  1. The point is there are a bunch of people with off the shelf 2011s (or similar) that pretty much only come in 9mm that can't shoot CO right now.
  2. That is the entire point and anyone thinking otherwise is just being silly
  3. Generally RMs hate them because they can't be calibrated and can lead to reshoots. Edge hits are reshoots, etc. It seems like they were already de facto "banned" by RMs not allowing them to be used in those matches, now it's just codified in the rules.
  4. ep 28 at 9:30 for some discussion on this https://uspsa.org/podcast/nroi Doubling down on their answer. Obviously the only people that agree with this are the people running the NROI.
  5. Make Lim Minor it's own division too
  6. Initially because the first CO Nats was a one day match after Production Nats in Illinois, and people were going to stick around and just shoot it with their Prod gear. That was quickly outlawed.
  7. This is why USPSA shooters show up to IDPA matches and destroy them. Embrace the game and train to improve for the game. I promise it won't ruin your CCW capability.
  8. What NROI says doesn't mean anything as they clearly state in their answer.
  9. Iron sights on an optics gun? What are those?
  10. I know for at least one AD position there were no other volunteers
  11. Further bulls#!t on their part. But good news, it doesn't mean anything keep in mind that this blog and the discussions and questions posed here DO NOT represent any official rulings or interpretations.
  12. Welcome to USPSA where the rules don't mean anything and the points don't matter
  13. That they actually backtracked on an answer they already posted on their site. I assumed all the NROI people had come to a consensus before posting these every month...
  14. I'd bet a crisp 20 that if there is a response here it will be to basically call us all idiots
  15. 4-4-4 reload is no good because it says engage the targets, reload then engage the targets. You have to shoot at least one shot to Engage a target, per the rulebook. So 3-3-3-r-1-1-1 would work
  16. I'm trying to remember my training but I know we discussed "double jeopardy" in the RO or CRO course. From memory, you can only gain 5 points per shot, so the penalty is 10 points per shot. If you are faulting and shooting wrong handed, you can still only earn 5 points per shot so the penalty is still double that, not two penalties. I'm not 100% on that though. ALSO, I'm of the opinion that 10.2.2.1 does not apply in this case. That rule I believe is in place to prevent giving a penalty for not firing enough shots on a stage, or firing too many, which is already addressed either by extra shot/hit penalties or Mikes. In this case, the shooter still shot 12 shots, so 10.2.2.1 does not apply at all.
  17. The question of the month and the explanation that follows is supposed to clear things up
