  1. Cannot be a serious post. Lots of these lately
  2. Or not bother at all. Save some bandwidth on the www for cat videos or something
  3. I wonder how long he's been allowed to act like that? Something tells me you're not his first victim.
  4. Uggh. ASSuming you will still be able to get parts, I'd lean towards the Bul, as parts should be more readily available.
  5. I went through a lot of this back in the day. There are old posts on this topic. I don't know about bending that pin; they've got a cut in the middle that prevents them from walking out. Seems like bending it would break it. Loctite works for a little while. Someone took a decapping pin and put it in there. Another buddy took a nail (carpenter's?) of some type and put it in there. I switched from Bo-Mar to a different brand; the other brand had "better" pins that that didn't break. I think the other brand was Champion. I or my smith would stake them in; it was still broken in there but it wasn't coming out. I got so fed up with all the above that for a while all my limited guns had fixed rear sights.
  6. That's a "good" price and those primers have worked great for me. No issues at all.
  7. Thanks fellas. Don't know why this didn't occur to me sooner. If anyone has installation tips please reach out
  8. Is this a way to go? I've got some old timey cop guns that I don't want milled. There are some adapter plates that fit in the rear sight dovetail. Will this work?
  9. Tom confirming 2.5 MOA for CO?
  10. APTP 1/17 APITP 2/13 APITP 6/26 Dates are solid.
  11. That sounds awful. The few that have trickled in here have either gotten NO training, have been told to line the dot up with the front sight, or have two uppers for their duty gun and were told "just use whichever one you like." So, the idea of a laser coming out of the gun wouldn't surprise me.
  12. APITP times two and APTP times one. No dates yet.
  13. No clue! Won't know for a little bit yet; maybe June. Also curious to see how many Handgun Optics programs we get. I'll forget to respond here; I'm on global if I don't follow up with you here
  14. Law Enforcement Rifle Training Program. 5/23-5/27. FLETC Cheltenham, MD. LE Only Register at www.fletc.gov
  15. Shot about 5k of them so far with not a single issue; regular guns and a two basic Open guns
  16. I bought one of those extended switch covers; held in place with a little set screw. The added mass has solved the problem.
  17. This has become a circular argument. If it truly was the Indian:arrow argument, then let's just shoot heads up with no divisions. Christian S. or Nils could show up with a wrist rocket and a bag of marbles and crush our souls, so clearly it's the indian. But wait......I don't want to shoot my MRD 2011 9mm in Open because then I'd be shooting minor and that's not fair. But it IS fair to change the CO rules so I can take my arrow and shoot it against select other arrows and indians. It's the indian not the arrow as long as I come out ahead. If I don't come out ahead, then it's the arrow that's more important. Not looking to butt heads with anyone who's posted, just seems like this particular windmill spins around and around.
  18. Name the technique after yourself. Do youtube videos of you doing it while wearing desert tan or camoflague. You'll need a beard and sunglasses. Scowl a lot. You're welcome.
  19. @jimbullet do you shoot IPSC or USPSA? Are there differences in the rules for this type of thing?
  20. 2k/mo, maybe more for me. I struggle enough with the shooting that I want my gear to work, so maybe overkill.
  21. Depends on how much you are shooting. Recoil spring-Monthly Optic battery-Monthly Complete slide teardown-Monthly Frame tear down-probably every other month. Gun is cleaned every week. Mags-Complete redo 2x a year. I have "practice" mags that get beat up. Match mags 2x a year.
  22. My non-click switch on my C-more will dim the dot during shooting; usually only during hard pairs or bill drills. I do not see a replacement switch available. Any suggestions?
  23. Had one in 9mm for a bit; very nice gun. Rand great. Series 80 if that's important to you. Does not take a traditional 1911 extractor.
  24. If you have a inert/demo gun on the salesfloor it will help to remove the irons. What I'm seeing in my little slice of the LE world is that they think or they've been told to "put that dot on the top of the front sight." Infuriating. A metaphor I'm using is that the dot is a paintbrush, where has the front sight is a knife. Paint the target with your dot. Very very hard getting "front sight focus" people to change.
