  1. Is that possible? I didn't think the wrap around grips would stay on if in two pieces as the wrap around aspect helps them stay on the gun (along with the grip screws)? The don't have indentions like two piece grip panels. But if you can figure out a way I'd be interested. Yes, they work fine, want to try some? Thanks for the offer, but I actually have a set. But I haven't removed the front wrap around part. I put full grip on my Accu and loved it. Then my buddy told me they weren't legal, so i never used them in a match. I guess i didn't look closely enough. I thought if the rubber side panels were cut off the front wrap around part that the grip screw itself wouldn't be enough to keep it securely on the gun? But if the grip screw will keep them on without the front wrap around part I may try that.

  3. Good point.....if a grip sleeve is legal for PRD?
  4. It should be legal. The section on grips just say grip panels are allowed as long as they don't extend below the butt of the gun. I've never tried the just the rubber grip panels. Are they that much thicker than the CZC thick lemon grater grips?
  5. The person I discussed it with is Eric Griggs (anyone who has shot Production, SS, Revolver Nats will know him), and he discussed it with Troy. And they said the wrap around Hogue rubber grips weren't legal. Eric and I shoot local matches together and we both shoot a CZ. And we are both fans of the Hogue wrap around grip. But, unfortunately when I asked Eric about it he said he'd already talked to Troy about it and they aren't legal.
  6. Could the OP cut the finger grooves off the grip and acheive what he is looking for yet remain legal? I asked that same question as I was hoping to do the same. But they said it changes the thickness of the front strap so changes the grip profile even with the grooves removed. A buddy of mine discussed that with Troy McManus and it was still a no-go. I'm obviously no expert on the subject but I guess I don't understand why the side grip panels can be made thicker with an aftermarket grip and still be legal but the front strap can't be made thicker? So, I'm just going by what they told me.
  7. I checked into the Production legality of the Hogue rubber grips with finger grooves for CZ. I was told they weren't legal, which is disappointing because bought some and they are great. Make the grip feel more like a Stock 2 or 3 large frame. Apparently the wrap around feature of these grips on the front strap change the guns grip "profile."
  8. I've got them in both my STI Edges. Great part. Fits perfectly. I didn't need to "fit" anything.
  9. I've placed four or five separate orders with them. I've never had a problem. A couple parts were out of stock on one order and they asked if I wanted to wait for the order to ship when the other parts were back in inventory, or send the current parts and they would ship other parts later (at no extra shipping charges)? I just told them to ship all together as I was in no hurry. When out of stock orders came back in they shipped the entire order.
  10. I have a CZC Accu Shadow and an Accu Shadow worked over by Mink at Automatic Accuracy. The CZC Accu is great. However, I prefer the Mink Accu. I told Matt I didn't want a super light trigger pull. I wanted it crisp and smooth. And that's what I got. The trigger pull is just a hair under 3# SA and about 5.5# DA. Right where I want it. Buttery smooth and the trigger break is like snapping a glass rod. Again, they are both great. But the Mink Accu has the trigger exactly as I want it.
  11. 147 Xtreme Copper plated RN 3.6gr of IMR PB 1.125 OAL PF consistently at 130
  12. I've got several PRD guns that I've toyed with; Accu's, Stock 2 9mm's, Stock 3 9mm's, Sig X5 Allround's, Sig P226 USPSA model's, Beretta Elite II's, and a few others. For me, hands down the best pistol is the CZ Accu. I love everything about it except for the grip. I don't hate the grip, It's just a little on the thin side even with the CZC thick lemon grater grips. I really prefer the grip size of the large frame Stock 2 or 3. I even prefer the X5 grip to the Accu. But I really prefer the trigger of my Matt Mink tuned CZ Accu. The trigger is much more smooth and crisp than on any other gun. And the balance on the Accu seems almost perfect. I have noticed that with rapid fire with the load I'm shooting (147gr Xtreme over 3.6gr of IMR PB) that the Stock 3 sights barely seem to flinch, less than the Stock 2 or Accu. The Stock 3 sights are back on target quicker than Stock 2 or Accu. It's like shooting a pellet gun. Maybe because of more weight on the slide towards the muzzle? Slow fire, freestyle, while standing, groupings at 20 yards for me were all practically identical with Accu, Stock 2, Stock 3, and X5 Allround. They were all grouped tight. The P226 USPSA's and Elite II's grouped very well, but not quite as well as the others. I'm sure someone with younger eyes and a more steady hand could shoot a noticeable difference, but i couldn't.

    SP-01 Magazines

I use both factory CZ mags and Mecgar with Springer pads. I use both mags for local matches, but use only the Mecgar for Level II or III matches.
  14. Would the Hogue wrap around grips be Production legal?
  15. Dejadoo, yes, with the stainless guide rod.
  16. My CZ Accu Shadow with the CZC aluminum thick lemon grater grips, extended Aussie (match) barrel and Springer basepad comes in at 42.6. I've got 3M walk tape covering the grips.
  17. TechNetArmory has them on Gunbroker starting out at $999 for Stock 3 9mm. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=490308962 Wholesale Hunter has the Stock 3 .40 for $890 on Gunbroker. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=490061287

    Sig P320

Yeah, that was kind of my thought, too. Just speculation, but maybe the P320 Target will be 5" with fiber optic front sight, and maybe the Max P320 will be the Target model with an improved trigger and stippled grips? Or maybe you they will offer both a 4.7" and 5" version? Just all speculation at this point. But curious as to what the difference will be between the Target model and Max model?

    Sig P320

Alma, have you been involved in the discussions for the P320 Target and Max P320? Or any other Team Sig shooters?

    Sig P320

So Max posted on his FB page a Sig P320 Target model and Max P320 model will come out next year. Any Team Sig members have any insight on these models?
  21. At a local match last weekend of the 10 people on my squad, 7 were shooting a CZ. There was an SP-01, a few SP-01 Shadows, and a few SP-01 Accu Shadows. I have been noticing more and more CZ's from last year to now. The CZ seems to be the most common Production gun in my area. I shoot an Accu and love it. I think the reason I see a lot of CZ's and only occasionally a Tanfo Stock 2 is because of availablity.
  22. Praetorian97 I had already read that thread that you posted. It is VERY helpful and apprciate you putting that all down on a thread. With the lack of a video for either the Stock 2 or Stock 3, I think that is what I will use as my guide. I have both a Stock 2 9mm and a Stock 3 9mm that I will need to do some work on to improve the trigger and get rid of the gritty feeling. I'm not really worried about having a really light trigger. I prefer around a 6.5-7# DA and about a 2.5-3# SA. I just want a smooth, crisp trigger. Is there much difference between the Stock 2 and Stock 3 that I need to be aware of when doing my home gunsmithing job? I've done plenty of work on CZ's and Sig's but never to any EAA/Tanfo gun.
  23. Ok. Thanks for info. I've seen some of the videos for the single action Witness pistols, but have never seen anything specific to the double action Stock 2 or Stock 3.
  24. Yeah, I've gone over the Atlas thread in the CZ forum for work I've done on my CZ's. That thread, and Atlas, were a huge help. I know my CZ's pretty well now, but I've never done anything to a Stock 2. I know what to do from reading many threads to improve it overall, but I'd prefer to see it. I'm more visual when it comes to this stuff.
