  1. Now that I have a chrono and access to a location I can shoot outdoors I am going to get some test loads worked up in the next few weeks. When done I will report my results be they good or bad. Joe W.
  2. Holy fudgesticks!! October of 2010??? Where the heck has all this time gone? This weekend I WILL make the time to shoot photos of how mine turned out. I didn't resize the grips any or do any undercuts, just added texture with an iron and have been shooting it for years now and love it! Joe W.
  3. Last Friday I won a brand new, tricked out SP01 to go with all the 9mm ammo I have had rat holed for the last few years. Finally I can burn up that ammo that has been sitting around and taking up space in my reloading are. Our club holds a Members Appreciation Match in December and every year CZ has helped us with great deals on guns, this year I finally won one. HUGE thanks goes out to the fine people at CZ and all the others that helped make our match the huge success it has become. Heck, we were blessed with a donation from Brian Enos along with 36 other companies. Thank you so much Brian!!! If you ask me, the USPSA shooting community is the best anywhere. Joe W.
  4. Show them how it's done in Canada! Just called the post office customer care *eye roll* and when I asked why my package is going from here to WV via Californaia the young lady couldn't even grasp that it has added several days to the shipping time. Morons!!! Joe W.
  5. Winning a brand new, decked out CZ SP01 and having to wait a full week before I can shoot it for the first time. ALSO, shipping some parts from Kansas City to West Virginia and finding out via the tracking number that it is making a stop over in Santa Clarita, California. Because we all know that the quickest way to get from Kansas City to West Virginia is by way of California!! Joe W.
  6. OMG!!! I so need to print this stuff out to share with some of the mall ninjas at our club but I don't think Micro Center has that much ink in stock. ROFL Joe W.
  7. Cliff Walsh by any chance? Joe W.
  8. ROFL Many MANY beers had to go into the sending of gold painted rocks so many times. Love it! Joe W.
  9. LOL It was a tough one, Charlie Mike at 75 but had the right number of holes on the rest of the targets. Sadly they weren't all A hits but I will take what I can get. lol Joe W.
  10. American Shooters had them when I went to pick up my Nationals ammo in Vegas. I should have picked up a few of them. lol Joe W.
  11. Lots of great info here. I just got my first 9mm and look forward to testing out some of these loads. Joe W.
  12. I have noticed lot to lot differences as well. But after some talking with Hodgdon they have confirmed that the powder is inverse temp sensitive. It isn't too bad but enough you will want to keep an eye on the chrono readings during the year, be sure to make note of the temp. When it comes to reloading, information is your friend. Joe W.
  13. I know what you mean. We sure as heck didn't see anything over 25 yards at the Nats this year. When I shot the KS Sectional this year we had a standard with two rounds in four seconds on a 75 yard target. Four rounds in four seconds on a 50 yard target. Six rounds in four seconds on a 25 yard target. For the most part I am shooting targets inside of 20 yards at the local indoor range. Joe W.
  14. I guess I have too much time on my hands. And I have clean primer pockets. lol Joe W.
  15. Grumpy, if you ever make it out to the Kansas City area drop me a message, we have a pin club that meets every Wed night and a USPSA club that meets every Friday. Joe W.
  16. You can now get the CR Speed belts with hot pink or purple trim as well as pink and purple mag pouches. Welcome to the crazy world of Open! Joe W.
  17. You got that right. Most people see that huge pin and just throw lead at it. But you are right, the sweet spot to hit on those pins is the size of a 12 ga shotgun hull. The club I shoot with just had our 25th anniversary this year, the oldest pin shooting club still around. Our club shoots on 4x8 tables placed 25 feet from the shooting line to the front edge of the table. Two or three shooters at a time are started with one of the R U Ready timers and the timer stops when the last pin hits the ground by a person hitting a button as the last pin touches ground. There are tons of events that we shoot, regular five pin tables with Major set 6 inches from the front edge of the table, Minor is set half way back on the table and .22 are set 12 inches from the rear of the table. From there you have 8 pin revolver, 9 pin auto, shotgun, 10 pin hostage *a pair of target pins placed behind a single no shoot pin with 2 seconds added to your time for each no shoot you hit*, pin tops for the .22s, pin bottoms, team events and the list goes on from there. TONS of assorted games you can play. When I get a chance I will be re-adding the videos to our clubs web site as well as get the printable targets up as well. Feel free to check the site out, there is even a copy of the rules as we play the games you can read through. http://pinblasters.tripod.com Joe W. Damn! I want to come shoot pins with you guys! We do the pin tops for 22's every once in a while....Our table is usually set up at 15 yards. If you ever make it through the Kansas City area on a Wed night bring your guns, ammo and be ready for a good time. Check our web site a day or two before you head out and check to see what events we will be running while you are here. Nothing to join, no requirements other than you can safely handle the gun and are ready to have fun. You can shoot one event or all or anywhere in between, first event is $6 and $3 for each event after that. And we do pay back for the first few places. Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions. Joe W.
  18. It ain't fun but it happens to us all at one point or another. Joe W.
  19. I know a Marine or two that would love that one! Joe W.
  20. We have a winner!! Chuck, tell Flex what he's won!! Safe and easy solution to the issue. Joe W.
  21. Looks like many have beat me to this one!! lol Joe W.
  22. OMG!! Then wait for Jazz to show up? Good stuff. Joe W.
  23. Congratulations!! A real pair of cutie pies you got there. Fine Junior shooters in the making I am sure. Are we going to see a change in the tag under your icon here to Papa Boz? Congrats Boz. Joe W.
  24. ROFL Just have to ask, what program did you use to do the editing on this video? I like how it turned out. Joe W.
  25. To answer this statement I would ask him why he was using a holster he didn't feel safely held the gun. If you don't have faith in your gear, don't use it, right? Joe W.
