What is the status of your gun? I just got mine last Monday, went to the indoor range on Friday and fired about 200 rounds. Had some brass catch during the cycle, figure its bouncing off the c-more mount. I was running it very wet. Fired another 200 rounds on sunday and sighted the dot for 33 feet, loading my 9mm to 1.170 with 7.7grs of Longshot. I had a few more pieces of brass catch while the new bullet was loading. One looked like a stove pipe but the other bullet was already partially in the chamber. The times that it does catch the brass is when I am doing a rapid double tap.Curious how ours is performing. If brass is bouncing off the bottom of the CMore mount I've had good luck using a Dremel and relieving a lot of the aluminum off the bottom of that mount, just above the extraction port. There is about an eighth of an inch of material that you can radius, that might help. Can you post a picture of this? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Balance is all I can suggest. Many good points have been posted. If it's a small issue now, it gets even tougher with kids. Flip it 180 and see what fits for your situation...Good luck -
I thought the RM had to make the call to allow the backup gun not the RO? Just curious

Rise Armament RA-140 trigger, anyone use one?
racnsoonr replied to JordanGriffith's topic in Rifle - Technical
Will do. At a minimum, put some yellow JP springs in a mil spec for an immediate difference, but the Timney is awesome to that in comparison. If this one works well, you can't beat the price -

I just bought one for a house gun build I'm working on. I haven't had a chance to build it yet so I can't speak to the trigger feel and pull, but the quality looks really good for the money. I have a Timney in my competition gun so I'm curious to see the results myself -
Good pics and info!

It took a bit longer than I'm used to. I bought Sordins shipped to the US from them. Price was worth the wait im my case

I second the S&B' s. I really like them so far in 9mm and 40. Price is hard to beat

I think he was squeezing the sides together to hold the mag. What you describe doesn't sound exactly the same. I'm sure others can add their thoughts but it may be worth a call to STI
-
When you say gripping harder, do you mean massive bear grip? I have a friend with giant hands that can grip the pistol firm enough to hold the mag after the release has been pushed. He had to learn a slightly less firm medium bear grip instead of big bear grip he was using as he was squeezing the mag

I'm about to ship my 9mm 2011 to Boyd at www.hillbilly223.com Funny name, great work I plan to disassemble and put different parts in bags for different colors. I'd feel comfortable shipping it complete, but coconfirm with him. He paints for Nighthawk and several other manufacturers regularly

I just got off the phone with Dawson...they don't have any in stock. I'm # 13 on the wait list and ordered on September 9th

Interesting. .I'm on their list and haven't heard from them

I have been using cr speed for usosa and 3 gun with 2011 mags for awhile now. No problems at all. Like some have said, since them down until you feel comfortable with the tension.

I bought mine direct awhile ago before mrps had them in stock, but I believe you may save some on the shipping from makereadyproshop...worth a look

Good info..I've been searching

I didn't think it was up to the shooter to ask for a reshoot? Only available if the RO offers it In this case I would only offer a reshoot if a hit at the bottom didn't knock the target over. If the shooter takes the target a second time after that, he owns it imo

Agreed..I shot a 17 for a long time and wish I would've went with a 34 for the reasons mentioned above

I'd much rather have a ziptie down the barrel vs a coat hanger

What OAL are you guys using for TG with those loads?

Rem 1100 loading gate/ easy loader ?'s
racnsoonr replied to NoKimberDave's topic in Shotgun - Technical
I cut mine down farther as well to keep from snagging my thumbs so much. I was still weakhand loading. I also rounded the fingers smoother for the same reason. I ended up with an M2 before I got around to cutting on the loading port any. I think the tube I bought may have been from Dave's as well. Nordic didn't have anything for mine when I needed it- 30 replies
