  1. It's good to have two, especially in the travelling scenarios discussed above. I have not needed my backup Stock 2, but it's best to be prepared. You don't want to be smithing between stages if you don't have to. I made the same switch you did "from Glock to Stock". At first i thought I'd just bring a separate rig and have a Glock for a backup, but that's quite a plarform change at a level 3 match. (BTW, you ARE good enough to go to bigger matches like your area match. I'd encourage you to take that step.) The only issue I have with buying two was I did this pretty close to the peak of Stock 2 "unicorn" pricing. That's not the case anymore.
  2. Thx!! After reading so many threads about this, it seems like the MBX is a good way to go. I picked up a 51738 and have just the factory mag that came with it.
  3. Nightops, Did you buy the MBX for para or sti?
  4. Wecome to the forum from Western Washington!! I too just picked up a RIA Pro Match .40 and have the same questions as you.
  5. Also, could I take the guts of a modified Stock 2 in 9mm and drop them into a .40?
  6. Great question Honeybooboo, I was wondering the same thing. Really like my 9's, but a .40 could be used for limited as well and not pay the price for power factor.
  7. Have a spare. Haven't needed it but have a buddy who travelled over 1000 miles to a big match, his gun went down with a major failure and he was done. I learned from his unfortunate experience...
  8. I like the DAA Racemaster pouches. I've used them both bullets forward and bullets out. Only thing is that you need to loctite them once you've got the position you like or they'll loosen over time. Not cheap, but look and function nicely.
  9. Now that there's an Xtreme disco available would you recommend it or the T3?
  10. Which model did you put the magwell on? I'm considering one for a Stock 2.
  11. One of the many reasons this forum is so great. Enjoy your new sights!
  12. The sights are easy to install. You'll likely need a small triangular file to get a great fit with the rear sight, and go easy on it. Remember to loctite. Good luck!!
  13. Ran orange sights for quite a while, tried green. Not going back!
  14. Has anyone done this yet? Would love to see a picture of the finished product.
  15. Trigger spring and pin, sear spring, and extractor spring and pin. Oh, and any of the other tiny parts you may be concerned about losing, like the hammer pin pin. Had a near miss with that one
  16. I have been to their shop, it's in NW Washington. Haven't purchased, though.
  17. I believe they are already on the approved list for USPSA production. They are.
  18. Looking close at the barrel on one of the pic on GB, it was stamped 9x21. Is this an issue at all?
  19. It's a 9 so I'm going to be dealing with the minor power factor scoring. At this point it's all I have. I wasn't planning on convering it to SA but that's an interesting thought. What are the advantages? I probably won't switch back and forth b/c I have two .
  20. Pro grip works great and a little bottle lasts a long time.
  21. I've been shooting Production with my Stock 2 and want to give Limited and/or L10 a try using the same gun. The one I'm looking at is the Henning Competition magwell. What are your thoughts about installing a magwell and would this be a good choice?
  22. Who makes the disco and sear you like, Gump?
