  1. No. You'd think so but no. Using small targets at closer distance you can see the perfs, see the holes, etc. It just isn't the same unless you are putting them past the range where you can see those things. Also, when shooting with irons, the change in focal plane is different when going from looking at the target to looking at your sights. If you are 100% target focused this doesn't really matter but it's something to think about
  2. I shot a 40 Tanfo with a Patriot Defense 9mm barrel and extractor for about a year before I got my stock master. It required a very small amount of tuning the extractor to make it hold a bit tighter but was reliable after that.
  3. Why is that funny? That's what everyone has been saying the whole time
  4. Bluetooth sync is awesome actually. It captures more than just the final time. If you have the Practiscore Competitor app you can compare splits for every shot
  5. What I'm saying is hitting the reset button on these timers doesn't actually do anything. It just readies the timer for the next time you want to hit start. All the stuff is still in there. I probably hit reset about 20 times between shooters because I don't want to get to the point where I go to hit start and the button doesn't work because the reset button hasn't been hit yet. It's just a quirk of the CED 7000
  6. That data is from like two years ago's annual report to the BOD.
  7. The CED 7000 can recall up to 10 strings. The reset button just has to be pushed before the start button can be pressed again. It doesn't erase your time to hit the reset button on those.
  8. I've won matches overall when shooting Production but it's not possible when good shooters shooting "better" divisions show up.
  9. SSP-15 will be interesting now in terms of the overall, but let's not dirty up this thread with IDPA talk
  10. I have always said the reason Production is dying is because Practiscore presents the default results view as the overall, and people are migrating to CO, Open and PCC because finishing 24th at your local match even though you won your division sucks.
  11. You'd be wrong though. Shooting major is easy mode.
  12. Is anyone at your club a certified RO? I know it happens but I don't think a match director should be someone not certified. I tell people to take the RO and CRO course even if they don't think they want to work matches because it's important to know the rules of the sport you compete in, as a competitor. As an MD it's even more important. If one of the 5 MDs at your club is certified but doesn't want the responsibility of being full time MD, can he be the RM and you be the MD? MD is responsible for putting the match on the ground, keeping it running, and organized, and the RM is responsible for enforcing the rules.
  13. Instead of just answering his question someone should let this guy know how to actually find the answer in the future. All Production guns are also legal in CO, and the Production list is published on the USPSA site. When I need to find it I usually just google USPSA Production list and go there https://uspsa.org/productionlist
  14. Go to your local USPSA match and give the hotshot GM there some cash
  15. No dude. Just no. Hammer down is all that is required. It doesn't matter if the safety can or can't be applied while the hammer is down, because it is never required, in any division, to apply the safety on a DA/SA gun when the hammer is down. 8.1.2.2 and 8.1.2.3 fully cover this situation, although the last sentence of 8.1.2.5 is a mystery to me because it's nonsense.
  16. Get a mag release that is tapped for a button and you can try the various sizes and shapes to see what works. I like the Dawson low pro mag button but I have average size man hands, for her I'd probably look at one of the paddle releases.
  17. That's not really answering the question. He's asking what do you think is better from a scoring perspective, not what reloading setup do you have
  18. When you imagine doing any subconscious task, how do you do it, currently? Like what are the steps you think about if I were to say make me a bag of popcorn? I assume you can verbalize it? Maybe you need to come up with stage plans the same way. A stage plan might be something like " Two on the right, three steps, left left, right. Reload. Run to port, right to left" I use things like that on tough memory stages during the walk through utnil I'm able to memorize the stage fully. Not sure if that would work for you or not.
  19. If you allow them, you require them.
  20. It would seem the people have spoken. I'm just reporting on the obvious
