  1. I haven’t tried those. The good news is there’s at least 8 different coated bullet manufacturers out there. It’s interesting to read in some of the other posts why people choose one over the other. During covid I was more willing to try whatever I could get my hands on. Now, I’m less likely to buy a case of a different brand just to try them out as long as I know I can get a brand I already know works well for me. I didn’t care for that “experimental phase” and don’t want to go through it again. The truth is I’m sure every brand is plenty good enough for most of the games we play.
  2. Nothin has to try very hard to beat the Glock 44. I’m solidly in the camp of Glock fanboy, but I’ll be the first to admit that I consider the Glock 22 to be a total failure for how I wanted to use it. I didn’t want a G19 trainer. I wanted a decent sized 22 with a decent trigger that I could mount a red to on. I can’t get mine to run reliably. I’ve switched to the Taurus TX22 platform and am very happy with it. The Sig looks interesting and if it will run with a Holosun dot I’ll probably pick up one or two of them as well.
  3. If you are referring to my question about the worn striker spring, would I have to replace just the striker springs, or could I swap the whole firing pin assembly, so I don’t risk losing any of those pesky striker spring cups? Then again, could I just swap the whole top end slide assemblies? I guess the point of my question was more to help me understand where the line is. I think it’s more about preventing someone from swapping guns to gain an advantage. with regard to an identical primary and backup gun, how many parts can you swap before one becomes the other? All but the actual frame I suppose. I was only asking because I find it easier to bring a second gun to a match than a bunch of spare parts. If something starts to go wrong with one, I don’t want to troubleshoot it at a match, I’d rather just swap guns, and then worry about what went wrong after I got home.
  4. You would be right to do so, and if the rest of the squad didn’t join in as well, I would know I was in the wrong squad. :)
  5. My velocity ranges from 1025-1065 fps. It's all minor PF with a 124 or 125gr projectile. For a while last year it was actually easier to get MG and Precision Delta Jacketed than it was to get coated bullets from one of my preferred brands. I've now tried 4 or 5 different coated bullets, and while they all work, I find I like Precision better than the others. I'm not saying they ARE better, just that I seem to like them better. The price is reasonable too.
  6. I have these and the Range Panda's for the SRO and Holosun 507c and 510c. They both work well. The only advantage I found is that the Range Panda offers a version for the SRO on a milled slide that fits a little better than the Dream Plastics version if the dot is below the slide. If I had to lose one at the range, I'd rather it be the Dream Plastics version over the range panda version. Plus, Range Panda offers better color choices.
  7. With regard to a firearm becoming “unserviceable”, my backup CO Glock gun is the same as my primary CO Glock except that it has a 0.5 lb stronger striker spring. If I were to experience a couple of light strikes during a stage, I know that between stages I could swap the striker spring assembly and continue the match. but would the light strikes make the gun unserviceable enough to be allowed to swap guns? At our local matches I know the answer is yes. But at a bigger match would I be required to swap parts to fix my primary gun before continuing?

    Glock 41 mag pouches

Don’t know about those pouches, but I ended up getting CompTac pouches and they work well.
  9. I ended up ordering two. One for my range bag and one for the reloading room. Expensive, but they do seem to be worth it. I couldn't figure out how to easily get the battery cover off with any other tool.
  10. I keep going back and forth between Precision coated and Montana Gold jacketed. I'm just loading my last case of Precision now, then I'll switch over to MG because I was able to score some here and there during covid, but in all honesty, once they are done I think I'm going to go back to Precision and stick with coated. There's just too much of a cost savings for me not to do it. I pretty much only shoot Glocks in minor PF and the same load in PCC so they are plenty good enough for me.
  11. Keep the reports coming. I'm especially interested in how well it runs with a red dot mounted on it, preferably something like a Holosun 407K. Thanks.
  12. Does anyone know when Glock made the change to the trigger bar?
  13. I will NOT be the first guy on my block to own one. But I'll probably end up with one eventually. It can't possibly be a worse .22 than my Ruger SR-22 or Glock 44.
  14. Very nice setup Johnny, once again, jealous as usual. Best I can hope for will be one center table that I can mount 2 or 3 presses on with walk around room. Although in the past couple of years I’ve only shot 9mm and rimfire, so more presses aren’t really needed.
  15. My kids and I have been using their Classic holsters for 15 years. They are worth every cent. However, I do NOT like any of their mag holders. Not sure why they can’t seem to make a decent pouch.
  16. I don’t know man, from here those Mikes looked like doubles. You should file a protest… I used to enjoy the ICORE matches back when I was shooting my 625 regularly. Haven’t shot one in well over 10 years.
  17. Damn, now that’s just showing off. Very jealous of that configuration. If I were to redo my loading space that would certainly work better than what I have now, and it would offer the ability to add presses in the future. Very nice setup.
  18. Yeah, well, I was never very good working with wood anyway... The 4" Inline Fab mount is installed and working great, so all is well.
  19. I don’t like the online format, I’d rather It was a .pdf. I prefer the printed version so I can read it away from my electronic devices. And I can leave it on the break room table when I’m done to spark interesting conversations.
  20. Thanks. He's out at the moment, won't have any for a couple of weeks.
  21. Do you mean the actual Apple App “Shortcuts”?
  22. Just wondering if you guys are still using this tool and how it’s holding up? is it really much better than just using a quarter to stick in the slot? thanks.
  23. I wouldn’t mind having the icon on my iPhone. Currently it’s the same “B” as my Brownells shortcut.
