  1. Vortex 1x4 works great as well with 16" I switched to an 18" and haven't noticed much trouble getting in and out of tight spots in comparison to the 16"
  2. Check out www.hillbillly223.com He does great work and regularly paints for Nighthawk and a few other manufacturers
  3. Try to break it down in sections...clear a section and get to your next position while reloading on the go. Figure out your best general movement first, then section it off by roundcount and target availability
  4. I used to get to the range early to try to burn a mag before the match signups started. Even at an empty bay without targets. I'm not sure if that's allowed, but it helps if you can pull it off
  5. I don't know if that would catch on. After shooting a shooter should focus on getting everything back in order I'm with Sarge on that one... I think that the ro should be aware if what's going on and then after all has been reset...say, hey you in the green shirt, please go and check that target for tape...obviously pick the farthest one. Then when he comes back and says, no, it's taped. Oh, ok..thank you for your help If he does it on the next stage...repeat until he gets the picture
  6. Yes, always assume RO's are watching for everything. ..as they should
  7. I was discussing this with another competitor this weekend. I have had a few tumbling here and there recently. I have backed off crimp since I shooted plated xtremes. My question is how can I shoot 2-3k rounds with the same load/press and have one tumble every once in awhile The thought he mentioned was that shooting mixed reloaded range brass might be part of the answer to my problem at least. Some case walls may be thicker and cause more crimp than the rest? moparnut88, are all of yours tumbling or just intermittent?
  8. I love mine..light weight and tough
  9. I have mine laser engraved by Tony at www.makereadyproshop.com He ships super fast and will shoot you a quote if you email him
  10. I've always thought it may be from too much crimp, not too little
  11. Mobile 1 Full synthetic is another great inexpensive lube a lot of folks use
  12. A production ready G34 just sold locally here for 600.00 with extra mags and a holster. Be patient Shoot both and decide what fits you best. I believe you'll spend more to upgrade the Springfield in comparison
  13. It's issued with your USPSA membership and also listed on your Front Sight magazine mailing label
  14. A lot of the guys around here use this... http://www.makereadyproshop.com/pro-grip/
  15. Another idea for the MD is to announce at the shooters meeting that resetting is required and add it to the stage briefings for a few matches (if that's allowed?) Then, you can award procedurals as required. If the repeat offender has already been spoken to then there isn't much ekse to do except tell them they aren't welcome if they can't play by the rules
  16. Can I get in on this? A77565 55.83% Limited
  17. For reference, I've ended up at 4.0gn TG at 1.175oal for 169pf in a 5"STI
