  1. I think a 1/2 drill would damage the carbon fiber. Open up the small hole to 1/2" with a carbide dremel bit.
  2. Tool question - what did you use to grind it down? My file and sandpaper approach didn't do much...Dremel is next on my list. I used my milling machine, then cleaned it up with a file and sand paper. I would be careful with a Dremel they can eat away at the aluminum pretty quickly.
  3. With all the trigger components and new sights I figure around $250-300.

    CZ CTS Sights

My TS .40 had the .120 rear notch. Maybe older models vs newer models.
  5. So technically if I replace an SP 01 Shadow upper with a 75 Shadow upper it's legal. No safety mechanisms have been eliminated. "It's not what you know, it's what you can prove."

    CZ CTS Sights

Yeah, yours was opened up. From the factory the rear notch is .120" wide.
  8. I had a heck of a time getting TC lead bullets to run in my Tac Sport. I'm using 200gr bear creek moly coated TC bullets. I started out loading to 1.120 and every round would jam, so I started shortening the rounds .010 at a time with no luck. Then I got a Lee bulge buster and ran my brass through that. I loaded those rounds to 1.100 and I could get 3 out 4 rounds to chamber. Then I got the idea that the shorter rounds may be making the problem worse because it allows the round to get to a steeper angle before the bullet contacts the top of the chamber. I started making the rounds longer and ended up settling on 1.125 OAL and it ran 100% My final load is 200 gr Bear Creek TC 1.125 OAL 4.3 gr WSF 170 PF Not sure if this will help but it may give you some ideas.

    Part ID

No spring on the right side, the sear cage holds it in place.
  10. That is an impressive P-09 and some impressive shooting.
  11. Yeah, the CZC extended pase pads are the way to go. I have two mags with them, and the mags with the factory base pads are just on the belt for emergencys.
  12. I have only had my TS for a couple of months so I'm not sure how long the factory pads will last once they have been trimmed.
  13. It's probably easier to just take the material off of the base pads. I removed a good amount of material from the mag well and still had to trim the base pads to make them seat.
  14. You measure the length of the part of the lifter that contacts the trigger bar. The CGW will be shorter, that's what helps reduce the reset. From the pic the one on the left looks like the CGW.

    off center light hits

Take a look at her SP 01, mine will drop the hammer all the way back to where the take down marks are lined up. Another member brought it up in this thread. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=194513#entry2155999
  16. What kind of oil are you using on the disco, and trigger bar contact points?
  17. So would you recommend going back over it and trying to polish it some more or polishing some other places on it. Or it is just the way the pre-Bs are spec'd? Could you post a picture showing the the spot in the trigger pull that is giving you trouble?
  18. Have never tried it but walnut media might work on the polymer. http://m.harborfreight.com/25-lbs-fine-grade-walnut-shell-blast-media-92155.html?utm_referrer=direct%2Fnot%20provided

    SP-01 Tactical questions

With the factory 18 round mags you could probably pick up an extra round with the spring and follower kit. If you use the factory 18 rounder with the CZC extended base pad and the spring and follower kit you can get up to 23 rounds.

    Nope

I understand it perfectly, but of course 2+2= potato.
  21. At the CA State IDPA championships a couple of years ago one of the stages was a single headshot at 20 yards limited vickers. Glad I decided to shoot ESP that year. Those are some of the tough IDPA stages you get to look forward to if you are shooting SSP with a DA pistol.

    SP-01 Tactical questions

For 3 gun I run the Mec Gar AFC 19 round mags with the CZC spring and follower kit in them, they will hold 21 rounds.

    SP-01 Tactical questions

I run a 13# hammer spring in my SP 01. You can polish the snot out of everything and have a reliable gun at 11.5# but I sleep a little better with the 13#. For around $25 an extended firing pin and lighter firing pin spring is cheap insurance. A comp hammer is a nice upgrade and well worth the money. Cajun Gun Works makes some nice kits for the FPB guns to shorten the reset. They also make a short reset disco for those guns. For sights I like the CZC tactical rear and FO front.

    New 75 Shadow

Once you stake the pin, run the area over some 600 grit sand paper on top of a flat surface to remove any high spots created from the staking process.

    Sight Bite

Here are a couple of options.
