  1. I've been through about every configuration possible The wrap around with prescription behind them don't work, they glare too easily. The progressive bifocal is too small and too low for pistol, rifle shooting. The bifocal along top is Ok, but again it forces you into odd postions and slows you down. What I like is to take your dominant eye and get it focused on front sight then the non-dominant eye get focused on infinity. I find it works well on rifles, pistols and shotguns. It also not that expensive Now for shooting glasses. There is a company that makes just shooting glasses with special frame that allows you to change the lenses, and adjustable nose bridge that lets you move center point of lenses up and down, plus holds the lenses further from face to prevent fog. Also has wrap around ear cables. I wish I could remember the name, they are on the internet. Regular eye glass stores won't tell you about them because they only sell direct to consumer. All usa made. Read about them in Tubb book. I got the lightest blu blocker. Which looks like tangerine orange. Really makes the colors stand out, and keeps iris closed which keeps your depth of field up. Plus it filters out the harmful blue rays. The trick is to get your eye doctor to figure out what scrip you need to keep front sight sharp. My doctor was a gun friendly gun and let me bring my pistol in and worked with me until I had just what I needed. Sorry my CRS, can't remember Sh*t is acting up this morning. So I can't give you the web site. Maybe it will come to me later today. Ah coffee kicked in, here is link http://www.sportglasses.com/
  2. My priorities weren't on the list Quiet! Good bed! reasonable clean. The rest I can live with
  3. IF we lose the doctor we might lose the Blond. I don't want that to happen! Looks like the captain of the Pegasus is a Clone!
  4. I get precision shooting would anybody like to trade back issues for Front sight? I've got like last 5 months of precision shooting, would like to trade for last 5 issues of front sight. We'd each pay the 4th class book rate shipping to each other. Threegun@att.net
  5. Beauty is skin deep Psycho is through and through and lasts forever!
  6. Remingtons low recoils are advertised at 1300fps, are they are pretty accurate and make a big difference in recoil. remember that K=mv2 that's velocity squared. So the drop from 1600 fps to 1300fps is a 45% drop in recoil.
  7. I liked the outcome from my builds. I had Frank White of Compass lake build a custom barrel on a Douglas stainless blank. My first one was a 18 inch with mid length gas tube of heavy contour. Later I decide to build a stag lefty upper so again back to CL but this time I wanted a light barrel, so I had one turned to .750. It is just as accurate as the heavy barrel and points faster. So do your research and get what you want. The assembly of upper is very easy. If you want a good book get Derrick Martin book from Accuracy speaks. It is pretty much a step by step book. I keep loaning mine out to people.
  8. The jigs work ok if your holes in frame are in the right place. However that is not guaranteed. Then I like the pins that you stick in the frame, with the collars on them that let you inspect the relationship between hammer and sear. Got mine from brownells, but you could make them out of drill rod. After all is said and done it still is a good Idea to put some blue parts and check the fit. May find your gun and jig don't agree. It hasn't happen alot, but when it does it will drive you nuts trying to figure out why your trigger job sucks this time when everything looks good on the jigs. Jigs are very helpful for holding the parts so you can make changes. The two trouble guns I ran into with not parrellel holes were a Colt 45 and Colt AR. Go figure! Both were early 90's guns
  9. It smells bad, dirty's the upper, bore is fine. Accuracy depends on guns chamber, but an average of about 1 1/2 to 2 at 100. Velocity used to be low, has been corrected some. Depends on batch you get. So if shooting past hundred zero your batch. You can pick up your cases with a roofer magnet! Ogive on the different rounds vary so buy small batch of each and see if one shoots better with your chamber, also past one hundred. It not going to compete with Black hills reloads.
  10. THe website is only good for checking stock and seeing new products if you don't get an update flyer. But Catalog 58 is full of errors, double listing of products with two different prices, stuff not listed in index. and Manufacture index has got errors also. Most amount of errors I've seen. Search misses obvious stuff or returns too much and then doesn't let you search among that group.
  11. Complete buttstock assembly for match rifle includes both AR-BP & AR-CP (or ARHWCP) as well as a special buffer tube that is a heavy steel body to aid in balancing the rifle. The stock is also 1-1/2" shorter than an AR buttstock. Includes shorter buffer and spring. (requires installing handle on bolt carrier) AR-BS 345.00 Same as the above AR-BS but without the cheekpiece. AR-BS32 220.00 yep it is a Medesha
  12. This is the EGW space stock, the pad and attachment is different. The part I'm interested in, and can't tell from photo's is the tube a shortened length compared to the standard buttstock tube. I want to be able to run a stock that about 2 inches shorter than A2 stock length of pull. Getting close to an answer. Thanks
  13. Here is a pic of ar 10 with buttstock I'm interested in. Anybody know where to get it.

  18. A company is selling a 2 inch thick cover for poppers that is suppose to make it possible to shoot the steel at any distance. IT is supposed to capture the bullet. Also suppose to last for thousands of rounds. Anybody tried this stuff yet. Would like to cover a 2/3 popper and use it as an activator for other things. Let me know
  19. Order on line, system says it in stock, invoice shows up in email. Call after a week and they say it not in stock. I even made a note not to back order. AGH!!! Then they had a snotty attitude when I called and asked if they knew when they would have stock.
  20. The edges of the tube slit are sharp, easy to cut fingers on also. Just take some sand paper and knock the edge off. I use car wax on them to slick them up and not attract dirt. Works good on regular mags also.
