  1. Most rational parties would rather settle than have a third party decide an outcome for them. Filing a lawsuit is often just another tool in getting settlement leverage. You would expect USPSA to want to settle to avoid legal costs and distraction for the organization. The plaintiff will have to decide what they need to settle. however, if I was a board member, on a personal level, I would be very concerned about the allegation that I was trying to skirt a state firearm law.
  2. Most cases settle, and only a small percentage go to trial. Not sure about in Ohio, but it is a two to three year process to get to trial in many state courts. This isn't good, but seems highly unlikely to tank the organization.
  3. Link to the lawsuit from another forum. The complaint is only 20 something pages, where with exhibits it is 268 pages. While a complaint is only one side's version it doesn't appear frivolous and almost certainly cost five figures to put it together. Likely filed on day one of Nationals for maximum impact. https://www.slideshare.net/PracticalShootingIns/rutkowski-v-uspsa-et-al-2023-260739081
  4. Does that mean shooters in other divisions switched to LO?
  5. I had it in my head to never stop myself, but in retrospect, I guess I should have stopped myself and forced a restart? Shooting open, I wear amplified ear plus with a MSA Sordin over the plugs, and leave that turned off.
  6. A month or so ago, I was beginning a classifier stage from a seated position. I reacted to a noise from the next bay, thinking it was my beep, by lifting my fingers from my knees, and then the RO hit the button. I semi froze and then not hearing anything continued. Lots of discussion ensued, and I was given a procedural for "creeping." A first for me and frankly everyone I know. My belief was that the RO should have stopped me and restarted me. Thoughts?
  7. It is hard to discuss pistols and not magazines. MecGar CZ, MecGar 320 and Glock magazines strike me as more reliable than 2011 mags with 9mm ammo.
  8. So far, there seems to be a lot of limited optics activity, and enthusiasm. That said, based on reliability issues, I have been observing, the killer LO gun may be a well vetted CO pistol. Also, in pure performance, while the LO pistols split well, my friends, who are good shooters, are shooting their LO guns worse than the CO pistols they were shooting. And they are good shooters.
  9. Anyone with insight why he switched from the 17 to the 47 this year? The 47 started as a CBP pistol, but I would imagine a world champion picks his gear based on performance.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if there is enough interest in shooting dot pistols, over time, that we end up with production optics with lighter weight carry oriented pistols, CO as we know it now, and Limited Optics.
  11. I experienced a similar problem with a few polymer Rivals. Not something you notice with 140 mags that don't lock back.
  12. At this point, if I had to choose between a USPSA President that is a: RO in good standing very knowledgeable about the details of LO, flashlights and dremel tools liked by everyone OR has the ability to quiet the drama, mend fences with the members at large, and shine a light on any special arrangements or deals, I will take this person all day long. USPSA is a great sport with an organization that seems to have gotten out of sync with the members at large!
  13. I think we can all agree that removing the President is significant. What I would like to know is the following: What was the complaint. Who made the complaint. Did they have any communication with Troy or Board Members prior to making the complaint. Who made the decision to pull the President's RO credentials. Was that done solely by Troy or in consultation with some or all of the Board. Was remedial action short of pulling the RO credential considered. What were the deliberations of the Board concerning this termination. How was the time period for nominating new candidates decided.
  14. They replace defective units -- I consider their support of the R3 Max/XL to be excellent.
  15. Believe it is 2 moa dot and 32 moa circle on the 507C.
  16. The draw is good -- it was sticky with the Rival polymer SM holster.
  17. Back in stock https://store.teamglock.com/gun-parts/glock-performance-trigger.html
  18. The Rival feels so much better than a Walther in the beaver tail area. This picture shows the difference in design.
  19. My Smoky Mountain for the polymer Rival seemed OK without modification but them was sticky at the range. I was looking at the Canik thinking of its Walther heritage, and tried a Comp Tac International PDP 4.5 holster I had, and the Rival steel fits great.

    PDP Pro

The trigger in the Pro is the Walther Dynamic trigger. It can also be used in the PPQ and steel frame models. It is flat faced and breaks further forward than the stock trigger. I like it. While that trigger comes in the Pro, you can buy it for $179 on the Walther website, but it is usually on back order.
  21. I would be more worried about the ER than the DQ.
  22. With about 30,000 of those USPSA members all trying to register for CO Nats! Kidding aside, can you provide links to both USPSA and IDPA membership numbers, as I searched and couldn't find that info. IDPA is surprisingly large to me.
  23. Someone recently told me that IDPA's membership is greater than that of USPSA?
  24. What is the problem for CO?
