  1. It was a silver trigger. It was a target model with the short reset. I liked the short reset, trigger reach was a hair long. The pad of my finger was on the front edge of the trigger instead of the flat. Yes, you can switch to a black SP01 trigger for a shorter reach.
  2. The SP01 is almost identical to the stock two, I'll trade one for your old style.
  3. Did the SP01 you shot have a silver trigger or a black one? The black SP01 trigger is the shortest reach:
  4. No, the cone is too small and the barrel of a CM is 14mm OD and the GT barrel is 15mm OD.
  5. So would you recommend going back over it and trying to polish it some more or polishing some other places on it. Or it is just the way the pre-Bs are spec'd? Try reinstalling the stock disco to test the theory, then compare discos to see where the pre b is rubbing.
  6. Yes, the Tanfo model does, I had to modify the 2011 one to bring it down.
  7. Vertical dot is lame, horizontal C-More is what it's all about People talk about losing the dot... Never happened to me.
  8. I've never shot .45 with 700X but my 40/9 data is almost identical between 700X and Clays; with 4.6gr of Clays under a 185gr bullet I got 175PF.
  9. Do you have any solid intel on this? I haven't been able to find any.
  10. Antti, I know exactly what you mean with the Gold Team, I had one in 9mm, I prefer 9mm over 38 just because of the cost and hassle of 38 and it sounds like you're leaning the same way. You could just change the barrel to one with no holes and use it with the existing comp, but unfortunately that little two port comp leaves much to be desired (which is why they drilled 12 holes in the barrel ). I think the best solution is a barrel with no holes and a comp with a modern design and at least three ports, then you could drill a few holes as you saw fit to flatten it out.
  11. I'm not crazy about the Henning trigger it uses a unique trigger return system which is easier to adjust but I don't like the squared edges on the trigger and it is quite a bit of money. You can get just as light a trigger using a regular trigger with the Cajun Gun Works reduced power trigger return spring for CZ, the sear spring for a CZ is also lighter than the Tanfo one; if you change those two, plus the trigger plunger spring and polish everything you should be good to go. On a SAO pistol I generally don't recommend changing the hammer spring to a lighter one because it's just a short cut to a lighter trigger, it can cause light strikes, and makes the trigger break less crisp. I only shot about a hundred rounds through the Hunter .45 upper before I sold it. I have a 10mm Hunter on it's way I plan to rebarrel in .40
  12. I was in a similar situation, but all my guns were .40s and 9s; I was dying to try a 6" Tanfoglio and the only one I could get my hands on was the .45. I ended up selling the .45 setup and the frame has worn a few different hats!
  13. You are correct, the Hunter and Limited frames are the same. As fate would have it, I'm pretty sure the parts you just bought started with me
  14. Lots of variables. Obviously the lighter the recoil spring the harder the slide comes back, also it doesn't take much to stop the slide unlocking from the barrel lugs, but as soon as it does it starts building momentum, at the end of the slide stroke it will definitely bite
  15. My inclination is to say no. I have shot the cone barrel and straight barrel side by side in 9mm and could not tell the difference, I will shortly have a cone barrel in .40 so I'll be able to make that comparison too. I'd like to do some blind comparisons with other shooters and see if they can tell the difference
  16. I've been doing my part! I've done an SSE every month for over a year.
