  1. Amazing what information opening the rulebook for 30 seconds can yield.
  2. He wants to borrow my Tanfo for a while. Send me some cash and I'll tell him he can't have it
  3. Again, coming in here with opinions on how to change the most popular division? Why?
  4. You can. I did for years in Production, but it's a 4 round handicap to do it in CO. When I switched to CO from Prod I got a 9mm conversion barrel. Prior to the last rulebook revision this wasn't allowed but the language was changed.
  5. One of many things that you iron out in dryfire
  6. The optic is like an inch higher than the optic on my tanfo. I'm sure I'd get used to it but I still don't like it.
  7. When you're shooting groups, less pressure may help...but in a match situation, that's not going to be the answer. You don't have to death grip with your strong hand though. Most of the recoil control comes from your weak hand pressure and leverage. Also, the more surface area/contact area you have on the gun, the less you actually have to squeeze, so work on proper grip technique and getting as much meat on the left side of the gun as possible.
  8. One thing I'll mention that no one else has in response to something you said earlier. You will never get rid of the wobble zone. Your gun is always going to be moving a little bit, especially during a USPSA match. I used to demo when teaching classes I could move the gun all around in a figure 8 and still shoot good groups. What you can't do and still shoot good groups is jerk the trigger.
  9. Personally, I use Kydex for everything except Open. I can do draws under .70 with Kydex so what is the race holster going to get me, except a DQ once in 2018 for dropping the gun during the COF before I even put my hand on it.
  10. It nearly happened to me once. A friend/teammate of mine shoots the same gun with the same basepads and was the shooter before me. I staged my mags as they were scoring his run, and then he went around to grab the spare mags he didn't use off the barrels. We had a different stage plan so my mags were on different barrels and he just grabbed two that I planned on using. I saw it and we had a big laugh that he was trying to sabotage me.
  11. If I'm the RM this guy doesn't get a reshoot either. The RO touching him doesn't affect the stage run if his gun is broken.
  12. It's preferred you stage your mags when you are on deck intead of after make ready. Mag on barrel starts can cause delays if shooters dont do this, especially on large stages with the barrels far apart.
  13. Boomer 1911 revenue? The Single Stack Classic at Pasa just had 48 shooters in it.
  14. It's a $2000 flight that takes 24 hours would be the primary reason for many
  15. They make an adapter that allows the dot to be mounted to the slide. Makes it stick up higher than is ideal though IMO https://www.laugoarms.com/ipsc-retro-pdo.html
  16. Do you know any that never scored well on standardized tests that haven't practiced in 8 years that still have valid opinions?
  17. B class shooter, hasn't shot a match in 8 years, is a mod on enos, and posting nonsense. Par for the course.
  18. Production division was popular here 5 years ago too...
  19. Because the basis of the division is Production division.
  20. The feed lips are too far apart. You could modify the lips but I'm not sure what other dimensions are different.
  21. Carry Optics already is Production Optics. CO guns must be on the Production list to be eligible
