We highly value the warranty that Sig provides for their optics, in particular, the Romeo 3 Max and XL. Glad to pay a higher price to have that level of support for something that is subject to a lot of abuse.

Another consideration is also where to shoot there. The Anchor Point range is open limited hours, the Kenai/Solditna range is quite far, and the gravel pit east of town is pretty far, with weather making for a short season. Otherwise, Homer is a great town.

What is next, will USPSA try to trademark "PPS" (points per second), and "SDT" (score divided by time?

Friend of mine was told that Holosun realized this, and has increased the 2 moa dot intensity on red optics by 30 percent.

We put a Romeo 3XL on using a Springer plate. Fits in many 320 X5 holsters, but ordered a Red Hill.

These are completely different optics, display size wise.

Brightness on the red 6 moa Holosun dots is fine, based on having a 407K, EPS and EPS Carry with 6 moa dots. The 509T in red is 2 moa on dot only, and not as bright as I prefer in strong sunlight.

SimonM if you would prefer a red 507 Comp, I would be happy to trade my like new red for your green one.

When I compare a red and green 507 Comp side by side, I can't detect any difference in the shape or quality of the 2 moa dot. Clearly different eyes perceive the dot differently. What I can easily see, is that the green dot is effectively three clicks in intensity brighter than the red. In bright sun with sunglasses, the red 2 moa dot on the 507 Comp is too dim for me. Same with the 509T. The other reticles on the red 507 Comp are bright, just not the 2 moa dot.

I have had the Romeo 2 for about a year and it really has not grown on me like I thought. It turns out I prefer other optics like the 509T and EPS full size for sealed emitter use, and the Romeo 3 Max and 507 Comp for gaming use. When I tried it on a Glock MOS, it sat ridiculously high. It is neither dish nor fowl for me.

The SRO is brighter than the 507 Comp on the 2 moa dot, in the red model. The green 2 moa dot on the 507 Comp is much brighter.

My wife recently had a detonation and the first clue she had, was while watching the dot lift, the lens departed the Romeo 3 XL! She is still picking bits of tungsten out of her face. Doubled charged "factory" round.

The DA pull on mine is just over 9 pounds, SA feels good. If I wanted to reduce the DA, and maintain full reliability, is 15 the way to go, and is the part the same as for a regular Shadow 2? Anything else I would need to change?

A Wheeler laser sighter is very useful in setting up a red dot, and confirming zero hasn't moved.

At a match on Sunday, a friend asked me to check his classification percentage on 18-01. His hit factor was 4.3 and he was shooting open. The classification calculator said that was a 70% run. I checked it for carry optics, and that same hit factor would result in an 85% classifier. Then I looked at limited optics, and it would be 55%. Later I went to the USPSA website, thinking, perhaps the app was off, and it had all the same percentages. This makes absolutely no sense, with the same hit factor being 15 percent lower for LO compared to open.

Just got a 507 Comp green and it is WAY brighter on the 2 moa dot than red!

I mostly use the 2 moa dot. In low sun angles, I go to the 8. The 2 isn't as bright as the other reticles on the 507 Comp, and is nowhere near as bright, for example, as a Romeo 3 Max. I have heard the 2 is brighter on the green version of the Comp, but haven't verified that.

I think it is important to remember that a lawsuit is one side's version of events. Once USPSA lawyers up, they will surely have defenses, including that despite some initial confusion, and correspondence with the local sheriff, out of an abundance of caution and at great expense, they moved the event across the country to Alabama. If I were in charge, I would be unbanning a number of people, in exchange for an agreement to work in the best interest of USPSA. By now, USPSA's counsel will have advised all directors and employees to not destroy and maintain all email, text messages, other documents or social media posts relevant to Cameo and the terminations. This is going to be expensive and uncomfortable, and all should consider settling this.

Most rational parties would rather settle than have a third party decide an outcome for them. Filing a lawsuit is often just another tool in getting settlement leverage. You would expect USPSA to want to settle to avoid legal costs and distraction for the organization. The plaintiff will have to decide what they need to settle. however, if I was a board member, on a personal level, I would be very concerned about the allegation that I was trying to skirt a state firearm law.

Most cases settle, and only a small percentage go to trial. Not sure about in Ohio, but it is a two to three year process to get to trial in many state courts. This isn't good, but seems highly unlikely to tank the organization.

While a complaint is only one side's version it doesn't appear frivolous and almost certainly cost five figures to put it together.
