I grabbed a couple nuts that are larger than the threading of BT bolts. It's not obvious but they're in the picture I posted. Look for the only silver colored parts in the photo.
And here's a picture of what I did to modify my holster. Like CZinSC I dremeled a channel in the holster, quick and easy. Because of the thickness of the Nitro-fin, I needed to insert spacers so that it would clear the Tech Lok. Fits perfectly. Wouldn't work with my Boss hanger unless I wanted to cut some steel (or buy longer fasteners, and do the same thing with spacers between the holster and hanger).
Just installed mine. Fits the gun perfectly. Aesthetics are very nice. With only a few reps my support thumb lands in just the right place and the sight alignment is on the money. I plan to mod a Bladetech holster similarly to make it fit. As CZinSC says, this will not lock the slide on the last round. Looking forward to taking it for a test drive tomorrow!!
That's the plan. I just bought a factory magwell and grips from another forum member, which should be here in about a week. Then it's time to get prepared for Area 1 in about 2-1/2 months.
I am planning to try running a Glock 19 for Carry Optics. Living in Washington state, it can get wet. What is the best cover for this size of pistol with an rmr?
I had very good luck with MG 147's and N320 at 1.125 OAL. Flat, soft, and accurate. Same same with MG 124 JHP's and N320 at 1.125 OAL, just a little more snappy. Factory barrel.
So I have a Stock 2 in .40 coming, which will be better for limited (major PF). Appreciate the info on the magwell, that's the direction I'll go, what grips do you recommend? EGD for large frame, Henning custom, ... ?
I switched from 147's to 124's for my Stock II's recently Gump, and really like them. I'm running Montana Golds and using N320 so my data won't really help you, but I think you're going to like the 124's for exactly the reason you're wanting to switch. Cycles fast and drops in the notch consistently.
That's why I'm looking for a Stock 2 in .40. I have a pair in 9mm and would like to try limited, but don't want to be crushed by minor power factor scoring. I know, I know, just shoot all Alphas and you don't have to worry about it..... Right. Having one in .40 keeps me on the same familiar platform. Nothing against the 2011's, they're great. I just like the Tanfo platform.
