  1. Federal 124gr HST (not +P). I liked that TargetSports sold it in 50 round boxes rather than 25, and the price was reasonable enough to buy a case to practice with in each firearm that carried it.
  2. I picked one up last week that was manufactured in Oct 2022. I’ll have to work it out a little harder before making it my EDC. Installed a Shield RMSc 8moa glass optic on it yesterday. Gotta get it to the range to dial it in.
  3. Another vote for a mesh tarp/netting. I paid $30 for a 10x12 at Lowes.
  4. I just checked mine and my kids holsters, we have BladeTech Classic's, and I don't see how it won't work. These pics are of my Gen5 G34 MOS with SRO attached. How much bigger is the BROS???
  5. I wanted a 10 round Carry Optics Division, or Production with Optics.
  6. if 98% of us can’t grasp the concept, and many of us are shooters and ROs who have been doing this for a while, then maybe there is something wrong with the concept.
  7. Have you looked at the CompTac International? That doesn’t appear to touch anywhere near the optic.
  8. Anyone familiar with the area? I expect to be down there for a bit in about 6 months and would like to get in some range time while I’m there. Thanks, Cuz
  9. I’ve got a couple thousand rounds through mine so far, still loving it. Haven’t cleaned it yet either. Don’t plan to until it stops working.
  10. Does anyone know if George shot it this way intentionally, or if it was an accident? Just wondering…
  11. At the very least, I just don't see how you can talk your way out of at least 1 procedural for the extra shot before the required reload: 10.2.4 A competitor who fails to comply with a mandatory reload will incur one procedural penalty for each shot fired after the point where the reload was required until a reload is performed. The WSB says it's a mandatory reload after engaging targets with 2 rounds each. Seems very clear to me.
  12. I would assess 2 Procedurals: One for not following the WSB: 10.2.2 A competitor who fails to comply with the procedure specified in the written stage briefing will incur one procedural penalty for each occurrence. One for the extra shot before the required reload: 10.2.4 A competitor who fails to comply with a mandatory reload will incur one procedural penalty for each shot fired after the point where the reload was required until a reload is performed. After the penalty assessment, I would let you bitch and moan, and dance a jig if you wanted, for about 5 minutes then politely offer you the option to accept it and move on, or pack up and go home. The 2nd person to attempt the same thing will have less than 30 seconds to bitch and moan before being offered the same two options. As has been mentioned before, if the stage being discussed can be shot the way it was shot with no penalties assessed, then there is a problem with the rules, and NROI, and they should be addressed and fixed.
  13. I've tried looking at this again, and I can't see any way that it's not 2 procedurals as has been mentioned multiple times. If you came and shot this stage as discussed above at a level 1 match where I was an RO, you would be assessed 2 procedurals and the only thing you would gain if you argued a bit too much is a DQ for unsportsmanlike conduct after the normal few minutes of bitching/griping we generally allow. I just can't see it any differently, and I don't think a want to see it any differently. Not being assessed any penalties for not following the WSB will cause this sport to deteriorate further than it already is. It may be time to focus on my Trap game...
  14. I don’t have the rules handy, or the time to look them up at the moment, but if the WSB says fire 2 at each target, reload and fire 2 at each target, why wouldn’t it be 2 procedurals. 1 for an extra shot before the reload, and 1 for not firing enough shots after the reload? I’ll dig into the rules after work.
  15. This. And also one with an overtravel stop built into the housing. The JG Vex trigger shoe also looks like an interesting addition. I may wait a few months and see how everyone else likes them. I have a habit of jumping in too fast with my money and making some purchases I regret. with regard to Timney reliability, my Timney has been totally, reliably sitting on a shelf collecting dust since about a week after I bought it.
  16. But of course. But it will have a lot to do with how the trigger reset feels/works. If it works out, I’m going to need at least a couple of these.
  17. Noooooooo!!! Forget about the comp. If you want an Open gun get yourself the TX-22 Competition. The P322 is perfect as a Carry Optics rimfire. Although heavier would be a little better…
  18. Yup. After trying all of the above mentioned plates on my G34, I bought a regular G17 and sent it out to get milled. Couldn't be happier. But, if you already have the MOS slide, then I preferred the FCD plate.

    17 Preference

If it's just a competition gun/range toy, I'd recommend getting it milled all the way back and doing away with iron sights altogether. I have a 34 MOS, and after shearing plate screws twice, I got a regular gen5 17 and had it milled all the way back. With iron sights in Production, it was a 34 for many years, but now in CO I seem to prefer the "feel" of the 17, not quite sure why.

I have the thick Carver rod in my Gen5 17 and 34, I like them. If you're ordering springs from Wolff.com, might as well grab at least one 11 lb spring just to see if you like it. You may be surprised. But, they 13 or 15 is probably where you'll eventually end up.
  21. I agree, and fussed with mine until I got it working properly, but even then it was an annoyance, so I ended up removing it. But, IVC is correct, it should be an informed decision.
  22. Wondering if anyone has any info on the SKB 90TSS Trap O/U shotgun? Seems cheap enough to pick up as a spare for when one of the kids or a friend wants to come try trap. I like that it has an adjustable comb and buttstock so it can be adjusted to fit practically anyone. I figure if I get it with a 30" barrel it can be used for pretty much any clay game.
  23. Damn, save your money in the mini mags and spend it elsewhere. My P322 shoots the cheap bill ammo with no problems at all. And, yes, the AC trigger is very nice.
  24. I’ve tried at least a half dozen, and the Vanek was my favorite in Gen3 Glocks. For some reason in my Gen5 I’ve been using the Apex kit and the MCarbo lightened springs and am happy with this combo.
