  1. I ran chrono at the Mid-Atlantic sectional last year and Phil Strader shot Sig ammo and it took all 8 of his rounds to have his average be 125.0 IIRC.
  2. Staccato is only making 9mm guns, surely the division would be minor only
  3. Big opportunity to practice one handed stuff. She will murder people on weak hand stages if she trains that way for the 3 months she has. I bet if you post in the classifieds you could find someone to donate or loan you a lefty holster for whatever gun she uses.
  4. On hard partials you don't have to aim as much with major. Safely hit some C's and move on to the next position.
  5. I loved my Cheely extra wide frame. It looks beefy and adds a decent amount of weight. For an Open gun I might not consider it but for a 40 major gun LOVE it.
  6. I kinda like it, but not every club has a 40 yard bay. I guess it will have to be a 1 inch plate for shorter range engagements
  7. That's kind of a silly question because you know why it matters. If it didn't, there would be no reason for the classification system at all. And I'd say yes, people generally shoot to their classification. Maybe not at the tippy top of the sport, but if you go to any local match, the GMs are beating the Ms who beat the As and so on, for the most part.
  8. Yes, that's exactly the point. These dorks that can't shoot and got their EZGM card in PCC never have a chance to win any hardware anymore when shooting a pistol.
  9. I think what he was saying is that USPSA should put in the rules that shooting to a high class in the dopey rifle division should affect your pistol classification. At least that's what it looked like to me.
  10. Rifle shooters should just learn how to shoot better
  11. All the PCC GMs I know are like this, lol
  12. Once you have a classifiction in the other division, it can't be more than one lower than your highest. It doesn't mean you automatically are classified in all the divisions.
  13. Usually when you "forget" a target, it's because you never planned to shoot it in the first place. I've done 20 stage walkthroughs before and then gotten to the line to shoot and noticed a target I never saw during the stage brief. That's exciting.
  14. I don't understand the question. Why not just shoot CO with your Shadow 2 in both sports?
  15. Make friends with the good shooters and steal them during the walk through. Or just follow them and listen
  16. I understand. My knees are jacked. I'm never going to win a nationals or even an Area match at this point, but you'd have to kill me to get me to give up my title.
  17. In an arrangement like this, pretend like the scoring target is like a hat that is sitting on top of the no shoot. All of the brown target behind the no shoot is effectively non-existant, so #3 and #6 can't be an A, there is no A zone behind the white target. #4 is an A because it actually touches part of the exposed A zone
  18. You could chop off both my legs and I'll never give up my G cards.
  19. This doesn't really work for matches that don't sell out, but some local matches here open up reg to specific people who are known to be good workers/ROs/setup/teardown guys before the match is open to everyone else.

  21. Read the WSB, pay attention to the round count. Walk the stage and count the targets and make sure these numbers match. If not, you forgot one. After that set your plan, and review it 100 times until it's your time to shoot. You should be able to close your eyes and run through the entire stage in your head at that point. Most new people don't walk the stages enough. Maybe they think they are in the way of other people or something, I dunno, but I see it all the time. The worst shooters at the match will walk a stage once, think "I'm good", then go stink it up....I wonder why.
  22. The gauge is 141.25mm, which is the limit. The wording used to say 140mm +1.25mm tolerance but that is long gone in the rulebook. IPSC is 140mm though
