  1. as the person selling the gun, you don't need to pay transfer fees. that's up to the buyer's FFL of their choice. now, the FFL you use may charge you a fee to ship it (their time, gas, etc.) You can sell it for whatever price you deem fair and tell them plus actual shipping cost. once they give you their address, you can always get an estimate on the shipping cost to add to the final price. .
  2. dry fire a lot... getting to the indoor range, I would print out 6" circles on the printer and tape 2, 3, or 4 to the backer and shoot different sequences
  3. I have a TLR on my G17. I use Red Hill Tactical holster...works great. solid lock up and quick draws.
  4. an A is 5 points and a miss is -10 points no matter what you shoot... not taking anything away from Nils...I believe Dave Sevigney won limited using minor loads before also...
  5. but it's also limited to the number of shots...so you know you have to reload anyway...
  6. free style...shoot the targets as and when available...
  7. when i dry tumbled, i used Dillon case lube - worked great. now, I am wet tumbling and i am using brass juice in a plastic tub with lid and shake, shake, shake...it works OK. I have used one shot and they both work similar. I am seriously thinking about dry tumbling with the Dillon case lube after the wet process...
  8. like Sarge said - depends on your grip. But I have seen problems with inadvertent locking the slide during firing with rounds in the mag. It never happens during practice though...
  9. trigger... if you get the 17, then minimal - get the 3.5# connector (I believe the 34 already has this) if you get the 34, get the non-extended slide lock (standard)...
  10. I've used BT for years in PD. they worked great using my Glock. that is until I changed to Red Hill tactical a few years ago. I find it less flexing and gives me a more positive draw. RHT is a little bit more pricier but worth it...
  11. Yes, lower providence would be your best bet. they normally shoot USPSA on the first Sat. of the month. the match director is Ted Murphy. you can also talk to Dean Mioli - the guy running the ICORE match.
  12. what is "greater philly area"? where are you at specifically?
  13. the factor is not just the price but availability of primers...they are starting to become more available, but not always readily available. BTW - prices are also crazy elevated...
  14. I used to dry tumble and no - don't need to wash them down again...no need to wash them in the first place. I wet tumble now and the difference is that wet tumbling comes out shinier...but needs spray lube. I'm thinking about dry tumbling with the Dillon Lube (What I used when I dry tumbled) after the wet tumbling process. the spray lubes works but it's not uniform.
  15. not exactly true...the US has more restrictions than most other countries as far as the gun itself goes. ownership, however, is more restricted in other countries than in the US. this and the availability because of the restrictive ownership makes guns a lot more expensive than in the US. guns in the US cost about half as much as they do in most other countries. so yes, other countries enjoy the same popular firearms as we do...more people in other countries enjoy less restrictive fully automatics and suppressed firearms more than we do.
  16. I can vouch for this as I have lent Russian shooters my gun and mags in two different World Shoots.
  17. you slow it down to minor PF loads and you lose accuracy at further distances...and it's cheaper to reload 9s than .45s with the amount of ammo we use for the sport...
  18. upside is that it's cheaper in the long run (cheaper brass, bullets and you use less powder) and you get to play with a different caliber...
  19. Easiest fix would be to just use a different bullet profile for the Glock. I don't think an aftermarket barrel will help because of the angle of the way the bullet feeds.
  20. lead-filled liquid? the amount of lead that might be in the liquid is so small, it's not going to impact the environment in any way. if you are worried about lead getting into the ground, you might want to think about all the lead you are shooting and leaving behind in the ground at the range. and the amount of copper that might be in the solution isn't going to kill all the bacteria that is being used to purify the water at the water treatment plant either...
