planning any get togethers for dinner? We have met at Twin Peaks the last two years and had a pretty good time.
  9. Another GTG here. The holster was somewhat problematic. I had to remove the drop offset to get the proper fit and angle. I have a lot of Tek-Lok attachments in the parts box now.
  10. I ran a bunch of these primers during the Clinton era primer scares. I lucked into finding 10K at some off the beaten path gun shop. As I recall I was still running Winchester Super Lite in my P16-40. I backed the load down a couple tenths and was GTG. As a matter of fact I still have 3K or so of these primers left on the shelf. As always, be careful and work up your own load....etc....
  11. Just bought one for a Sagia I am building. Did so after watching a guy in our local 3G matches run one on his. They like their steel at a distance around here.
  12. I was shooting a match just north of Detroit several yeras ago. I was on the last bit of discontinued Winchester Super Light and looking for a new powder for my .40. One gentleman on my squad was shooting a similar Para with very little recoil. I commented it looked like he had a good, soft load and asked what powder he was using. The guy flew all over me for accusing him of "cheating". Thinking back on it now, the way he went off I'd bet he was shooting minor and claiming major.
  13. Whatever you get, make sure it has adjustable speed. Slower RPM is much better for most jobs. I really like the flex shaft accessory too. It allows you to have better control and reach into tight spots.
  14. Ed VandenBerg for sure. Great guy, excellent work. He has done all sorts of work on pistols, rifles and shotguns for me. He even did the full custom .9MM Caspian commander in my avatar. 281.480.3180
  15. Having gone through the Clinton years I learned a few lessons. Those shortages back then were far worse than what we have seen from the Obama administration SO FAR........ I keep a case of 5000 of all four primer sizes stached back in reserve. I never touch the reserve, just buy replacements and rotate stock. This keeps my anxiety levels pretty low. Some may consider this hoarding, I consider it as prudent as the three months of food stock I keep in the pantry or the spare tools and medical kit I keep in the truck.
  16. I have been extremely happy with Dawson Precision over the years. They have done work in their shop for me, I have bought plenty of parts from them and picked up one of their XDM 9mm pistols with the action job late last year. I have been 100% satisfied on every single transaction. I will be investing in one of their XDM mag wells and some basepads when they get to market with them. They are darn good folks to to business with. Rick
  17. I use 55 grain Wolf for the up close blasting targets and hand load 69 grain Sierra Match Kings for distance shooting. We typically only shoot to 2-300 yards at my local clubs. I zero with the Wolf and adjust hold an inch or two with the SMKs.
  18. This practice kept me in competitive shooting and got me through the Clinton years. I was really thrilled when I found a couple cases of those primers as there were absolutely no primers to be had anywhere for months on end. I still have a few thousand Federal SP magnum primers left from that time. As I recall, I backed off my 40 S&W loads by 5% and worked up slowly to major PF.
  19. Interesting post and a very informative video. Thank you for taking the time to post this. I am a novice video guy but I have a couple questions: 1. Can you feed the raw video directly from the camera? In other words, is the Adobe software needed to feed the input or is it just for editing purposes? 2. Can the Conture be utilized for Skype video chat as well? ( I have a new grandson over in Tampa)
  20. I just ordered one as well. This is my first step into airsoft too.
  21. I have two 550s that I bought used and in rough shape. I sent both back to Dillon and they did a great job. All missing or worn parts were replaced. As I recall, they only charged me for shipping and a couple extra die sets I ordered at the time.
  22. Replace the cotter pin in the chute with a large safety pin. I actually cut both ends off the pin and just bent the wire to fit. The rounded shape and steel composure of the pin makes a better bearing surface so the chute operates smoother. A Dillon rep gave me this fix at one of the NRA shows.
