  1. 12 pounds of brisket smoked 16 hours with hickory, homemade BBQ beans and cole slaw. Double IPA's in the cooler.
  2. I live right in the middle of Chicago Deepdish nirvana. Have not had any in over five years. It's out of pure survival since my doctor keeps telling me I need to lose 50 pounds and have heart disease in the family history. But you all are breaking my will power so this Friday is going to be deep dish night.
  3. Can't go wrong with the Phoenix, AZ area. You have Rio Salado and Phoenix Rod and Gun Club. Ben Avery is also a good place. Weather is mostly dry and temps are cool in the morning and general highs around 62 to 75 degrees.
  4. I use 180 gr. HPFMJ. Pricey but consistent accuracy. Before the MG bullets I used Frontier 180 gr. JFN that where less accurate than the MG's but cheaper. The Frontier are difficult to get. Never tried lead but my buddy shoots them using Titegroup like I do and his smokes a lot more from vaporized lead. Don't know if coated lead is much cleaner but a lot of people love them.
  5. Yes, I had the same problem with the racers. I have to take a Allen wrench to them before every match. I'm ready to loctite them.
  6. Our six year old German Shepherd goes without a leash. We are on 43 acres 80% wooded. Plenty of wildlife and a running stream. He is in his element and stays on the property. He likes it when we accompany him in the morning and afternoon but usually will go off on his own to play.
  7. I ordered the Pelican IM2400. Inside dimensions are about 18" x 13" x 6.7". $110 shipped from B&H. I can carry two competition guns and 12 magazines.
  8. Thanks, I will check them out.
  9. My Speedcross purchase from Aliexpress just took a turn for the worse. On the fifth wearing one of the speed laces pulled out of the connector. Had to order a replacement kit from REI. Still reserving final opinion till overall quality can be established.
  10. I am looking to purchase a Pelican case for my handguns for air travel. I have a 5" 2011 LTD and a XDm 5.25 each with six magazines. Which model would best fit these two guns plus magazines without a lot of crowding. I have looked at the specs online but like a lot of things personal experiences tell a lot more than a spec sheet. All the magazines are 140 mm.
  11. Is everyone who ordered from Aliexpress having these results? Just got my speed cross from Ali. I do not have anything to compare them to but the seem to be good quality and are comfortable.Only strange thing is the did not come in a box but packed in tight fitting plastic without any protection. Has anyone received theirs shipped this way?
  12. I skipped the six pack and went straight for the pony keg.
  13. My wife just asked me if I want an open gun for my birthday next month. I must have been a very good boy.
  14. I just started using one also and have the same issue. Tried lubrication and it still sticks. I only use it for assurance and have the crimp turned out of the way. Will try polishing.
  15. I wish someone would make their uppers and lowers with undersized rear takedown pin holes. Then we can finish ream them after assembly for a perfect fit.
  16. Was able to get 4# of N320. Picked up 10,000 WSP as long as I'm paying the hazmat.
  17. Get a longer set screw that has a nylon insert in the thread to keep the screw from turning itself out. McMaster-Carr should have them. There will still be a gap but should fix the rattle.
  18. Just kidding with the "photoshopped" comment. It's nice to see store shelves somewhere fully stocked for a change. No offense intended.
  19. Yup is normal when fired from Glocks since the case is not fully supported in the chamber. I use the Redding push thru sizing die before running them for reloading. No safety issue that I know of. As standard procedure I case gage all of my reloads.
  20. Welcome to the forum. Is IPSC a popular pistol sport in Sweden? Do you reload and if so how are the powder supplies over there?
  21. Our post office is not slated to be shut down but we do have a new postmaster. I have been getting brass delivered in flat rate boxes for years and never had a problem with tape wrapped boxes. The boxes where not overstuffed or heavy. I hope this problem does not spread. I am having any future brass purchases shipped to my brothers house.
  22. I emailed my app on 20 March. I think the app link was posted on the 19 th.My bad. I was checking but must have missed it. Are they doing a waiting list? I don't know for sure but I would send in an app and then try to get a hold of them and see what they say.Good luck, Chuck Thanks Chuck, sending it in tonight.
