  1. Let me state my question in a much simpler way... If a person was to permanently go from using a sight picture using the top of the front sight over POI to a new site picture of using the center of the fiber over POI, would they need to order a new front sight that was taller by the distance front the top of sight to center of fiber? 2. That wont work because I dont have a dawson sight on their now. The white dot on the factory sight does not correspond in location with the fiber on a dawson sight. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  4. Hi, I know how to calculate a correct front sight height to adjust for elevation, but in this case, I'll be going from big ugly factory white dot front sight to a dawson FO front. I aim with the red FO over my POI, but the white dot does not really correspond with the FO dot on a Dawson. So, should I shoot in it's current configuration with the top of the front sight splitting the bullseye, then do the normal math to figure front sight height, and add to that height the distance between top of sight and center of the Fiber on a dawson sight? It seems correct to me but I dont want to waste $40 on the wrong height sight. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  5. Cool idea, but the single screw holding the rear sight on the end of a tubing fork seems like a potential problem. It may be super solid. BUL isn't imported to the US yet, is it? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  6. I use a Blade Tech Pro Series Speed Rig holster. I absolutely love it, it works great. Ultra-fast, like a block style race holster, but with the security and simplicity of a kydex holster. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  7. Sell your 2011 and get a Tactical Sport, then your limited gun will never ever be out of commission. I guess that's not very helpful though... Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  9. SAR-USA is likely inquiring about the form, they dont have it yet. And I dont have the form either. Maybe I'm wrong and it's available on the USPSA website, but I don't think it is. Which would be yet another needless hurdle. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  10. This thread brings up an important point. There should be some mechanism for NROI to add pistols to the list without requiring the manufacturer to fill out some form. What if you have a company that has no real interest in filling out forms for an institution they have not heard of, or are too busy for? And what if, despite that, it is clear that the the pistol meets all the requirements, is widely available and has likely been produced far in excess of the required number? That pistol should be on the list, plain and simple. I'm going through this with SAR-USA trying to get the SAR9 on the list. It's the turkish military's sidearm, so it has the numbers, and it is basically a glock slide on a HK vp9 grip. It's a production pistol. I had been trying to get through to SAR-USA for a loooong time. Finally today they wrote back and said they tried to contact Troy and the email was coming back undeliverable. How much effort can I expect SAR-USA to put into getting this on the production list? These guys likely have no awareness of USPSA, they are an importer in Chicago. They are giving the effort because a nobody emailed them begging them to do it, based on my claims that it could help sales if comp shooters used their product. I'll see if they follow through, I'm hopeful. The SAR9 is a promising striker fired pistol.
  11. The P120 will now be a Carry Optics pistol. The CZC universal dovetail mount went on with a little typical fitting. I'm looking forward to trying it out! The p120 has proved 100% reliable over time, and every time I pick it up I'm like, dang, this is a quality piece! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  13. Ok, it sounds like you aren't limp twisting, so you can probably rule grip out. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  14. Thank you so much!!! That was incredibly helpful and exactly what I needed. Thanks again! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  15. Still looking for measurements, specifically: Diameter of GR where it sits against barrel, diameter of hole in the end of a glock slide, & diameter of the recessed hole on the inside of the slide. Help a brother out? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  16. The shop didn't have a g34/5 on hand, and I no longer own my old g35 so I couldn't try it. How much longer is that guide rod? I could trim any of your guide rods down to my SAR9s max length of 3.32x", as long as the head is close in diameter, and as long as the recessed hole or thru-hole in a glock slide is similar for your bushing. I've already got a 13lb wolf spring ordered. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  18. I've seen grip cause this. Possibly have a good Limited major shooter shooter see if it has any issues for him in your ideal configuration. I could be very wrong, of course, but it's very possible. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  19. Point being, I'd like to go jager again if it will work. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  20. Hi Guys, I have a project gun here, a SAR9, that I think will be a fun sleeper production pistol. The top end is EXTREMELY gen4 glock-ish, and I need to get an appropriate rate RS into it. At the shop when I picked it up, we tried a g17 RS in it and it was about 1/16" too short to touch & stay in place. Can you guys look at these dimensions and tell me how this is different, if at all, from standard glock? I used to shoot a g35 gen4 in limited with a captured jager guide rod. Before the jager I had a lone wolf rod with adapter and it caused all sorts of issues. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  21. Raising the rear of a sight that is 1.5" long by .02" should have raised your poi 12" or so. If you had no change at all, something is super weird. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  22. I would get the typical footwear for sports played on the same surface you shoot on. Here in Colorado, its mostly hard gravelly surfaces. I wear soccer turf shoes in the summer, they are incredible for grip, yet have a rubber bottom that grips wooden stage props just fine. Not as comfortable as trail running shoes, but I'm fine with it. Cleats can get clogged with mud just like anything else, and the kind of cleats that are really good for mud would be hell on your feet in the dry areas, I think.
  23. search for "ipsc dryfire" on your youtube app on your roku or whatever. There are a bunch of dryfire videos that will give you a warmup. The distance of your transitions will be small, so there is a limit to how helpful these can be.
  24. Theres a big difference between figuring out the division you really want to be in and changing, and just switching divisions all the time. No one is advocating for the latter. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
