Bummer, I guess I might have to auction mine off
-
EAA carries a factory big stick, but I don't know of a base pad made for it, I think it holds ~27 and costs ~$165.
-
$100 to do the weld, plus two tubes, spring, follower and base pad. Ends up ~$210 total.
-
Highercapacity.us He'll do a weld up for you. I have two, one holds 29+1, the other 30+1.

Are you shooting Norco Saturday? You can film me shooting it

Minimum trigger pull in Production?

Even if you leave 1911s out of it, I think 10 minor/8 major would do something to make the division more inclusive/interesting. -
Should I get into Limited Class USPSA?

"Tuning" mags means in the 2011 world you can't just spend $100/mag, load them and shoot, you have to "tune" them to work reliability. TS mags are the best in the game, buy the mags, springs, followers and pads from CZ Custom and they hold 21+1 and run all day long. Do the same with 2011 mags and you might get 19+1 reliably, 20+1 most of the time and 21+1 half the time if you keep a rabbit's foot in your pocket! -

I don't like your math A reloading press is not an expense, but a depreciating asset and with Dillon's no BS lifetime warranty it doesn't depreciate that much. Let's say you buy all your reloading gear for $1,000 and after a year you could sell it for $900, the expense is $100, in which case the press pays for itself in less than half that time. That's what kills me about people stressing out about equipment purchases: you haven't "spent" anything, merely converted cash into gun on our balance sheet; if you buy used and look for good deals there's a good chance the gear can be sold at any time for what you paid for it. Consumables like bullets, powder, primers, fuels, and match fees are expenses (along with the depreciation of your assets as mentioned earlier). -
9mm major guidance on primers and Ram Shot Silhouette

I was using Winchester SPP, but CCI should work fine. -

I'm working on eliminating all the 40s from my life, so if you're interested in a lightened slide I'd be willing to send you mine to try. If you like it you could send back the your factory slide with some cash to cover the work, if not you could return my slide with a few dollars to cover the shipping. Most people don't have a chance to try it before taking the plunge, so I'm happy to provide the opportunity -

I found CFE pistol to be a little faster, same load as above with 7.4gr of CFE made 164pf. I don't have any 124 data with either of those powders, but with others I've found 124s make the same PF with ~7% less powder than 115s. -

Have you ever shot a CZ Russel? The biggest difference between a factory pistol and a tuned accushadow is the hammer hooks, you can buy a race hammer or file them yourself, but a 2# SA pull is possible with nothing more than a file and sand paper. Accushadows cost $2K because people want them, they're not some magical supergun. I wrote a beginner's tuner's guide to prove you can get top performance with a minimal investment: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773 -

9mm major guidance on primers and Ram Shot Silhouette

I've only put Silhouette over the chrono once and my highest charge only made 160pf, but it'll give you an idea: 7.8gr under an Xtreme 115gr at 1.170" with a Winchester SPP through a 5.4" barrel with two 3/16" holes. Does your barrel have holes? -

"I have a Walther PPQ M2 and Glock 17 with 6 to 8 mags each and holsters for both." Sell that crap off, add it to your $3K and you'll have all the cash you need for your new Open gun!!! -
I started in L10, then Limited, Open and then Production, although I've only shot one match in Limited and one in Production in the past two years . Open has a funny way of doing that to you!
