Take the mag apart and see if just the mag tube will drop free in slide lock. If it will then the follower is the issue. If it still gets stuck you know it something with those tubes.

Remove the slide, slide stop, and grips. Then try to drop the mags, with all of those parts off you might be able to see where they are catching.

Looks great, what type of finish did you use on the frame/slide, and on the grips, hammer, ect?

My only problem with this is that none of my mags, AFC19 or stock CZ will lock back on the CZC10 spring. I am wondering if that's because I shoot a CZ85. They don't lock back in my SP 01 either, the loss of the slide lock is the price you have to pay for the couple extra rounds.

I use the pinch method ( grab hammer with weak hand thumb and fore finger and lower it ). I'm not secure enough as a man to try the cowboy method.

I was able to 21 rounds in the Mec Gar AFC 19 by installing the CZC 10 spring and follower kit.

Do the Mec Gar AFC tubes work with the CZC extended base pads?

Here are the production requirements for SSP, IDPA does not have an approved gun list so I'm not sure how they verify this. 8.2. Firearms - Divisions 8.2.1. Stock Service Pistol Division (SSP) 8.2.1.1. Handguns permitted for use in SSP must: 8.2.1.1.1. Have a minimum annual production of 2,000 units. Discontinued models must have had a total production of 20,000 units.

It would make it illegal as an SP 01 shadow. You would have to check with CZC if the production numbers have been met as a target model. 2000 per year, or 20,000 total production.

Defiantly some of the nicest CZ's I've seen.

If your just looking to shoot for fun and practice I doubt anyone at a club match would notice or care. It would only be an issue at a sanctioned match.

Full length dust covers are legal in the SSP division, I have shot an SP 01 in IDPA for years. The thing that makes your gun illegal is the Novak rear sight. 8.2.1.3.1. Sights may be changed to another notch and post type but slides may not be machined to accept different style sights in SSP.

To locate where the holes need to be disassemble the mag, turn the tube upside down and load 9 rounds letting gravity hold them in the proper position. Take a measurement from the #9 bullet to the bottom edge of the mag tube. Then load the 10th round and repeat the measurement. Split the difference between the two measurements and that will give you the proper placement for the hole.

Here is a screen cap from the CZC website showing the specs for the different grips. The thick AL grips are .2" thinner that the factory rubber or plastic. I like the wider grip so I run factory plastics that have been stippled.

Yeah, the Mec Gar 19 round mags fit the 140 gauge no problem

Does anyone know any retailers that ship Tactical Sport mag repair kits to CA? Exile Machine has been the only one I could find that carries them, but .40's are out of stock.
