I built up a fusion 9mm single stack. It was all STI parts. Frame, slide, barrel and bushing.
I purchased STI and a mix of other parts to finish up.
Not sure what the bashing would be about, it is all STI.
I avoid long range stages, they eat up too much time to paste and reset steel. The stage itself isn't too bad, but nothing you couldn't test at 20 or 25 yards.
I did pure 5x5 last year for six months then went to heavy power cycles with squat frequency at reduced levels. I took my dead lift up 80 lbs to 500. Squat went to 385 to 450. Bench. 295 to 325. I did add in more back and arm exercises then the 5x5 has listed.

I have invested heavily in surplus 223, bullets, brass, primers.
And I have a bunch of sv 38/9mm mags, and no open gun. I do have a a STI eagle in 9mm that i use them in.
At the walk through, run through the stage several times at actual shooting speed getting your foot work down. This will give you extra confidence and you will feel more comfortable. Don't shoot at 100% or above! Back it down and get your hits.
