  1. Looking to give USPSA Single Stack a try and considering the SA RO Elite Operator. It's railed and I would want to also install a magwell, so I'm wondering if it would make weight? Anyone have experience with this combo?
  2. Taran's base pads fit the gen 5's. At least the +0 for the G19 do.
  3. I was wondering if anyone was going to mention Ameriglo sights. I have used the Hackathorn version (on a G19) which are great to about 15 yds at speed for A-zone hits, but really slow for upper panels. Have you found the I-Dots to be faster for tight shots?
  4. You can't go wrong with a GGI trigger, straight or curved. Consider going beyond just the trigger and get the competition kit. It's a snap to install and the pull is way better. Alma Cole has excellent videos on YouTube for installation.

    P320 X5 Thread

I also have had my grips done by Alma Cole with the silicon carbide aggressive texturing. Great craftsmanship and durability, highly recommended!
  6. My Rock River LAR-9 is extremely reliable and I use only Metalform mags. Literally zero failures in about 2,500 rds. The only downside to the Colt SMG pattern is reloading, which should be rare if you have extensions (I use TF +10's on 32 rd mags). In the case of classifiers with mandatory reloads the mags can be downloaded enough to relieve that tension.

    WTB P320 X5

Several have come available on GB.
  8. Comp-Tac on a Boss hanger. Works great for me. I've seen the RHT on the range and it looks very nice, only heard good things about them.
  9. I removed mine with 5/64". Fit perfectly. The screw is installed with loctite blue so it takes a little encouragement to get it started. Went to a Sig forum to find the size wrench to use as it's not in the factory info.
  10. Don't know about the plates, interested in the answer as well. EGW makes a dovetail mount for the P226, though.
  11. DA/SA just takes some getting used to. I had a Tanfo for production so that doesn't concern me. You completely understand why I'm looking into the P226 and X-Five, weight. I've read all the threads about what it takes to get a Tanfo in just barely under, as that was what I was looking into before learning about the X-Five. I liked the out-of-the box readiness. Then I saw the P226 RX while checking in with a shop where I'm on an X-Five waiting list, thus the question of the forum. Your point is good about not seeing the P226's out there, and I've observed the same. Wondering why.
  12. I'd either wait for the x-five or go with the p226. Not looking to run one then another unless I find a rich uncle...? I'm sure the 320rx is great, heck, Max won nats with that platform.
  13. Is anyone using the P226 RX for USPSA carry optics? If so, what do you think of it? Considering this direction with the short supply of P320 X-Fives.

    P320 X5 Thread

Any word on when more X5's are going to ship or intel on who may have them in stock?
  15. Great match, congrats on the win!! Which optic did you choose for your Walther?
  16. Not only do I appreciate the advice, it helps to know this issue is common.
  17. So my front sight (Dawson) loosened over time on my Stock 2. I removed it to clean up the sight slot and sight and found that there's a hole through the slide at the set screw detent. I cleaned everything up and installed the sight (no fiber yet), and the very end of the tiny set screw protrudes ever so slightly through the slide. Tough to tell how much quantitatively but enough that I can feel it. Advice please!!
  18. Thanks for the clarification. If I do the upgrade, the fpb will have to function as it will be used in level 3 matches.
  19. Agreed, this is a first class description, thanks! I've read some other threads on the Titan/Bolo install and have seen others needing to use the extended fpb. Were you successful using the standard fpb or did you use the extended version? Figuring you used the standard based on your parts list but wanted to make sure, thx!
  20. Game on! My instinct (and wallet) would agree.
  21. So then what do you think about spending an additional $200 or so in parts to improve a trigger (been wrestling with this for my current Stock 2). Practice with the hardware as is until effective with the plate drill above, or make the investment and then go after the drill? The investment would shorten reset, lower DA pull and travel, and marginally improve SA pull. Currently has only reduced hammer spring, aftermarket guide rod, and polishing. All else is factory original.
  22. Looking forward to seeing how that goes. Based on the videos you've posted so far, the transition was very smooth. I'm so impressed with how much you've acheived in such a short period of time. It hasn't been obstacle-free, either!!
  23. So what's your plan for WS? Are you going to run the Stock 2 or are you going to run the Walther?
